I spent the weekend in a low-rent hotel and windy rainy ball field with kids who ran out of gas in the 6th inning of the Gold Series playoffs...Seriously had a much bigger and better team beat 4-1 in the 6th and suddenly turned into the Bad News Bears...OMG!! Ending up losing 11-6. It was sad

This weekend we are playing in a tournament that probably should have folded due to lack of interest...crappy fields ..... and not enough teams in our bracket...we are playing the first game against a 14 year old team....(our boys are 12 and 13...)...but we get to play for free and are playing our Arch Enemies...from our town...so it's a matter of "HONOR"....LMAO 12 year old boys are soooo emotional...Drama, Drama, Drama....

At least this one is 30 minutes from the house! Probably won't save any money on food and drinks but will be able to go home and do chores after the game...

to both of you - i am so glad that my kids were never interested in sports!

omg,i posted on the main forum about realizing i think the plus size bathing suit models look good and the reg look too skinny.

i got FLAMED!!!!! i wasnt trying to be rude, but boy did i pi** some people off. thats why i usually stay here where its fun and safe!!!!

hey Shannon! I just read your thread - boy you really did start a discussion didn't ya? LOL Seems that most of 'em ended up debating each other more than anything else! BTW, I HATE swimsuit shopping! I refuse to look in the mirror when I try them on - just go by how it fits.

So.....we had a good dinner with the family yesterday, how 'bout you guys?

My 19yo free spirit announced that for his birthday in May he was driving with a buddy to N.Carolina for vacation. He is asking that we all help him with cash b'day gifts so he can take a plane back. THEN he wants to move there to hopefully get a job. He believes the economy is better, since its tanking here in Mich. I'm not quite sure what to think, other than he's considered an adult, and I can't tell him what to do anymore. He's at least being responsible enough that he's coming back to finish his lease, and save money till then. Which is quite a change for him! It makes me sad, but I know that having all my kids stay here just cuz I'd prefer it is unrealistic. I can always hope tho!

As for the bathing suit models... I agree with ya. I sit here thinking there is no way they weigh what I do! Then again in the model world size 14 is supersize! In my world it's normal! Hell 16/18 is normal in my world too!!!

LOL everything! Jack of all trades, master of none is what I have always been told.

My craftiness for years has been with yarn; crochet and knitting! Afghans, tops, socks for my kids, slippers, skirts, hats, mittens, socks for soldiers, lace shawls...the list goes on and on!

Thanks Cindy! I can also cross stitch. Although, I haven't done that in years. I still have all my colored floss organized and spooled, just in case!
I learned to crochet when I was around 10 in girl scouts. My friend Shirley and I would make loooooong chain scarves to play 'crack the whip' when we would go ice skating on the pond in CT! LOL
Taught myself to knit, via a ;teach kids to knit' book when I was 30. I figured if it could teach kids to knit, then it could certainly help ME!

One can never have too many crafts!
