Dinner and a movie sounds great.

Dh and I are going to a play on Wednesday but I don't think we'll get to go to dinner too. But that's ok.

The good news is my house is all clean except the patio but it's raining very hard and windy so it's getting wet. Luckily dh saw the clouds and the boys grabbed all the pool towels and stuff to bring in. Parents are coming at 5 cause they'll be staying late for dh's fireworks show.
I can not believe how dusty it was under the day bed

We tossed the day bed out today...it was on it's last legs. Trying to slowly make room for the new furniture coming in.

I know.

I like that benefit better than the fact that they reimburse me for up to $3000 of my costs.

I packed 2 big boxes and a trash bag full of clothes to donate. I still need to get back in the closet and do my dresser and lingerie chest. That will be done this next week.

I'm thinking I'm going to be awfully embarrassed if half way in the cleaning for my daughters furniture to come in I crash and stewskie and Jackie show up while the house looks like a tornado hit it.

Then Lucy would think I was making it up that my house doesn't normally look like it does when she was here

It'll all be fine. No one cares about the house--only about seeing you and sharing time.

I know. I just sorta in the back of my mind think it's almost funny that stews could potentially walk into a whirlwind and when Lucy came she walked into my tornado from the kitchen remodel.

Seems I invite people to stay with me and then start on big projects and they don't get to see the "good side" .

It's okay though. We'll be in the pool alot anyway. And somehow I don't think it'll bother stews anymore than it bothered Lucy.

It was odd. Even though I was disappointed that Lucy didn't get to see my house all spruced up, I knew she wasn't judging me and wasn't embarrassed anyway.

I feel that way now too....like if I do crash, stews wouldn't say a thing other than "um, do you at least have a clean towel for me?"

It's kinda cool though.....next time I get ready to do a project on the house and putting stuff out here to choose from, I'll have more people that'll know what really works with me and my house.

When Lucy came, I had the one clean towel hanging and failed to tell her where the others were. I didn't realize it until after she left and I was SO embarrassed that I'd failed to do that.

I'm doing girlie stuff today. I'm sitting here while my hair processes my highlights. Dh did it for me. I painted my nails--both finger nails and toe nails--fingers are a light pink and toes are a shocking pink w/sparkles. LOL I also tweezed my eyebrows--they were bad. I'll be all pretty later.

Still raining here. Only 50% chance but it doesn't look so good for fireworks or pool time today. Dh said he'll do the fireworks in between the rain drops. The boys would be very disappointed as would the parents. Me---ehhhh, not so much.

dd18 and I went to the lake and watched part of the carboard boat regatta and looked around a bit.

dh and I just got back from lowes, picked out paint (I think) for the house. bought a sample of the color to see for sure.

dh is going to bbq burgers and we are just going to hang out together tonight. I will probably get most of my packing done too but I have plenty of time tomorrow if I need.

it sure has been hot the last few days here. HOT HOT HOT! it's going to cool off just after I leave, lol.
