Good morning all! Wow Steph you are doing great! Keep up the great work. By the way I have been meaning to comment on your slogan about dieting makes you look good with your clothes on...etc. I LOVE that! That has to be the best line ever!
Weighed again this morning (I really need to stop weighing everyday) only down .5lbs. I am going to try and not weigh in again until Monday and see. My goal for this week was 2lbs. We'll see, not looking real promissing.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi ladies!! Hope everyone is doing well

I decided to weigh in the middle of week and am down 2lbs,that shocked me. But am pretty happy. So close the 150s...never to see the 160s again!

Lopez-Congrats on your loss, just eat clean and drink your water you will see that weight loss!

Congrats VGrace, that is very exciting!

Way to go Steph... those inches make such a huge difference in how things fit. Very fun.

I have been stuck at the same weight for a week. Very frustrating since I have been careful to stay under my carb/calorie levels. Losing the weight the second time around is clearly going to be a more difficult challenge (not that it was easy the first time). It is what it is, so I will just have to find a way to increase my workouts to help compensate. I just bought Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones... anyone have it?

Luna, you had asked what specifically I wasn't doing because of the weight. The biggest one is what others mentioned... pictures. I realized recently the last picture I have of myself and my daughter is from shortly after I had her. I felt huge and gross at that point and that was 35 pounds ago. Now I look at the picture and think if I had only started at that point instead of now but you can't go back so now it is.

Here it is...

She was 6 months old and she is 3 now. So ridiculous of me.

Happy Friday everyone!

Good Morning and Happy Friday to all!!

In need of your guys' opinion.. So today is day 5 of induction (I know still early) but.. I do not FEEL as if I am losing.. It may sound silly but I guess I have just expected the fat to start melting off like the first time. I have heard it is always harder the 2nd time around, but I was hoping I was the exception So just wandering what has been your guys' experience in this situation.. I have yet to weigh.. I am planning to wait until Mon or Tues of next week and hopefully the scale goddess is good to me!

thanks for any thoughts.. appreciate any and all..

Actually you are VERY pretty! Look at those eyes!!!

Get your booty out today and take a pic with her. Keep it for later, but just do it. You dont have to show it.... just do it for you. Dont let it have power over you anymore... dont let it eat you up inside anymore!

I am way past the 2nd time around. And I never experianced the fast melting that some do. That is the key... only a few just melt off fast.

You may have to get more serious... lower carbs, no fake foods, no pop/coffee, more exercise, etc...

You are within 25 pounds of your goal weight? You may be too close to goal to see that huge melt-off.

Hi ladies! I've been having a really stressful week and am having a hard time recovering from my vacation. I weighed myself this morning and managed to gain 4 pounds back. I have gone to the gym only once this week (hopefully will go again tonight). I've been good with my food yesterday and today, but earlier in the week, I was totally off plan. I am under so much stress right now, I have a constant headache. Anyway...I'm including a picture of my girls and me from our trip. It is rare that anyone takes my picture because I'm a photographer and usually the one with the camera, so this is pretty much it from the entire trip. I handed my camera to my sister and made her take this. Not a great picture (I don't know why I was sitting like that with my butt sticking out), but at least it's some record that we were there.

Mushroom top, LOL! I think muffin top is very appropriate. After all, what kinds of things did I eat to create such a monster?

Hi girls so long!!!!

Luna congrats on the pic! I couldn't, do it i really look bad... The guacamole sounds amazing girl!
Marlee welcome, you can do it!!!
Portia, what is VLC?
Heidi congrats, that's amazing, crime pays...
VGrace, congrats on the new baby!!! It's so touching, but no more babies for me.../ loved when you wrote "never to see the 160s again!" jajajaj
lopez8365, when i began in my 2nd day of induction I ordered a diet sprite and they gave me regular... the problem is that i was so thirsty that i didn't notice until was almost finished, my lesson learned "anywhere, with anyone I make sure is diet my self!"/ I used to weight everyday and i was literally going nuts the scale would go up and down like crazy no matter what i ate...
Katrin Congrats on quiting smoking! And if you did it you'll lose wieght too girl!
fireflyfaster congrats on the extra weight loss, those are extra great!!!
Brandi76, congrats on those 10 pounds, if you did that lets see how it goes til december OMG!
mama_steph congrats on the 15.75 inches! i haven't measured but i'm sure is a great incentive! WOW!
gk3733 is better to "stay" in the weight than gaining, you'll see next week your results, sometimes the body does that, i really don't know why, i read somthing i'll let you know
sourpeach no need to feel alone this is my 2nd time and is slower too, i've heard the same thing from other people, keep up the good work!!! loved the mushroom top!!! jajaj
Butterflymama, IT'S A GREAT PIC, you look great!,(compared to me...) I've heard that if for some reason you go out of plan the important thing is to get back on the next meal! You go girl!!!!
KSS, welcome home!, we are learning from each other so much!

