One quick funny story. Sara has this little square of blanket that she keeps in the car. Well, I didn't notice yesterday and even though I've told her a million times NOT to hang stuff out the windown while I'm driving, she did. All of a sudden she screams "My blankettttt!!!!" Yeah, she hung it out the window and it flew away. So the nice mom I am, turned around, stopped dead in the middle of a two lane road...meaning two on one side and two on the other...I got her the darn blanket. Luckily it was on the yellow line after I located it. And I put my hazards on, opened the door and just scooped it up.

One thing is that I found out that of the people that are coming this weekend, 3 have birthdays we have to get presents for (not to mention a cake) and then I have a wedding shower to get a present for along with a baby shower present. Lunch with DH turned into lunch with DH and his 3 Marines. It's always a laugh. He has some good guys working for him

I got my hair highlighted and got layers put in

Got my toes painted

Went grocery shopping and picked up some diapers

Cleaned the toilets and emptied the trash

My mind is

with all I have to do in the next few days. Believe it or not I got all three birthday presents and cards at lunch! I got all three girls tote bags. They are really cute. They were on sale at Burlington Outlet. Who doesn't like tote bags?

I guess I better make a list too. DH wants chicken and sausages instead of hamburgers and hotdogs. Wha.....??? If he will grill them then what can I say? Problem is um er he is not the best griller in the world if you know what I mean.

Oh well, maybe I will have a lot of side dishes just in case

I think I am going to get potato salad from Wally World and make the birthday cake myself. I don't mind and it is so much cheaper. I'll get ice cream to go with that and chips and maybe make some deviled eggs.

dd20 and I just went to the grocery store. picked up a few things some for tonight and some for when I'm gone. I'm going to make home made mac and cheese for them to bake while I'm gone. I'll just put it in the freezer and they can use it when they want to. also am going to make a crock pot of spaghetti sauce. dd20 is going to cook a meal and then we got a package of burritos. between what we bought and leftovers they won't have to think about meals much unless they just WANT something different.

we did end up getting starbucks while there. but I got a sf vanilla iced macchiato instead of a frap. so not too bad. all I've had so far today is 2 boiled eggs. going to have to eat lunch soon, I guess.

oh, and we decided to drive to Vancouver on Friday for dd18 to see how to get where she needs for her training classes. it should be easy to get to but she will feel better just knowing. we can then go to the mall and look around a little if we need or want to. dd20 wanted us to go Friday because she has the day off and wants to come. We are going to have to get dd18 some clothes for her work uniform but may look in town first. we'll see. shouldn't be that hard. she needs black or khaki pants (she wants black), and white, black shirts with a collar (I think she could have khaki shirts too). if nothing else we'll go to the mens section and get her plain polo style shirts to start with. I would think that wouldn't be THAT hard to find right now, right? I'm just really hoping to find her what she needs before my trip so they don't have to worry about it and she'll be set for work when they want her to start.

DP, she has training classes monday. has to talk to the manager at our store and set orientation there after that.

so, she doesn't know exact start date yet.

I terrible about collecting purses, bags, totes, backpacks, etc. I just bought myself a tote two days ago. Hee hee. It's pink with hearts all over it. The girly side of me showed up when I was choosing which one to buy.

I am too! TWINS! I have 2 pink ones with hearts all over them! One is sort of like a beach tote that I bought first and then I bought an "I Love Lucy" one online.
