Food Report
Cindy, I forgot to comment on the carb-filled "food sale" at your house. Wow! That is great that you got all that stuff out of your cabinets.
I can't purge my cabinets because I still fix that stuff for DH. Yesterday: B: coffee with almond breeze L: med. salad with Ranch, 2 HB eggs S: *Chocolate Atkins shake D: 4 chicken wings, broccoli and cauliflower dipped in Ranch * I bought a 4 pack of Atkins shakes last week. I had never tried them, but I've noticed that Teri does sometimes and I thought they might be good to have around during the Holidays in case I really want something sweet or chocolate. It tasted good and filled me up, but I'm not going to use them on a regular basis. Still in ketosis this a.m. ![]() |

YAY Christmas made it to Teri's!!!
I love looking at poinsettias - but won't have them cuz I am SO NOT a plant person. Anything green and growing that comes in my house is doooooommmmmed to die a lingering painful death.....unless it chooses to go quickly....and anything outside is strictly blooming on a volunteer basis and slated to be mowed over at a moments notice. I do not like playing in the dirt..... You guys make me  calling me supermom! I don't think I am, that's for sure! My idea of that is a mom who has an outside job (nope), attends all the PTO stuff (not me), makes gourmet meals from scratch (not gonna happen). and keeps a 'Martha Stewart' perfect home (not a snowballs chance in H***). Martha would die if she ever came over here...probably a lingering, painful death..... BUT...I love my kids and my life, and I live in a home, not a showplace. My kids are free to be kids, with all the noise and mess that entails, in my home, not robots that never do anything wrong. Food yesterday: tea 3 pc sausage 1/2 lb burger 2 chicken drums & 2 thighs Off and going! Gotta take my mom to the vet with her new kitty today. Love ya! ![]()

Hello everyone.....I've been missing in action for so long that it will take me all night to catch up on what everyone has been doing! I'm sorry that I've been away so long, much happening and UNFORTUNATELY I let myself fall off track and gained back 8lbs after my daughters wedding but I'm now back on track....however, I know now that I can't do this on my own and with out all your support! I miss you guys so much and I miss the support and the tips and the help and knowing what and how everyone else is doing.
Hope you guys will take me back??

Gosh it's great to be back with you guys!!!!! I had to pop in before I went to bed tonight and try to do some more catching up. I had to stop after work to pick up some of my "lowcarb" supplies and was walking through the store feeling so good about having contacted all of you and getting back on track toward my goal again that I never even once felt compelled to think of buying anything bad ...... and WOW did that feel good!! I'm so blessed to have all of you, can't wait to catch up in chat some night. ![]() |

So, APPARENTLY I missed the party last night!
![]() I had stopped by, saw Beth's post (YAY) and replied, and checked chat - but didn't stay long enough to see that anyone came in. Ended up going to bed....and missing you guys Did chat with Teri a few minutes this am - so I'm feeling better- a little - miss you guys! I actually have a day off again today - my morning group is not meeting and my afternoon class is canceled - we are all too busy - big surprise there, right? But I do have an appt to go donate blood this afternoon, so I will be getting out of the house and not just sitting on my bottom in front of the 'puter. LOL So I'm gonna go now and do the dishes, and see if I can get over to the Red Cross early as DD has an appt at 5 and the RC sometimes takes a while to get done with, and maybe get in a little shopping. Later - love ya! ![]() |

We missed you!
It was spur of the moment. I was online and Teri PM'd me to go to chat and then Beth just appeared! Don't worry, though, we talked about you and it was all good! I'm glad you have a day off! I made cookies yesterday afternoon and didn't taste test at all! Cookies are all packaged and ready to deliver except for 6 cookies that I kept for DH. Yesterday's meals: B: coffee with almond breeze L: 6 pieces of bacon and 2 HB eggs D: small salad with Ranch and 1/2 country rib (not hungry which was very strange for me, but I'm sure I'll make up for it today) Have a good day everyone! |

Was so fun to catch up in chat last night, I posted here and then took a chance on seeing if anyone was on before heading to bed and there were Teri and Rene!!
![]() Sorry to have missed you Cindy....looking forward to catching up soon!! ![]() Today was a good day....had today off from work and took the opportunity to get some things done here, cleaned the room and packed up a bunch of clothes for Goodwill, it was time to let go..lol. Then I went and cleaned out our travel trailer and got that organized, also much needed task to accomplish. Ran a bunch of errands, got everything I needed to finish wrapping and packaging things for shipping in time for the Holidays, and had my blood test this morning and while doing all that stayed on track with plan! ![]() ![]() It feels so good to be back on track, got the rest of the WII out of the trailer so now I can get back to running again at night. I'm posting my meals for now because I feel the need for accountability. Morning: coffee w/carmel sf torani Noon: pepperoni and crm cheese Evening: Teriyaki Noodles (Which means spag squash and sf teriyaki sauce) LOL. Evening snack: coffee w/ carmel sf torani I may or may not indulge. |

You sure didn't eat much. What is SF torani? I'm like you I need to post for accountability since I don't use ******, or anything. I thought everyone might be getting tired of me posting meals, but Teri says she likes to see what everyone is eating. It is funny, but there are times when posting meals has kept me on track because I don't want to 'fess up the next day. So gooood to have you back with us! |