About me, my constipation problem has been solved(thanks to you guys! and magnesium) surprisingly i lost 8 pounds this week eating what i told you, the good thing is i don't have to worry about what to eat i'll just eat that everyday until i get veeeery bored...

Congrats to everyone onthe weight and inch los!!! You rock and we can make it!!!

Thank you, Luna and goalachiever! Welcome, KSS, and congratulations on your amazing progress so far!

I am down 1.5 pounds today, but I am still up 2.5 pounds from my trip. I did 4 miles on the elliptical last night and it felt good. My eating yesterday wasn't great. Not off plan, but I overdid it on the cheese and just felt hungry all day, especially after working out. I'm going to try to be more careful with what I eat today.

I am able to gain weight incredibly fast, but to lose, I have to really limit my calories & carbs/up the exercise, and it's a slow loss. It hasn't always been this way for me. I used to lose weight just by cutting carbs and increasing activity...I didn't have to severely restrict my food. Now I'm older (32), and I have the Mirena IUD, which I swear has affected me. I was 20 pounds lighter when I got it 1 1/2 years ago. My sister got one and experienced the same thing. She is getting hers removed, but that's not an option for me right now, unfortunately, so I will just keep on keeping on and work hard to lose this weight!

Welcome to the challange!!

Thanks for the all the congrats on the inches everyone!!! And Rhonda, I'm glad you love it!! Put it in your siggy if ya want!!! That keeps me so motivated to workout. LOL!!

This a.m. I am down to 190.6 I can't WAIT to be out of the 190's forever. ugh! TOM is due anyday now so we shall see.

Lastnight I was ravenous, no wonder I got myself to 198 pounds! ahaha I wanted to eat the house. Literally. But I sucked it up, had some SF jello, that didn't cut it so I had a cup of coffee, but I didn't finish it, and I was half tempted to go and get some carb smart icecream but I didn't. Man was it hard!!!! I just laid my miserable self on the couch, watched "More to Love" (the new bachelor style show but with big girls, lol!) Andddd it totally made me NOT want to eat that ice cream even more. Oh man I'm terrible for saying that! ahaha But it's true. Granted they lie about their weights but I don't want to look like that. I think it's beautiful to be comfortable in your own skin but I don't think it's a good thing to be unhealthy. So anyhow, I just fell asleep. So One night of manyyyyy PMS nights down...and I know if I could survive lastnight, this is in the bag! LOL Man you guys must think I'm a monster ***** for saying that!!! LOL

So total brag, but I am one of those very thrifty, coupon cutting, yard sailing mama's. haha Seriously, you can find amazing things, you just have to look. And I've been to my fair share of junky yardsails but today I hit the motherload!!! I got a barbie vanity and stool for DD for $3, a HUGE Barbie karaoke machine for $3, an antique child's rocking chair for $5 and a corvette two seater power wheels for $40!!!!! I got a bunch of other things too but I just couldn't believe those things! lol Okay, brag over. LOL!!!

I am going to start cutting grass. We have a LOT to get done today. Hey maybe I'll sweat my way to 189. LMAO!!

Have a great day ladies, I am so proud of you all and so glad I am part of this incredible challenge

Ok so I have been sticking to plan, but with hubby hurt, numerous Drs appointments and hubby having surgery yesterday, I have been eating quick foods. For example for the last week or so each day I have had a lo-carb quesadilla, it is just so easy when everything is so hectic. I have never actually eaten anything off plan, but I feel guilty.

Typically, I cook every dinner, make big breakfasts and eat small lunches. I love to do casseroles, taco salads, enchilada salads, carne asada plates, steaks and fresh veggies, garlic butter shrimp and broccoli, etc. for dinners. Breakfast is usually eggs, bacon, sausage, sometimes omlettes. But lately I just don't have time to do my usual cooking.

Adrielle- I agree I think that is a wonderful picture of you and your girls.

Gk- You are so very pretty. I wish I could take a picture that good. I don't have the workout dvd, but I read on the main board a few months ago that people were not real pleased with it. Hope it works out (no pun intended) for you.

Sourpeach-You can do it!

goalachiever- We can make it! VLC - very low carb

KSS-Welcome!

