Went to a Chinese buffet tonight. Stayed mostly low carb, but I ate too much. Did get a 2 mile jog and a 2 mile walk to counter the slip.

Congrats Tina!

Who (in addition to Remykins!) is going to actually make their July 4 goal on deadline?

I'm not -- 6.1 pounds in 9 days, when I'm already done with my induction losses? Not gonna happen. So I'm officially extending my personal challenge until July 14, and anyone who wants to stay around with me, please do

Keep on for the (French) Independence Day Challenge!

firefly I went to the gym this am and guess what I'm so happy. I got measured which they didn't do last month because the girl was out sick, lost 3 inches in my waist, 3 1/2 in my stomach and 3 in my hips. My bust is just sagging a little more but stayed about the same. So even though I'm not losing weight I'm so happy about the inches. I'm not making my goal either so I'm staying with you

Misty, that's great! Finally evidence of return on your hard work.

I'm down .7 pounds today, which brings me to 205.

Now we're off to the fair!

Remy -- maybe not! I've found if I had a contained lapse, i.e. one that didn't go on for more than a day or two, and if I was exercising a lot and got right back on plan, sometimes my momentum just kept me going and I didn't pay an awful price. Admittedly, that was eight years ago and my metabolism was higher ... not sure it would work now.

Here's hoping!

I was down NOTHING today. Nada. Zip. TOM plateau is here; sigh.

Thanks, i hop ethat is the case, i hope it is water weight and retained poo in my system.
Got on the scale, and im up to 129.
However i totaled up my calories and they dont come even close to me being able to gain actual fat (after the 3 days my total calories consumption over my bmi was only 2100 as best i can think of, but there were a lot of carbs). I am super bloated and puffy and i havent had a BM yet... not good.
I guess we will see in the next few days, cant say i havent almost come to tears twice today already when i think about it.

Well can you believe the 4th of July is almost here. This challenge went by so fast. I didn't do as good as I was hoping. But I'm going to keeping go at it until I reach my goal no matter how long it takes. Clothes are looser so that a good sign.

Kudos to everyone who has kept showing up! I hope there are a few more who have been off doing the challenge on their own who check in with us on the 4th. My estimate is that I'll be 203, 3-4 pounds over goal.

I am motivationally challenged on all fronts yesterday and today. I don't get it. Must kick my own butt, I guess. At least I'm eating okay.

firefly I also would love to hear from some of the people that started this challenge. I hope they all did good. For me I didn't make it but I'm hoping to drop 5lbs by the end of July. Maybe someone will start a Labor Day challenge because I think for myself anyway that summer is so hard because of all the picnics and graduations partys and such. I enjoy all the support I get and it helps keep me on track.

Down to 204 today.

And the reason I wasn't up for exercising yesterday? Turns out I was fighting off a head cold, and lost.

Guys, 202! And barely that! I was NOT expecting a whoosh, as I have been losing a pound every few days and whooshes, for me, come mostly after stalls.

Hmmmm....any way I can lose 2 pounds by the time I weigh-in tomorrow? I'm going to work out twice today (feeling better from my cold) and once tomorrow just to see. It's a lonnnnng shot -- but maybe there's still some "whoosh" left in me -- and isn't that what challenges are for, to make us push our limits?

Won't be changing what I eat, though -- no fasting. Since I'm not a faster, I would consider that cheating....and it wouldn't match well with my workout plans.

I guess i cant really claim goal... i know i have till tomorrow, but i am right before TOM, so i am bloooaaatteeddd. yuck.

I forgot though, was my goal 125? i think it was. I usually gain around 5-8 lbs before TOM, but i also used to eat carbs (water). So hmmmm, do you think i made goal???????

I am coming in at 127, so after TOM i expect a whoosh, and i better get one dang nabbit! but that is so far away....
!!!! quick.... someone cut off one of my limbs so i can make goal!!!!

(it would be the first goal i have ever met).

HAPPY 4th of July!

Well, the goal was to go from 212.9 to 199.9 (i.e. ONEderland.)

This morning, after three workouts yesterday and today before weigh-in, I was down to 201.1 -- for a loss of 11.8 pounds, or 90% of my goal loss.

I believe that if I hadn't spent four days in the past week sick with a cold, I would have made it. I'm still pretty happy having lost just about 12 pounds this month!

I know Misty's sticking around -- Remy, everyone else, feel free to hang in on this thread until you actually make your goal, even if it's late.

Seven...seven is good! Hooray for seven!

I haven't weighed in since the fourth. I think tomorrow will be a weigh in day.

I worked REALLY hard to get where I did, added in extra workouts and weighed after working out -- and it's quite likely my weight has been stalled or even bounced up again after that point; I didn't want to get depressed. (I also had two drinks on the Fourth, which, while they were not sweet drinks, still tend to slow me down!)

But I'm quite eager to finish off my time in the 200s -- so tomorrow I'll give it a go.
