I am aiming for December 25th to go for the "Not a fat mom" by Xmas time!

Or at least wear something really nice on Xmas (or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate).

I think it would be fun to know how old everyone's kiddos are. It'd be another good way to make connections with each other.

My son will be 15 months old on the 25th of this month. He just learned how to give kisses and has been doing that all morning.

I think that is a great idea. My son is 15 and my daughter is 11. Never lost the baby fat from her.

That is SO sweet secondtime!!!! Gotta love when they are that age

My son turned 4 the end of March and my daughter turned 2 the middle of January. We plan of having more but my health is my top priority right now and once I get to goal, THEN we will discuss more babies

Speaking of the 3 year old... I take her to the sitter's in the morning and pick her up when I am done with work. I am trying to take the bike with the bike trailer to pick her up when I can which I did again today. From my house to the sitter's house and back is over two miles, a good part of which is uphill and I am pulling the bike trailer with our little 15 lb dog to pick her up and then my 37 lb daughter, the 15 lb dog and the trailer home. None of those things individually are really that substantial of a workout but all together I am hot and sweaty by the time I pull back in my driveway. I swear pulling that trailer must be twice the work of just riding my bike alone. I just got home from this and all I want is to sit by the fan for a little while. :-)

It is very rainy out. I hope it clears up so I can get in a walk. I don't want to walk on the treadmill! That is the worst excercise that I can even think about doing right now. It is sooooo boring. Even if I watch TV while I am doing it, I would rather do just about anything else!

I decided to get on the scale again today. I know there is alot of debate about whether you should weigh daily or not. I personally need to do it to keep myself in check. I don't count it as an official weigh in until Mondays.
Regardless I am down 1 more pound, I hope that is a good sign for the week!

Hope everyone has a great evening!

Ok I am going to weigh in twice I think.

October 1st (halfway through) and on Xmas morning.

My scale is broken anyway and I don't want to "obsess" on what I weigh. I just want to "feel" the results. This is a new theory for me to try!

Today is day 8 and I feel fabuloussss. I stayed up late last night baking some sausage egg and cheese 'muffins' and cheese cake muffins. I didn't know if but DANG IT my shredded cheese had potato and corn starch!!! UGH!! The ONE label I dont check b/c 'who could add something carby to cheese right?" WRONG Steph! haha So lesson learned. I have been eating that carbage since day one on Atkins so we shall see if it helps any.

Second time, I seriouslyyyy just ate anything and everything and I noticed I was SO bloated, it was nasty. LOL Glad that's over with! lol

Good Morning Ladies!

10 inches is fantastic Steph! It is so annoying when you think you are having something "good" only to find out with best intentions you were eating something unnecessarily laced with carbs, right? How did the sausage/egg/cheese muffins turn out? Are you going to freeze them and pull one out when needed? I was thinking about doing that.

Luna, I can't fathom only weighing twice before the end of the year. You have some serious will power.

Rhonda, I totally agree on the treadmill. I get so bored. I had a trainer a few years ago who knew I was not very efficient on it after about 20 minutes and he decided to give me a circuit instead. I would do 15 min treadmill (5 min warmup, 10 min workout) and then off and onto either the stepper or the elyptical for 15 min hard workout and then onto the bike 15 min (10 min workout, 5 min cool down). Clearly, I was at the gym and I wouldn't lose much pace just moving 20 feet to the next machine but it was heaven for me after struggling to focus on the treadmill for 45 minutes at a time. It made the time fly for me in those short bursts. Maybe you could create your own circuit plan at home with some other cardio?

I found an old Tae Bo dvd last night that I will give a go again tonight. I really like it and at one point I could do the advanced dvd relatively easily. Maybe again someday soon :-)

Yea, I was POed when I saw that. LOL For the same price, I could get a block of cheese and be paying for a full 8oz of cheese, not fillers and crap! lol
The muffins came out delicious. I made a dozen and put them in the fridge. They'll be gone in 3-4 days if that. LOL

That is SUCH a great idea to circuit train on the big machines! I never thought of that!!! I LOATE being on the elliptical for 45 minutes but I know I could totally break it up! Thanks for sharing that great idea!

Awesome job ladies! Keep up the good work!!!!

We will see if I have awesome willpower.

Tae bo was designed to show you just how little balance you ACTUALLY have... keeps you from getting "big headed".

Can I join, I won't be thin by January 1st but that is my cut off date to be under 200lbs. If not I will sign up for the WLS (which I don't want to do).

Thanks

I am down two -- to 197! I can breathe easier now that I'm not likely to leap up above 200 again (knock wood).

If I don't weigh in at least every couple of weeks, I tend to get overly optimistic about the weight I've lost. I keep a tally of my expectations in my head and usually have a big blow on weigh-in day (the exception being right after induction.)

Lopez and gk -- I'm kind of the opposite re: treadmills. I have eight fused vertebrae in my spine, and I have to watch out for high-impact surfaces. Also, by staying on the treadmill I can closely monitor my gait, which is lopsided due to my back issues. Last weekend my husband dug the treadmill out of the piles of stuff in the garage where it has been since we moved here last year. Yay.

Lopez -- I know! I can't believe my little girl will be three and a half next month! Originally we had intended to have another but probably won't now. So I just savor every minute of little-girlness with her, and I still snort her head just like she was still a little peachfuzz baby.
