I use photobucket.com if you don't have an account create one its free upload your pics when you scroll over them in your album there will be 4 things you can copy you want to copy the image code and just paste. Its a big picture they use to have thumbnails and if they do i don't know where the code is. But its prety simple. Im going to go get dressed and take some pics now. Ill be back to post. Yes im still in my pjs. If im not going anywhere why get dressed i say just creates more laundry later.

Ok this is the worst way I look no makeup unfixed hair. So we will see how they compare in 3 months. The bottom one is of me before I started to gain weight again. Thats what I want to get back to. Before I got to that I was what I am now only 1 pound heavier and I lost 50 pounds in 7 months on induction the whole time without excersize then when I was able to run I started running and going to the gym. So I know its possible.

Thanks GK, Grace, and Luna! GK, my sisters live in Sarasota, so I go up there pretty often. If you are ever in the area, let me know! Grace, best of luck to you. I can't wait to see your site when you get it up.

I did 4 miles on the elliptical last night at the gym. Then I came home and ate some pecans, grape tomatoes, and a TON of cheese. I should not have done that, but at least I exercised. Today I can't go to the gym, but I'm trying to be really good about my food. I've had 2 burgers with cheddar today, coffee w/ 1/2&1/2, and water. I'll probably have chicken with spinach for dinner. I'm having kind of a blah, bummer of a day. My parents' dog got out and killed one of a pair of goslings they had, and we're all really sad. My kids thought of the goslings as pets. I haven't told them. Anyway, hopefully I'll be out of this funk tomorrow. I hope everyone else is having a good weekend!

Mind if I join?

I started for good on June 30. So far I've stuck to the plan with no cheating. I have a long way to go, but I've already lost 18 pounds since June 30 (water weight).

I'd definitely like to be a slimmer mom by Christmas. Anything is better than where I am right now.

Here is a thread I posted in 2004

What happens when food is your ONLY comfort?

I am under ALOT of stress right now. The kind that breaks people. So I am back trying to work my way through this "issue". I know some people see it as a "mom" thing or even a "every fat person on earth" thing.

But I spent my childhood and teen years very skinny and with hollow legs. I remember eating (even sneak eating) food then.

I am not talking uncontrolled binges with every twinkie in site. Heck under stress I can eat too much lettuce.

Anyone else?

Hi all..
I am back.. but briefly.. was house/dog sitting this week for my sister and couldn't get her lap top to work.. I'm home but now getting ready for vacation next week.. have not been as good as I should've been.. but i'm pretty proud of myself for not throwing in the towel completely. The scale shows a couple pounds gained, but I know it'll come off easily.
Early tomorrow we're departing for a week to visit my parents in Southern Utah. Have my pepperoni, cheese cubes, veggies and tuna salad ready for the ice chest for the drive! My mother is low carbing as well, so it should be a good week! I will be signing on from time to time.. only thing is my parents are still on dial up...haha! not sure how much patience I'll have with that!

nice to see some newbies..

I hope everyone is having a great weekend..

Luna... I used to eat all the wrong things to deal with stress. All the items I'd choose were sugar or carb filled, then I'd be hungry shortly afterward. It was a never ending cycle. I've only been LC'ing for almost 2 weeks, but every day is a struggle for me. I'm hoping that changes over time. If it doesn't, then I guess I'll have to deal with it.

VGrace.. I'm hoping my after pic looks like your before.

Christy... Have fun on your vacation!

Lori.. Your dinner looks so good! I didn't know there was an induction food porn thread. I'll have to check it out.

I have absolutely nothing planned for today. I think I'll clean or something.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

I am also a stress eater... not necessarily quantity, more about what I chose to eat. Healthy versus pizza and pizza has won hands down over the last few years when I am tired, stressed and feeling crappy anyway. I am trying to find other outlets to deal with the stress right now, i.e. excercise so I don't get off track. It is tough.

Speaking of, I had such a craving for pizza last night. The good news is I didn't have pizza, the bad news is I had some Dreamfields pasta with some homemade marinara that I keep frozen in small containers in the freezer. It is a higher carb count than ideal for the night, but I learned years ago when I lost the 150 lbs that I have to address the craving with something close when it is that bad or it will just go on and end up being a bigger cheat. I will say... it was fantastic, satisfied the craving and I am good to stay totally on plan today.

Brave with the pictures! I know I should do the same.

I have a question for everyone.... since there are now quite a few people on this thread, what if we all state what our goals (size, lbs, whatever you are working towards) are from today until Christmas per the title of the thread so we have a reference point?

My goal is actually to December 31st because I want motivation not to go off plan on Christmas when there is fabulous food everywhere.

My goal is to lose 65 lbs from where I am today which would put me at 210.

Lori-Yup I am 5'5.

Luna-Its very true we are all our worst critics.

