Me too, as I don't have a text package. Mine is pay as you go, and I don't even want to think about how expensive that could get if I started up. Truth be told, I don't even know how to send a text message. I have Yahoo messenger also if anyone is interested.

I may or may not be back on till tomorrow... but I will definitely check on tomorrow to weigh in! Here's to 2009!!!
I've used SweetzFree for years. It's really great. Once my big bag of granular Splenda is all used up (from Costco), I will use SweetzFree in my custard and cream cheese muffins. It will have to be a trial and error thing.

So, I have no December results to post, as I didn't join until late in December.

Start weight, January 1 236

I was doing so well until I got sick last summer and had to go on Prednisone for about two months. That stuff is the devil!

I spoke with my DR and it would be a good idea for me to cut some of my carbs down because some of the meds I am on cause spike in sugar and cause a issue. So I will start to control that before it happens.

I am going to need to be inventive because I am not sure I can meat yet..maybe I can do something with some soft chicken....

I know eggs would be best but I just can NOT do eggs right now...

Okay..so 160 today 150's soon...VERY soon..
I'm making a breakfast casserole you might be able to eat. And you can freeze it, so you could just pull it out and nuke it on a whim.

Here is the recipe: Linda's Low Carb

Yum! I really need to try more of her recipes. DH does like the Shepherd's Pie made Linda's way. My mother, on the other hand, hates anything that doesn't have sugar in it. Having her move in with us has showed me loud and clear how and why I became a sugar addict.

Having plain ole' bacon and eggs for breakfast. Lunch will be crab cocktail, dinner will be steak and green beans.

We live in the dark ages here - no cable, no dish, no satellite. If it isn't on free digital tv, it isn't here So, you all can talk about it and I'll live vicariously through you I really wish they would do one of these shows using real people. Not people sent off to a resort someplace for weeks or months, separated from their families. But a show that spotlights people living their lives and losing anyway - working folks, stay at home moms, soccer moms, moms with a whole covey of kiddos or just one kiddo. You get the idea.

Hi, Keokagal!

Well, this is just a group of like-minded women who are committed to their eating plan and committed to getting the weight off. Personally, I am committed to being cheat free, eating pure Atkins (2002). I've struggled for years with this body of mine and I've "done" Atkins and everything else under the sun. I feel best eating low carb, and when I am brutally honest, I've NEVER done Atkins by the book. So, in the spirit of brutally honesty, I've never done Atkins. I've done some morphed, warped, distorted version of it. Sandykins. Whether or not it has been successful (it hasn't) it still can't be called Atkins if I tweak it outside of the guidelines that Dr. Atkins himself gives me for the tweaking.

Anyway, this is a great group of people here. We tend to be pretty transparent, as in we tend to share whatever it is we are feeling.

Oh, the rules are going to be posted sometime today (maybe have been already - I haven't finished catching up yet). We are competing for a prize at the end of the month - above and beyond to prize of gaining dominance over our battle

aim in Fla, I meant to ask you, do you take anything for your fibromyalgia. I take Lyrica, 100 mg., three times a day. It does help, but I still get breakthrough pain. It's such a unique pain. I feel like it washes over me in waves. If I lie down in bed and feel it, I know I will not get to sleep without Vicodin. I hope my doctor's office will keep on refilling it. One of those things does what 5 Advils won't do.

Food so far today:

Breakfast: 2 oz Rotola (mozzarella and prosciutto roll), coffee

Lunch: Sundried tomato turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich - using two Oopsie rolls for bread.

Let's talk about Oopsies ... if you haven't tried them - O.M.G! If you have been afraid to try them, stop overthinking them. That's what I've done for a good year or so now.

Watch the video that AvenueGirl did showing exactly how to make these. I did my first batch ever and they turned out perfectly. Thanks, AG!

Here is the recipe for Oopsie Rolls, created (or should I say accidently created by!) our very own Cleochatra (my hero ).

I just pulled my Early Rise Breakfast casserole out of the oven! Oh, my! I hope any of it makes it in to the freezer. It might if it cools before my dh gets done chopping wood

LOL Misty last year sounds better!

I'm glad to see so many of us checking it! Yeah!!!

Jill~ tried too add you on yahoo and myspace.

I've been doing a little digging since I volunteered to do the winners prize for the biggest loser in March. How fun!!!

I was watching dh eat chips and garlic dip. The smell of that garlic dip had me drooling. I took turkey and dipped in in hot garlic butter. Very good!!!

Hey all- I am going to wait until Monday to weigh in. I cannot look at the scale today as it might send me on a spiral of self pity followed up by binging on a huge bag of Doritos. I am so bloated today, my fingers look like sausages! I guess I celebrated too much last night!

I have used sam-e and ONLY Naturemade brand has it has more actual stuff in it than the rest. I get it at drugstore(dot)com and it is expensive but it has really helped. I get the 400 and I take two in the morning of an empty stomach. Please try it

I've tried sam-e before and it didn't do any good. Maybe it was the brand, or the dose. I'll look for the brand you use. A lot of the pain I have is in my ankles and feet. Most nights, I have to sleep with my feet hanging off the edge of the bed because they hurt too much to lay them down on the bed.