Steph- Inches gone! What a great deal on those toys.

Good Morning Ladies,

First, thanks to everyone who said such kind things about the picture I posted, I do appreciate it. One of the things that I like about being on this board is I feel accountable for the things I post. Showing you all the last picture I can remember taking with my daughter that is also 2+ years old is a good way for me to remind myself enough is enough.

Steph, you are the official inches rockstar. I measured yesterday and I am down 9 inches and I actually thought, darn it... Steph is kicking my ass.

Adrielle, I love your picture. Your girls are very pretty and look so much like you!

Welcome KSS and congrats on your great loss thus far!

Speaking of "muffin top"... I say that my end goal is the 150's but the entire reason that number is the goal is because that is the weight, when I am also in shape, that I don't have the muffin top going on anymore. How do we all come up with a certain area of our bodies that we focus on?

Hmm... and with that thought, I am going to get the little one and I dressed and go out for a bike ride.

Have a great Sunday!

We also have 2 dogs.
I restarted Atkins on January 5th 2009 and have lost 67 pounds so far. I still want to lose 50-60 more pounds. I would love to lose at least 25 pounds by Christmas.

Morning ladies!

I have nothing valuable to say. These last 1-2 weeks have been horrible from stress and my body is not happy, and I triggered a bad fibro flare up, and I feel like the walking dead. Nice run on sentence there... came back and at least added a few commas.

Now that I have done an awesome job of being a ray of sunshine, I will leave you to your goo deeds.

Aw, Luna, I'm sorry to hear you've been so stressed! I hope things calm down and you feel better soon.

GK, I don't know how I missed your picture before, but you and your daughter are gorgeous!

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments about my pic. I can't wait to have pictures with both of my girls when I'm at my goal weight!

I've been having a hard time getting back on track with my food since I've been back from vacation. I have been hungry a lot, and I'll be doing great and then sabotage myself, like today all I had eaten was an egg and 2 slices of cheese, then I went and ate 2 handfuls of pecans. Now I'm mad at myself because I know I don't lose weight when I eat nuts or much cheese, but I was so hungry, and I HATE having to cook every time I need to eat. Then I went grocery shopping and my Super Target quit carrying Fage Greek yogurt AND plain WHOLE milk Stonyfield yogurt, both of which really seem to help keep me on track and drop pounds. Now I'll have to go searching for them. Grumble, grumble.

IDK about WHOLE milk yogurt, but our Wal*Mart Supercenter carries the Stonyfield Farm brand. You might try there. GL!

Thanks, SecondTimeAround! My Wal-Mart carries the Stonyfield Farm brand, but only lowfat vanilla in the large container. Target has the plain, but it's lowfat, and I like the whole milk yogurt with the cream top. Ok, I buy it to eat the cream top and then feed the rest to my kids, lol. I did find my beloved Fage at Publix tonight, so I stocked up. I get so irritated that I have to shop at like 4 different places to get all my groceries.

I'm going to have some chicken drumsticks and/or thighs in a little while when they finish baking. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow and hope that the rest of my 4 pound "vacation gain" is gone, but I'm not holding my breath. Will try to get to the gym tomorrow at some point.

I hope everyone had a great day!

well, finally time to check in, I doubt I will loose anything tomorrow on the scale, it that T.O.M. I have felt really depressed this week, fighting with the dh and trying to find a home for my daughters cat and some friends took him but their cats went crazy and my friend was actually holding stich.. by the way he is 23 pounds with claws their cats don't have claws but he went crazy cause they were all wanting to fight with him, so he felt defensive. But she brought him in the room with her cats and he clawed her face up. well needless to say they sent him back to me. Du.. you don't hold a cat while they are all getting use to eachother. Anyways enough venting, plus my sister and step mom got into it at my step moms sons birthday, I was kinda glad my baby was fussy so i had an excuse to leave. But if they try that at my daughters birthday party they will be kicked out of my house! Ahhhh, can you tell im frusterated.. so ya there will be no movement on the scale tomorrow for sure. Well I decided to take an updated picture of me and my little baby cole. So there it it over there<

I hope everyone is having a better time, I know my problems seem minute so some others but I still need to get it off my chest once in a while, thanks for readin me gabb..

A dessert

Girls i got this dessert, please tell me what do you think. It's:
24 almonds(3g net carbs)
1 tablespoon of butter
2 splendas(2g carb)

1. You put the almonds, the butter and 1 splenda on low heat for 10 mins.
2. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 20 mins.
3. Take it out of the fridge and spread the other splenda. and Taste it!

Hope you like it!