WOW, it was wild today at work, you can sure tell that this is the last shopping weekend before Christmas, I don't think I sat down for more than 20 mins to eat my lc chili and guzzle down a water...
![]() I had forgotten the golden rule of making sure to take in enough water when LCing and BOY am I paying for it now!!! So tonight my meal wasn't much but it was loaded with fat and I'm going to drink enough water tonight to float away in hopes that I can get things back under control. Gee Teri you must have been a really good girl..I would be grilling out every night if he'd be that good to me...lol. Like Teri, I hope we don't all loose touch over the holidays, I know I won't make it to chat until the Sunday after Christmas either, but I will make time to stop in here and keep in touch that way. Hope everyone had a great LC Day!!! B- Coffee w/ Torani L - LC Chili D - 2 burger patties with cheese and LOTS O Water Snack.......WATER...WATER....WATER.....WATER ![]() |

Sorry I didn't get back sooner - it was a busy day and then a busy night - like I needed that too!
Thanks Teri for listening last night - it felt good to really unload. So of course I have another crazy GF story tonight......but it more concerns DS.I'm going to try posting my food at night - it's so much all the same that I sometimes have a hard time remembering what to tell you every day! so today: 1: burger 2: pemmican and some muenster cheese 3: more pemmican 4: burger Water as needed! DS7 had a class party today - everything they had was sugar laden - except the cheese that I took in! I refuse to add to the crazy stuff and so I always bring cheese. The whole class was bouncing off the walls by the end - and it was time to go home. I really feel sorry for the bus drivers on a party day. See you all later! ![]() |

Stopped into chat tonight, but guess I missed everyone or no one made it. Well I'm off to bed, I'm worried about DH cause they are driving through that east coast snow storm to get home and won't stop yet....ugghhhh, men!!! But I'm going to try to sleep.
BTW Cindy what is pemmican??? And if you wouldn't mind dear distant cousin would you give me some ideas of foods to do the all protein??? I'm thinking I need to do that at least to get jump started again. Have a great night!!! |

Rene....yes working the bench means i will be doing the testing again.
i will post pics of the house later....it's on the other computer. we wanted to get as much done before the holiday. After the holidays we have two or three weeks to get it all together to move. I don't like waiting to the last minute. we were going to bring things up on the weekends but i think we defeated that thought. It seems funny to think about moving there with a caravan of a uhaul, truck and car carrier with two other cars....!!! the neighbors are in for a shock! talk to you later.

I am stealing a few minutes to check in - man, it never stops this time of year!
DH has the kids out shopping and I have no sympathy for him at all! Except he just called to say he's bringing the two youngest home - they are too much of a distraction..... ![]() Beth - I'm sorry to have missed you in chat! Lucki - I can't wait to see pics of your new place. As busy as I've been, I have stayed on plan - all meat all the time- with a bit of cheese, coffee and HWC thrown in. And Beth - that's the plan - all meat & water, eat as much as I need to satisfy my hunger, and drink what I need to satisfy thirst. I don't count calories, I make sure the meat is as fatty as I want, I have some cheese, or eggs or a little dairy. No artificial sweetener, no breads, pasta, rice, fruits, veggies..... Some folks think it's too restrictive, but I am thriving on it. There are days that I will eat a little, but then there are days I eat quite a lot. Like 1/2 to 3/4 lb burger for breakfast, then some cheese mid afternoon, then a 16 - 18 oz steak for dinner. Occasionally I will have a glass of wine, or some vodka, but not very often. Pemmican is a meat lover's 'fast-food'- it's made from lean meat that has been dried and ground to a powder, then mixed with an equal (more or less) weight of tallow (rendered fat). I use it when I am running around and don't have time/access to cooking. It's portable, extremely nutritious, totally shelf stable (no refrigeration) and I think it's yummy! My family, however, does not! It can be made from what ever meat you prefer and you can add whatever spices you like best. I've gotten to where I just like a bit of salt in mine. But then I've pretty much dropped all spices but salt. What I like best is that not only has my weight dropped steadily, but my painful fingers and knees are no longer are hurting, my blood pressure is much better, my sleep apnea is totally gone, I don't have to think about what I'm gonna eat - if it's "legal" or not. If it's not meat or another protein (cheese, eggs) I don't eat it. I have absolutely NO cravings, I can see/smell other foods and admit they look/smell good, but I don't want to dive into them and eat. I admit - it took a few months (and a couple of slip-ups) to reach that point, but it did happen. And the longer I am zero carb, the easier it gets. Although I still have moments of thinking - "just one bite won't mess me up" and then I hit myself with a cast iron fry pan and get over it! OK - back to my world - see you all later! ![]() |

Lucki: Good to hear from you and that you are getting settled. Will look forward to pics! Beth: Hang in there this week; I really can't imagine how crazy working in a jewelry store must be this time of year! By Sun. afternoon my willpower just melted and I had BIG piece of chocolate pie. ![]() ![]() Back on track yesterday, but I am so pi**ed off at myself. I don't even really like chocolate pie. ![]() yesterday's meals: B: coffee with almond breeze L: medium salad with ranch, 2 HB eggs, cup of Carbmaster yogurt D: baked pork chop, small salad with ranch Have a great day everyone! |

WOO HOO - I have some time to make a post!
The house is cleaner than it was a few days ago - and that's all I ask. I still need to clean off the kitchen counter where everything gets dropped, but that's about all. Still need to get some shopping finished, I hope to do that tonight and tomorrow. And of course, gotta pack the RV at some point here soon! Yesterday's food: 1) bacon (7 pc) and sausage (2 pc) 2) 6 oz roast beef and 8 oz burger Todays food: 1) 2 eggs, bacon (7 pc) and sausage (1 pc) 2) 3/4 lb burger Merry Christmas to all - I wish you a peaceful, loving, wonder-full day! |
