Deb... so great to hear from you again. DON'T stay away for so long ever again... you hear me? I hope you find the plan that works for you soon and you kick butt on it. It would be awesome if dh did it with you too, it always helps not to have to cook two different meals.
RENE! Soooo glad to see you back. I know you'll get right back on plan and kick butt again. Keep us updated.
Cindy.. can't wait to try the pemmican. I bet it's good and you're going to have to teach me how to make it.
Notice I have claimed 239 as my own. Been there 3 times... thought that was good enough. Pigged out on chili tonight... might not see it in the morning.
Ready to start a great LC week... hope you all are too!

YAY Teri!!!!

Now - do it again! onward and downward!

Rene, I know you'll be back on track ASAP.....I won't get the skillets after you just yet......

As for me - if I could edit my stats - you would be seeing *165* in the middle!

So, of course, another busy week here - what else is new?
Did I tell you guys I've been learning to knit? I joined a weekly knitting group a while ago and one of the ladies is teaching me. I'm still pretty slow - but I have 2 scarves in progress and they are looking quite nice.

OK, off and running!

Sorry I missed chat. I was beat last night and went to bed about 9:00 p.m.

Ok, I'm back on track and trying to make up for some of the damage I did last week.

Yesterday's meals:
B: coffee with almond breeze
L: salad with turkey breast tenderloin and Ranch dressing, Carbmaster yogurt
D: grilled chicken breast (with the skin), green beans

Have a good day everyone. We present the coats to the school from the coat drive today. I'm thrilled; we have 80 coats, and lots of gloves, scarves and hats!

We missed you last night Rene!

Have fun with the kids today - I'm glad to have been able to contribute a little!

Food yesterday:
3 sausage patties and an egg
bowl of cracklin's
roast beef
bowl of cracklin's

I rendered a bit of fat yesterday! Now I have more meat drying in the dehydrator. I like to eat the cracklin's after they're done with a bit of salt. I don't eat much, cuz they are still quite fatty - but crispy and yummy! Most of the time I save them for the grand-puppy.

Yesterday morning was very frustrating - I had forgotten my music folder for bells rehearsal. I had to use another folder, and I still depend on the markings in my own - maybe a bit too much! And then my arms were tired after since we haven't had rehearsal for two weeks. Next week will be better - I'm taking my folder with me today and leaving it where it it supposed to be!

See you all later!

Hello girls!
Busy as always Cindy, you are indeed a SUPER MOM! Glad to hear you've been workin out on those bells.
Can't wait to hear details from the coat drive. Did you get to give the coats out? It would be awesome to get to see their little faces, but I imagine they handed them discretely. Wouldn't it be fun to be a fly on the wall?
Sorry I bugged out early Mel... I just don't have much left for chat most of the time. I actually get in bed at a decent hour most of the time.
I remember when I started working at the sign shop we were so busy, and thought if we could just make it through sept. things will slow down. Guess it ain't happenin'. It's great that I pretty much get to work when I want, and love the work we do, but I usually stay until at least 6p.m., and I come home beat. Sometimes even with a headache, lol.

Here's my menu...
b- 2 oz pemmican
l- chicken on a stick and 4 oz cream cheese
d- pork loin w/ cheesy cream sauce I made w/ green beans

Wow, Teri, you are rockin' it girl on your eating!

We presented the coats today and the kids made a big sign thanking everyone. There were a few kids there representing the school, but the coats will be distributed discreetly by teachers who see a need. It would be fun to see their little faces.

I'm exhausted, but just wanted to check in and say hi!

Drive by post ...
Thanks ladies for the compliments on my eating. Would be nice if the scale would reward my good work also. *sigh*
I would SO like to get off on a rant tonight, but I'm not going to. Let me just say that dh and I went to the grocery store tonight and he said " you're killin' me (his wallet) with this lc stuff." I was wanting a small bottle of no sugar catsup... for $2.12. See where this is going? I love these smileys... I could go on and on. Gonna call it a night... talk to you girls tomorrow.

Good Morning,

Well, I'm up early because I need to do some laundry, tidying up and put dinner in the crock pot before I leave for work. I've been doing ok, not great, on my eating. Here's yesterdays meals:

B: coffee with almond breeze
L: med. salad with ranch, hamburger patty
D: hamburger patty, chicken thigh, cauliflower with cheese sauce

I made a pasta/chicken dish for DH and I took 2 big bites of it while cooking! Now, why do I do stuff like that?

Ok, got a few more minutes this am......
Teri - I'm sorry to hear that he's giving you a hard time again...

