Oh! Well I also add an egg, about a half cup of water, and if the berries aren't that sweet, I throw a little Splenda in there too. The key is to use plenty of ice and water and blend so that the shake feels light and slushy.

Weigh in!

HAPPY MONDAY!
Well today is weigh day for me. I was hoping for 3lbs but.....it was only 1lb. A little disapointing but at least it was something and it was in the right direction!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Monday morning ladies!

I still feel cruddy and had less than two hours of sleep last night. My 3yo had a fever all night too.

I just ate some bell pepper strips dipped in feta/sour cream/spices... with a splash of Bragg's RACV.

For those that don't know my hubby (he is Type 2 diabetic) is trying to lose weight by September 1st to "qualify" to deploy to Afghanistan as a civilian contractor. So while our food budget is tight temporarily, I am letting him have most of the meat... hence why I am not losing quite as fast (I am still having some rice type stuff... not every day though). And hence why by September 1st I hope to lose better in September.

So when my weight loss is not fabulous this month... I just wanted you all to know it was not from candy and ice cream binges!

There were alot of special "gourmet" flavors.

Luna- I just can't believe they make that!! I am almost curious enough to try it! They remind me of those weird Jones Sodas that make weird flavors like Turkey Dinner around the holidays

Lori-Yah on your loss! Glad your doing better!

The mushroom chocolate would go nicely with the turkey gravy soda.... or the brussel sprouts soda with the green olive chocolate.

OK ladies. That is just gross.

I saved enough of my carbs/calories and I made myself a special treat for dinner. 1/2 an apple, sliced very thin and very cold with 3 ounces of warm, melted brie. I put a little brie on each slice of apple. Some of you will clearly not share my love for this but it was fan-freaking-tastic for me. I went as far as to get out a bottle of my favorite merlot to have a little glass with it but I decided not to push it. Still, so yum. It is amazing how sweet a little bit of apple tastes when you haven't had sugar in weeks.

VGrace, sorry you couldn't find the coconut milk, they should have it at the grocery store. I was at Trader Joe's yesterday and picked up an Almond Breeze that everyone on LCF mentions. For 8 ounces it is only 2 carbs (1 net). I think I will try that with the smoothie next and compare that to the coconut milk ones I am used to. I also picked up strawberries so I can use those instead of the blueberries. It is a never changing quest to find the right smoothie blend. :-)

Congrats on the weight loss today everyone!

Diana

Morning ladies!

I generally weigh on Fridays and Tuesdays (Friday to keep myself motivated through the weekend and Tuesdays because I can't wait until the next Friday :-) and I am down another 2 since Friday. I am on the front end, so I still losing relatively quick but it is amazing how encouraging that is.

Adrielle, I kept meaning to mention to you from an earlier post where you mentioned Fage at $1.99 that if you have a Trader Joe's near you, they have it at $1.69. (at least in Chicago) I put a little Torani's Sugar Free Orange syrup in mine. Mmm mmm.

I sound like a walking Trader Joe's ad lately. They just really have good stuff, and since they try to carry more whole/organic foods it fits in better when you are watching everything you eat. Sorry VGrace, wish you had one closer!

Welcome Ricci and Goalachiever!

A great big WELCOME to our new people!

Trader Joes is so cool. Our closest is an hour away, but we get there every now and then.

Well, sorry to say, my cash went elsewhere . No pool membership at this time.

I don't know what's going on with me, but I've been having some serious (TMI) vomiting sessions. Out of nowhere. I eat or drink. I puke. No pain anywhere, but honestly; what's up with this? Even in the middle of the night. Nerves? Stress? Old age? I don't have a clue. I'm trying to stay away from the FSC marked smokes because they are making everyone sick. (that's the new, law, fire safe cigs. They have an extra layer of paper and a plastic glue) Am smoking a cig that is not more normal brand. Could that do it/don't know. I know, QUIT! Easier said than done ya know.

Hope all my low carb friends are having better success than I am. I'm not online here much when I am puking. Also, kinda busy with the grandbabies. I love them more than I can explain. God's blessings, indeed.

Hugs to all.

How long has this been going on? Does it happen when you are upright or bending/laying over?

Has this happened before?

Are you PG?

I changed my xmas goal...

I will take either or. And I have no idea what I will need to weight this time to see a size 16. So I figure at minimum onederland and hopefully a size 16.

So I don't set myself up for failure... and so I have something big to shoot for!
