Most condiments contain vinegar so I think it's safe to keep them. When you touched the container--was it still cold?

The power was on for an hour when I woke up. I don't know if the coolness I was feeling made it through the night or if I was just feeling the coolness from the fridge being on for an hour.

That is hilarious!!!

We talked a lot in the Bible study last night about "moving on with God". Since the study has been about King David, we have been talking about his sin with Bathsheba and then his repentance and also when his son killed his other son and tried to take over his throne. David could have been bitter and just continued in his grief and guilt but he didn't. He repented and moved on to what God had for him next which of course ultimately was writing down the plans for His glorious temple that Solomon built (son born out of the marriage between him and Bathsheba). So David didn't wallow in guilt and self-pity and self-condemnation but let God use him for His glory! That's one reason why David was a man "after God's own heart". Isn't that just awesome? This study has been rich, that's just part of what we have gone through. Next week is the last week and we are going to talk about what God has taught each one of us that will make a different in our lives. I encouraged them to write it all down so they will remember and LIVE IT. Can you tell I LOVE this?

Lucy. Sounds like you have a good game plan. I worked for 3 hours and so far at home have baked a pb gooey butter cake, made a ranch cheese spread and a rum cake is in the oven right now. I have laundry and cleaning to do now but I'm taking a quick break.

Chewie!!! The kitchen was the first thing on my list and the hardest and longest. BUT I really wanted to get it out of the way before DH gets home and wants to keep everything where it is. This way I will probably have to hear a little about putting his stuff where he can't find it and where are things he misses (DUH..garbage!) but it will pass and at least I can clear out a lot of junk this way! I am about halfway done I guess, got into some cleaning out under the sink because I found a tiny leak I think in the pipe under there and it made a mess. Taking a 15 minute break right now (set the timer!)

Hi
Finished folding loads of laundry & glazed the rum cake, plus I also made a thin chocolate glaze for the pb ooey cake. I'm starting to get tired now.

I had a little mishap. Okay a huge mishap. Uh you know how you aren't supposed to put dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher? Well you really shouldn't put Dawn to soak in a pot and then decide to put the pot in the dishwasher either.

I have a mess, already been working on it for an hour or more. HELP!!! Any ideas?

I really FEEL like LUCY today. WAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

lucy, did you rinse the pans off before putting them in the dishwasher?

ok, so my day has been terrible. not looking forward to waking dh up in a bit and letting him know our van is sitting beside the freeway about 1/2 hour from here

so, we are sitting there broke down, a lady was there helping (stopped and had water). we're visiting while the van is cooling down a bit and all of a sudden she says "there isn't any traffic?" I realize, the traffic that had been going by is just down to a car here and there. it's quiet. oh and the other side of the freeway is backed up way up.

get home and find THIS on the news paper site:
Interstate 5 in both directions reopened shortly after 1 p.m. in the Ridgefield-La Center area after authorities had shut it down late Friday morning to hunt for a wanted subject, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s office.

Clark County dispatchers said authorities had one male suspect in custody, but declined to say who he is or what he was wanted for.

we were rigth along the road right near here just sitting there.

oh, and my van will still not start

Well I thought we'd get by without rain today. No luck.

My sister left her dog outside... He's terrified of thunder and storms. I guess he got back at her in his own way. He got in the garden bed and dug up her lillies that she's been waiting a year to bloom.

Now she's gonna have to come home and give him a bath before I let him back in this house.

chewie, I'm ok, just really down right now. I caused this disaster and it's gonna cost big bucks probably plus it puts dh in the position of having to deal with more while I'm gone. dd18 has to be in Vancouver Monday and she won't have a car so now dh is probably going to have to take her. she has 2 classes to attend with a short break between then so dh will have to find something to do for all that time. it's too far to come home, just to turn around and go back PLUS he really doesn't like driving the blazer on the freeway that much.

oh, and of course he has to get me to the airport on Sunday night so that's more driving the blazer on the freeway.

ugh. I just feel terrible.

I did find someone to go tow it for us. have NO idea what it's going to cost. He's going to take it to our mechanic on Monday (he picked it up today but is just going to keep it on the truck till then). they are going to just add the tow cost to our bill with the mechanic.

part of me just really wants to say forget it and go buy a new car, but the other part of me really doesn't want car payments right now. I hate this.
