Yeah, I probably will do some shopping - gonna need some major bling for being 50!
Had a very busy day today - keeping kids on track during a big choir festival at a church. We took ten from our kids choir, and there were over 200 kids total 2-12th grades. They found out that our director isn't the dragon they thought she was! Boy, they were worked HARD! And I'm exhausted too. Took a burger for my lunch, and then ended up eating 1/2 a chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese too - I was so hungry by the time we got to stop for lunch. But it didn't have enough chocolate tho.......

Oh Gawd - I hate wearing shorts - I'll either wear my jeans or a sun dress. But I did get a new swimsuit so I need to get myself ready for the pool this year.

![]() ![]() ![]() hey ![]() I was very excited when I got on the scale this morning! I was down FIVE - count em- FIVE pounds!!!! I am very excited about this! It just goes to show me that my body will respond to this woe and it HAS to be a way of life...today is day 3 so I know it will be a bit tougher. I need to make some things for this week so that I dont get frustrated and give in to temptation. That would also make it easier for the girls too...ya know, so their Mom doesnt go crazy on em. p.s. I am exploring the unpublished relationship between low carb and zanax - what do you think? ![]()

Shannon you rock! Thats wonderful news!
And I'm gonna go get some steak now and make some jerky too - always need to have something quick and handy to grab for on the go. DH bought me a new bike today Now I get to ride to the library and the park with the kids. Of course he spent the afternoon fixing up what was wrong with it - brand new and believe it or not there were a few things that needed adjusting! My weight has gone back down to past where it was before it bounced up Friday - ![]() I'm down to 203!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hiya chicas!
![]() just poppin in to see how everyones weekend went. Mine was pretty good nothing major - but I am TOTALLY fine with that. PLUS I survived my first lc weekend. Not too shabby. I totally need to make a lc cheesecake though. I really think that is how everyone around me survived last time ....its such a comfort food for me.How long do you think boiled eggs will keep in the fridge? I thought about doing up a few then maybe deviling some, but I wasnt sure if they would be good all week...anyone? At least that may help with my breakfast challenge I am really having a tough time finding something I like for breakfast. Its usually coffee and a bagle..... I am thinking about doing one slice of lc bread with eggs and maybe a slice of ham.... I figure if its the carbs, at least its in the morning and I can burn them off all day? somebody talk me off this ledge!![]() Wendy Last edited by Wendalina; 05-03-2009 at 07:43 PM.. |

Wendy I know some people keep HB eggs for only a week, but I never had a problem keeping them longer as long as they stay cold. In fact we are still working on the Easter eggs! And they are still good, taste fine, no smell, etc...
I also cook bacon 2 lbs at a time, and keep it in the fridge for breakfast and a quick snack if I need it. I buy burger in bulk, make it into patties and freeze them (slightly) then bag them with freezer paper between, and back into the freezer they go! Then I can grab 1 or 2, throw em in the micro for 5 min. on defrost, then cook em. I do the same thing with big steaks. |

You are sooo right! If you are gonna consume carbs, morning is best. You definitely do not want any carbs at night! (keep them minimal at dinner time)

I have never had hardboiled eggs last for a week...ds eats them before 3 days. I made a dozen hb eggs last night and made deviled eggs with mayo, mustard, and wasabi...OMG they are aresome, these may not last the day!
My problem is major sweet cravings....I think if I get some strawberries or blueberries maybe I can satisfy the craving. Better than dark choc...but still not carb free... I weighed this morning and am at my posted weight so I have lost the 4/5 lbs I had put back on....now to get motivated and lose another 5 or 6.... Small goals work best for me...that and the fact that my class reunion is slowly creeping up on me. It will be bad enough going without a husband/boyfriend/date but to show up FAT too! NO WAY!

![]() As for NS... you may want to tell your SIL to try some of the foods first. The taste of some of them, leaves ALOT to be desired. Also, if she eats all meals at home, then it would be a good plan for her. I have learned that it is not conducive to my lifestyle at this point in time. I tried it because they boast of easy to follow, no planning, no counting, etc. If I am leaving the house in the morning, and will not be home until after 10 pm, there is a MIGHTY LOT of planning I must attempt. Either bring the stuff with me, along with all the add ins and hope I can use a microwave somewhere, or try to follow the plan while eating out. It just doesn't work for my life. ![]() ![]() I am back at my 'fat farm' Dr, as I call her. Weight loss is a trial an error deal for me. Also, I am sure I would lose a TON if I could get rid of all the damned stress! Yah, right... as if! Anyhoo, first weigh in with the Dr is Thursday. ![]() You can click on the weight loss blog link to read more of my blathering! LOL |