I JUST FILLED MY HOUSE WITH SMOKE!!!!!! Left a frying pan on the stove cuz I was gonna fry up eggs for the kids breakfast as usual - got distracted with DD's homework, and it got WAY too hot and burned and smoked At least there were no flames......but the house now smells horrible, and it's freezing outside so I can't open the windows for too long at a time. SO NOT how I needed to start the day...... But at least it can only get better from here on!

Food yesterday:
egg with 1 sausage patty
tea
meat soup - left over roast beef and drippings with 2 oz pemmican added
10 oz grilled london broil steak

Everyone have great day!

Hey Ladie, sorry I haven't been on a in a few days. Working some 16 hour shifts at work Ick !

I haven't been perfect or terrible. No dippin in the candy dish at all ( big thing for me since im a stress grazer) but I have had starches a few times.

DH cooked some pork hams ( shoulders) on the grill and made some shredded beef in croak pot so I have had plenty of healthy meat options to take with me to work. I'm already starting to feel better . Taking it one day at a time. It is great having a local butcher for all of our beef and pork needs. We have 2 deep freezers with a whole cow and pig in it so we are good to go for a while.

I'm exhausted today so thank god food is not calling my name this morning LOL It is cold here and a hot bowl of oatmeal wants to call my name but I will eat warm boiled eggs split in half and buttered instead.

I know exactly where your coming from Rene. Temptaion can be a killer, and usually not worth it . Never taste as good as you as you thought it would.

Good morning - maybe - I can hope it will be better now.....

Well another banner start to the day - NOT!!! DD was all ready for school, was outside with everything and in the process of taking the trash bin to the street. Bus stops, waits for *maybe* 15 seconds - then takes off! He could SEE that she was right there! Throw her in the car, drive to the next stop, stomp over to the bus driver and ask him (quite nastily I must admit) if it would have KILLED him to wait another 2 seconds for her to get the bin to the street! Stomp away (all this is in my jammies, robe and slippers, with bed-head, by the way) and drive back home. Didn't really care what all the other drivers thought either!

I swear it has been Monday all week!

Oh Lord, and yesterday wasn't much better - spent most of the day in a Dr's office (9:45 - 1:45) with sis2 - then got her home, fed, and in bed. Finally got me home at 3:30, then after dinner DD decides to have a major pity-party for herself over doing homework. Well, I blew my stack - in a very major way! Slamming doors, cupboards, dishes, etc......DS16 disappeared into his bedroom and just got out of the way. DS7 and DD got their homework done, and I got a lot of chores done- very loudly, but they got done!

I need a vacation.......

At least I didn't jump right into the bowl of cake batter as I was mixing up DS16's birthday cake! Thought about it tho.......but I did fall into a glass (or 3) of vodka last night - after I had started to calm down.

OK - done ranting! Thanks for listening.....

Food yesterday:
3 sausage patties
tea
1 oz pemmican
10 oz ribeye
vodka

Today WILL be better.....

Good Morning!

Stacie, sounds like you are doing great!

One day at a time is the way I have to approach it also. I also recognize that I'm going to have a slip here and there, but I can't let that discourage me. Sometimes there are posts in the MainLobby from people who sound like they never, ever have a slip. They sound like they are absolutely perfect all the time! I would think what is wrong with me that I keep having occassional slips?

It is great that some people are perfect in respect to their diet, but I've come to realize that, hey, that isn't me. It's not realistic for me to think I will NEVER eat foods high in carbs. I have changed my WOE and those foods will never be a regular part of my diet, but I will have slips and as long as I don't let that discouage me and it doesn't lead to me going back to eating unhealthy foods regularly, then I'm not going to sweat it.

Thanks for listening everyone. Sometimes I just need to share it to get my mind around it!

Sorry, getting lazy about posting my food. Here's yesterdays:

B: coffee with almond breeze
L: big salad with turkey and ranch dressing
S: Carbmaster yogurt
D: pork chop, boiled okra

I tried a new recipe in the crock pot this week and we liked it:

butterfly pork chops (gotta great deal at Krogers!)
cream of mushroom soup mixed with 1/2 cup HWC
Sliced onion
potatoes (for DH)

Sprinkle pork chops with dry mustard and garlic powder, sear chops in butter until lightly brown. Slice onion and place in bottom of crock pot, add chops, then potatoes, and cover with mushroom soup.

The mushroom soup has 9 carbs for 1/2 cup, but I only put a couple of tbsps on my chop to moisten it, so I figured that was ok.
