Good Morning!!!! (yes it's good.. It's Saturday!!!)

Terry- I am sorry you didn't get your call yet, hopefully monday!

Jamie- Oh, you better have a picture of that handsome guy!

Stormy- that is wonderful news! I know it makes it more difficult but if he doesn't seem to be in pain that is the greatest news!

Bonnie- I hope D's ankle is much better today and you don't need to get it checked out.

Sarah good scores with shopping! I always have to have my reduced sugar ketchup/ davinchis... those are my must haves!

Well I am doing some Christmas shopping today, going to try and get Casey's done, at least most of it except stocking stuffers. Just waiting on my order from Lakeside to come in and I'll have most of the family done!

Hopefully Ken gets the outside lights up today...It wont take long after we start, it's just getting him out there to do it!

You snuck in Lise! Looks like we are both tackling some shopping today! This is the earliest I have ever started, normally it is the first weekend of December!

Howdy

Lise...I remember Shopper's Drug Mart. It was right on the corner from our hotel. We liked getting our Canadian chocolate fix there Great job on the rebates, gift cards, etc You go girl!! What is Kate asking for this year??

Diana....what is Casey asking for this year? Good luck with your shopping this weekend too!

The Andy Dance Report.....OMH too funny I am having flashbacks. Firstly, no pics I'm sure if he were a girl he would have let me. We're going to my sister's 40th tonight and he'll be dressed similiarly so I'll try one then I guess one of the girls (who he is friends with) has a crush on him and is not being too quiet about it. So all the other kids started getting on him about this girl. Finally he had a talk with her and told her that although he wants to be her friend he is not interested in her as a girlfriend. Then that quieted things down. As a result he told me that the middle of the dance was "kind of annoying" but that he had a good time overall

Jenn....a fire and coffee sound divine. I thought my new pot had died this morning but it's the outlets in that corner. When it warms up I'll go check the circuit breaker. I was having a heart attack though!

Andy wants a cell phone in the WORST way so that is what I am working on. It will not be that cheap because I'll need to upgrade my plan and hold onto a 4th line for a few more months.

As I mentioned my baby sister is 40 today so we are going to a surprise party at her house. I have to make meatballs and lasagna. It'll be fun as my other sister will be there and my cousin as well as the aunties and such. Also my BIL's brother is married to another PT and we work together. She is a lot of fun too. We tell everyone at work we are related

Is everyone working a full week next week? What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I am off Wed/Thurs but have to work Fri/Sat. We are having 12 here for dinner.

I'm keeping Stormy in my prayers...hoping Terry got some news

Have a great OP day everyone!

Good morning!
Jamie: too funny about the dance. Glad he told the girl he still wanted to be friends. He is certainly growing up! Have fun at your sister's 40th! Hope your coffee maker and the circuit is ok.
Diana and Lise: have fun shopping and hope you score BIG!
Morning Lori! How's everyone in your house doing? Can't wait for my youngest DD to come home next Tuesday for Thanksgiiving break! We are going to see Twilight even though she already saw it yesterday! She is doing great in college and likes it and this year has some friends....and a great roommate. I think she said she will graduate in 2010. I think she'll be a great teacher....
G'morning to everyone else....need to make another cup of coffee.....

I am OFF starting today for 9 days in a row.....never had that much time off in one stretch! We were going to have dinner at krystle's house but as it turns out she will go to her sister in law's (and that is ok with me) and Randy and I will have our dinner at home (with leftovers!). Randy will pick up his Mom to spend the day over here.....and my kids might drop in....I think I will invite my son and his GF....my youngest daughter will be home.

I hate not being able to check in here at work

Thanksgiving will just be DH and I. Hannah is flying to NJ to go to her BFF's sweet 16 celebration, which will be spending the day in NYC shopping and going to Serendipity (the place in the movie with YUMMY deserts) and we were supposed to have DH's sister and her kids and DH's cousin and her husband but they all decided to stay local. That is fine with me. We'll either go out with my friend that is going with a few people or we'll go to the casino, have the fancy buffet and doing a little gambling. I have to work on Friday otherwise we'd go down to DH's sisters.

I can't get motivated to start working on this next project. I promised myself that I would do a bunch of it this weekend.

