I finally just let go and let peeps take pics of me. I can love or hate them......... but I KNOW I will hate it more in 20 years if I have none.



When I am old I will not give a rats a$$ what I looked like... I will be all "Look how young I was back then".




Tomorrows challenge:
Let someone take a picture of you with your kids and you HAVE to smile. You dont have to show it to people or hang it up... bit you have to take it. Own it. And forgive yourself.

Hi,

I'm starting over and know from the past that a small support group has made the difference in my success.

I have four kids - 11, 9, 4 and 3. Have low-carbed on and off since the 9-year-old was born - almost 10 years. Am done having babies and it's time to focus on me.

Christmas time is a good goal, and I have a mini-goal as well - my birthday in November.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better and sharing this journey with you.

goalachiever- I will say the same as Luna and suggest a good multi-vit. I know a few women that are basically zero carb and seem to do just fine.

Thanks for the feedback, Luna and everyone else who posted. I think I will make my goal 30 Days Cheat Free, meaning sticking to whatever level of Atkins I am "at". I am doing 2 weeks of clean induction and not sure if I will move to OWL after that or not. At most, I will add more veggies.

Goalachiever: I think the menu looks good, but are you doing VLC? Because there are no vegetables. I find the fiber from the veggies helps me on induction, in many ways...

I have to run but will catch up more on the thread later.

sorry yall for not checkin in on weight day at least. As of monday im down 1 pound, I did ok on my mini vac. But not as well as planned, I didn't cheat but even ordering cheesy chicken and veggies at TGI Fridays you never know what they put in it. Im really lackin on readin up in here my baby is taking more time now that he is bigger, so I may just make it in on mondays.

I'm just checking in. After my diabetes scare, I sort of stayed away from posting.

Anyway, yesterday was 4 weeks since I started. I haven't strayed off the plan at all, and I am down 25 pounds total to show for it.

I'll post again later after I get done reading all the many posts I'm behind on.

I hope you are all doing well!!

Awesome weight loss!! I am interested to know what you think has really helped you. Like - snacking more, snacking less.... drinking more water, eating more veggies????

Hi everyone. Just wanted to take a second and let you know that I had something new for lunch. Jimmy Johns has what they call an "unwich" It is all the meat and cheese and veges of a normal sub but in a big lettuce leaf. It was absolutely delish! On a not so pleasant note, I had it delivered and ordered a diet coke and I cannot tell you how many times I have thrown away a pop because it doesn't taste like diet! I know each pop machine is a little different but I am so afraid to drink it if it's not, I error on the side of caution and throw it away. I usually can tell but if its not quite right or questionable forget it, I would rather waste the $2 than to see a 4lb weight gain because I thought I was drinking diet! Anyone else have that problem??

Hey guys, i am rejumping in to this challenge a month late, I had to get something else taken care of in the month of July, quitting smoking after many many years of smoking over a pack a day, and I did it!

I have no idea how, other then pure strength from God, doing it cold turkey, a good solid week of depression from letting it go as if it was my only joy, and then the pure joy of being finally free from the chains of it. And i can breath! I am 33 years old, but felt so much older, i could hardly walk up a hill, it was so sad, but I can really breath now.

Now that it is behind me, i am ready to start toward my goal of weighing 140 lbs. Actually, i think weight loss might be a breeze after quitting smoking, but maybe i am fooling myself. Surprisingly, i didnt really gain any weight this last month.

Can I join you guys? My name is Brandi and I have four wonderful kids that are 14,9,7, and 2. I started eating low carb on 7-22 and weighed 183 on that day and today I got a shock when I found out that I have lost 10.4 lbs in the first week yippeee I am so motivated to continue now!

Hayyy ladies!!!

Sorry I have been MIA, I've just been busy. My weight loss is slowwwww as a snail. Today I am down to 191.8 Man I cant wait to be out the damn 190's for good! LOL Tuesday was 2 weeks for me and I lost 15.75 inches total so far. Can't beat it!
