Yeah, I guess you could, but if you think you're going to be making custard regularly, it's worth getting one. I sure wouldn't want to have to try those pesky things with a fork. There's four eggs per batch.

I have found that even endocrinologists are clueless. I relocated here last year and my PCP is doing a fine job, so I don't even want to find an endo. The last one I went to (in California) tried to take me off Armour, so I kicked him to the curb and went back to my regular doc.

Actually, it's not as exotic as it sounds. Emerald City is another name for Seattle. I don't actually live in Seattle itself, but across Puget Sound to the West of it. It's considered the boonies. ETA: Yes, do come, and pick Amy up on the way.

Hey, everyone! This thread is SUPER busy.. I am trying to catch up on everything!

Menu today:
Breafkast : 2 eggs scrambled w/ cheese
Lunch: Bunless burger w/ cheddar cheese and mayo
Dinner: Broccoli, green beans, mushrooms and Lemon Pepper Salmon
Snack: Cream cheese muffin, slice of cheese, Atkins shake

I think the Atkins shakes may be causing me to have cravings... does anyone have any experience with this?

And I also feel SO bloated and it's nowhere near that TOM for me, and I drank a TON of water today... what's up with the bloating??

When I do shakes...they make me want something sweet a while later...I finally had to give them...Maybe we could use them as a snack. Do you ever add anything in your shakes?

Hashi's is an autoimmune disorder, which means your immune system is in the process of destroying it. The long you've had it, the smaller your thyroid is. My doctor in CA likened a Hashi's gland to a campfire. There are sections of a fire that flare up, then die down and that part of the fire is done. That's why it's so hard to regulate people who have Hashi's. You have flares and die-off going on all the time. The flares tend to skew your blood work. It's important to have a doctor who knows about Hashi's and that it's not typical hypo-thyroidism.

That is what happens to me when I drink the sugar free lattes from a local espresso stand. I think it sets me up for cravings later.