Sharon and Heidi- You both are very sweet,I can't wait to see all our transformations by xmas!

gk-I found an amazing recipe for LC pizza..You melt some mozzarella cheese in a pan in the oven then after its baked you put your toppings on then stick it back in the oven. Its SOO good!

My goal for Xmas is hopefully to be down 30-40lbs. And to get toned. I just need to get my butt to exercising more.

VGrace... I'll have to try your LC pizza. I miss pizza. I swear I could eat it every day and never get tired of it. Now I don't eat it. I am tempted to try Dreamfields pasta, but I'm afraid that I'll want that all the time. Pizza, pasta, bread and sugar got me where I am today.

I'm hoping to be down to 190 by Christmas. That's about 40 pounds or so for me. I'd just be happy to be in onederland though. I'm sure going to try.

Hello everyone! I don't stop in here too often but I do read everything before I post.

I can't seem to get under this damn weight. Well, last week was BAD for cravings and having nibbles of this an that. Ugh. I am going to crank up the cardio I think. I have the 30 Day Shred I want to try in addition to my gym time. I'm of the mindset that you cannot do too much cardio...I mean, look at the players on the The Biggest Loser!!!

Hmmmm, Christmas goal. Size 8. In my dreams.

It would be so wonderful to be in onederland but is that setting my goals too high? I'm not currently weighing until August 1st but should still be near my avatar weight of 288 or so. That's like 20# a month. How 'bout I shoot for as close to 199 as is humanly possible?????? What do y'all think? Keep in mind that due to a spinal disability, I do not get to 'walk' around much. I'd love to get a pool membership but I really hate anybody seeing me in a suit.

Hi all, Thanks so much for your prayers and encouragement!!! Today was a better day but I was naughty and ate two gluten free brownies.

I did lose 2 lbs last week, which I am thrilled with. That makes 7 gone so far since I re-started. My goal is to be at my goal weight of 133 by my birthday 11/17 (giving me a total of 100 lbs lost). That means I have 38 lbs to go in the next 4 months. Can it be done?

I posted when this thread first began, but I didn't return! Sorry! I'm back now, and really, really ready to join you all. I'm in the middle of trying to catch up on the thread.

My plan is low-carb with lots of veggies and a little low-glycemic fruit. I'm still nursing my 4 month old, and I found out the hard way that induction was not good for us (at least last month it wasn't!). Perhaps when she is a little older I'll shoot for a lower carb plan to make the weight come off faster.

I have 25 pounds to go to get back to pre-pregnancy weight and my size 10 (some 8s). I would LOVE to be there by Christmas. This is my 4th baby in 5 years, so I haven't seen that size in a while!

Excited to join you all!

Ok, well my goal is to loose 40lbs by christmas. I have a really hard time getting myself to excersize thats my biggest challange. If anyone wants ideas on what to eat on induction go to the food porn site under induction right on the bulletin page up top under atkins.
Here is my supper tonight. The chicken i coated in 2 eggs with all the seasoning mixed in then fried in penut oil, and steamed squash. Yumm. Thats my mom in the picture. She does low cal but wishes she could do low carb but cant because of colesterol problems.

Hi Ladies! It's great to see some of your before pics. I haven't had a chance to take any yet. I still haven't weighed myself (because my stupid scale died), but I am wearing a pair of jeans today that I couldn't wear before. I gained 15-20 pounds over the past year (stress eater here as well), and these jeans were my "comfy jeans" last year. They are definitely more snug than they were, but it's progress. I haven't been to the gym this weekend because my 3 year old is sick. I'm hoping she will be better tomorrow and I can talk my mom into watching the kids so I can just get 30 minutes of exercise in! My fear is losing momentum.

My food has been pretty good, although I've been eating too much cheese and sometimes nuts, both of which are trigger foods for me. I made the mistake of buying a huge package of sliced jalapeno muenster/chipotle jack Finlandia cheese at Costco, and DH and I managed to finish off the package since Friday! At least it's gone now.

Today I've had 3 eggs with 2 slices of cheese, one Fage yogurt, and 4 chicken tenderloin strips drowning in buffalo sauce with bleu cheese dressing and 2 stalks of celery.

Gk, my goal for Christmas is to lose 40 pounds. Then I will want to lose another 10-15, ideally.

Lori-Wings sound so awesome right now. but I won't make any since its 1am here..lol..I am a bit of a night owl.

Beth-Thats great on the loss!woohoo!

lemonmama- I tried doing low carb when I was breastfeeding my last baby and my milk supply quickly started vanishing so I stopped and went to a higher carb intake.

Heidi and Sharon-I think your goals are totally doable! I bet we will all be at goal or very close to it!

Adrielle-Thats one of my fears too but not with exercise haha, this time on Atkins its seems like I have been doing this my entire life..I dont want to lose that.

Sorry if I missed anyone! Night ladies!
