Oh, that's too bad.

After this holiday week I'll be looking for a full-time position. I'm nervous because jobs are in short supply. Right now I'm doing customer service and I can't stand it anymore. I'm not meant to be on the phones. I need to get back to my own profession.

We had a Marine drill sergeant from Paris Island that trained us in the Knoxville Police Academy and I couldn't do that either. Some people just seem to have more trouble than others. There is something about the way you breathe or something, can't remember, we had to float when we did it in a ball sort of like.

Maybe but we are getting a little break here right now. I think it's eighties for today and the weekend hopefully! Even if it is high eighties it's better than it has been!

Let us know okay? I know mine was nothing like the Navy Seal training but I remember thinking I would NEVER pass a lot of the stuff we had to go through!

I have a hard time with what position to apply for. I'm often tempted to apply for Executive or Admin. Assistant positions but I not sure if I should. I'm actually a desktop publisher but those jobs are hard to find. I'm afraid I'll accept a job then get stuck in it. Ok, I just need to pray about it.

Ask and ye shall receive.

A few minutes ago the boss came and handed me the new catalog to proofread. So it's not a new job but it's funny I was just talking about how I wanted to get back to doing publishing.

There's power in prayer.

This is just what I did but I also added in a stop at the library for some dvds. I have lots more on my list so I'm here for just a quick visit.

dd went and got her food handlers card so now she just has to go to the grocery store classes Monday and then orientation whenever that is at the store.

tomorrow we are going to drive to where her classes are and then look for the shirts she needs at the mall there. I think dd20 wants to go to old navy for tank tops too.

I went and got my glasses fixed. no big deal, just needed new nose guards put on. I don't wear them much, mostly just at home in the mornings or if I'm sick sometimes but I want to wear them on the plane so I don't have to worry about sleeping in my contacts.

have the prime rib cooking.

Well...guess my holiday was just blown up like a firework. LOL Dad and stepmom bailed on the beach. Weather is kinda iffy to drive an hour to the beach.

Then I was supposed to go to a cookout with Sara on Saturday but it looks like that might be canceled too.

Sooooooo...hmmmm...what to do what to do.

I'm tired. Productive day, but tiring. Yawn!

I'm in my hotel room and I started to back my chair up and looked down to make sure I wasn't going to roll on Sam's tail, out of habit. He always lays SO close to me that I have to watch where I roll.

Todays question

What ingrained belief do you need to challenge?

Apply anyway!!! I did that when I got my current job. Funny thing is, I went for the interview and was offered the job and tried to turn it down because I thought I wasn't qualified! The CEO talked me into taking it. How weird is that! I found that it was indeed a challenge but well on any job you have to learn that particular way of doing things so it's always a challenge. I ended up being SO glad I did and now have been there 15 years!

God throws those at me from time to time and changes my mind that's for sure but it's on a case by case basis and not something I can think of right when I want to

Totally awesome night! I got all my groceries, came home and put them up, put a load of laundry in and one of the women from the Bible study called and said she and her 2 daughters wouldn't be there because she was still in the hospital (hypertension out of control). Anyway, I called the girls and asked if they wanted me to come and get them and they were at the hospital so I went to see the Mom and brought the 2 girls to the study and then took them back to the hospital. The Bible study was fantastic, best one yet and the time with the girls was SO fun too! How is it that God always blesses you MORE when you start out trying to bless someone else? I will never get over that!

Working in Front Royal today and then go back home tonight. It's 250 miles to get home, so I'm not sure how late I'll be. I may wait until tomorrow to check in here unless I have an energy surge when I get home.

Boy, I'm dreading that drive.

I LOVE working up here.....the girl I'm working with is great....so upbeat and enthusiastic!!

But the drive home......waaaaa!! I hate driving that long.

Oh well, it's the weekend and on the bright side, I'll see STEWSKIE Tuesday evening! to me!!

So hard to believe it's so close.

I almost forgot to tell you all what happened yesterday

I looked up and a cute doggie was walking thru the office with an evenlope in his mouth. He took it over to Megan and laid the envelope there and laid down and waited for the receipt.

I had a good night last night--ended up going through all the boxes of clothes. It was very emotional though cause I found some from 5 years ago--stuff I bought when I was in CT w/the boys and dh was already here in AR. I got a few bathing suits being Miss Optimistic that I was going to fit into them--and I never have. Ugh. I was crying and the boys got all upset with me and so did dh. They couldn't believe I was crying over clothes but it wasn't really the clothes, kwim? Dh cooked his famous "skillet dinner"--one of his favs but not so much for me. It's like a skillet lasagna--the boys loved it. We all swam and just hung out.

For me I need to remember that I am a child of God and made in His image. I am so down on myself ALL the time and if I could just be the best I can be at any given time, I would have a much easier, happy life. Maybe not exactly what the question asked but that's what immediately came to mind.

I would hate a long drive like that too. I hope it doesn't bother your back. Maybe you should take some tylenol before you go????

Our power went out last night for 12 hours. I've never had power out for that long so I had to go online and see what food to get rid of. Actually the site said if the temp dropped below 40 degrees F. I don't know what the temp reached in there so I'm playing it safe and tossing my milk, eggs, and meats.

I'm not sure about condiments and none of the website said anything about them. Do you ladies think they'll be good?