Not sure what Hannah really wants as gifts this year. Usually I can figure out a few things, but besides brown boots there really isn't much. She wants a new iPod but there is nothing wrong with hers now, except that it is "old" since she's had it for 2 years

good morning I woke up thinking I had to go to work and then remembered it was Saturday
I was back to 147 this morning. I was worried because I had gone up after the Employee dinner. I ate OP that night but it was probably typically sodium filled resteraunt food. I had forgotten how I can go up 4 - 5 lbs after eating out especially when it is at a later time than I would normally eat dinner

I'm not sure what we are doing for Thanksgiving. I would think Dana would have something, but D hasn't mentioned it. He is good at forgetting to tell me though. I'm surprised he told me in advance we have to go to Tenino tomorrow for dgd Lina's

D is still asleep so I don't know how his ankle is doing this morning. The last thing he said last night before going to sleep was "I think I should probably have it xrayed" so more than likely we will go to Kaiser. We had planned to do some running around, but I will probably end up doing the errands by myself since he can hardly walk. I don't know if it will affect going to the party tomorrow or not

I only have Thursday off - I decided to work Friday instead of taking it off like I normally do. I don't know if I'm taking any time off for Christmas - depends on if dgd Melisa and/or dgs Mark come up and when the party is at Jen's. I'm seriously thinking about taking January 20th off. I know I can watch replays when I get home, but I want to see the inauguration live

Kuddos for those doing their shopping early. We only have to get gifts for the little kids - the adults are going to do a Take a Gift game with gift cards. At least that was the last I heard when Jen was here with Cooper a couple of weeks ago

continued for Ted, Stormy and her family

I think I will go back to sleep for awhile. have a super duper OP day

and all around

Good Morning all.

Today is the first day I didnt step on the scale. I'm just so disguisted that it's not moving like I want it to. I feel like I am starving myself.

I will go to work and do a little bit of paperwork then I am off to the dog shop to figure out haow to price everything. DH Mike is building the bases for the bakery cases.

Last night I dreamt of frosting.

Stormy. We are here for you.

I can't wait to see the Andy's first dance pictures. They grow so fast.

D and Bonnie.

I'm on a fast track so I'll try to pop in later. What's really going on is that I am out of coffee at the house and I've gotta get to the store.

Good morning! Checking in from the Toyota dealership, where I'm having my car serviced. It's downright neighborly of them to have a computer here for me to use. I almost brought the laptop, but didn't get up early enough to pack it up, so I grabbed a book instead. When I walked past the "Wi-Fi Cafe", I saw the computer sitting here all lonesome and decided to keep it company.

About the biopsy, I am disappointed not to have heard from them, but reality is, there is no good news to be had in this situation. There is clearly something wrong, and if it's not what they think it is, we will have to keep searching until we find it. So a negative result means more testing, and I'd really just rather know what's wrong and get on treatment now instead of having to continue to wonder what it is. Lise, did you and W go through that too?

Are they a couple? I had heard rumors awhile back but thought that is all they were ... rumors

I hope you hear something soon. Any chance you would hear something over the weekend? I WiFi Cafes and WiFi hot spots when I have my laptop with me

Are you going to have an online store too?

I really should take a nap, but I need to get D up soon. I think Kaiser is open 10 - 2 on Saturdays, or something like that. I know they are having another Flu Shot clinic today. We both already got our do over flu shots so we don't need to do that today.

No, I won't hear anything until Monday at the soonest. I just hope they come to a conclusion before before I see the Rheumatologist a week from Thursday.

We went to Kaiser and they xrayed D's foot - no broken bones We have no idea if it is a torn ligament, bruise or sprain but the urgent care Doctor told us to treat it like a sprain - wrap it with an Ace bandage, keep it elevated and put ice on it. D says it feels much better now that it is wrapped.

I brought him home afterwards and then ran to Rainier and grocery shopping by myself as I figured I would have to. Going to Tenino tomorrow is iffy - he will decide tomorrow if he wants to sit in the car that long - it is over an hour drive to get there. There are also several steps up to Sabrina's house and he can barely walk from the LR to the bathroom as it is.

WinCo was a madhouse but everyone is always patient there even when the aisles are crowded and you have to wait to get through them. One of the reasons I like that store and the main reason I seldom go to Wal*Mart - it is always crowded and the people are so rude to everyone.

I stocked up on my staples and I also bought all the fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner. I figured even if Dana has something that day and we go over there, we can have another TG dinner this weekend.

How do you cook fresh yams? I'm going to do some googling on it, but was wondering how you guys fix yours. I'm not making them sweet, just plain.

I splurged and had a small espresso on the way to Rainier. I haven't had one in several years and it tasted so good

off to fix a Rum and diet cola and browse before cooking something for dinner ... see you all tomorrow.

I cook mine plain - really plain. I just treat it like a baked potato, wrap it in foil and bake it in the oven. It does take less time than a russet, though. I like them with butter and Spike seasoning.

You could peel and slice them into a dish and add butter and cinnamon and bake. Makes them savory

Both of these sound yummy!!

Just like those beets I made a few weeks ago - I like beets, but never had made them from fresh-grown from someone's garden before. I have eaten yams/sweet potatoes and I know I like them, but I have never bought them and cooked them from scratch. I can't wait to do something with them.

D actually said he might try them too. He claimed not to like broccoli and cauliflower but since I cook them alot he has tried them and found he likes them more than he thought.

I cook them for my parrots all the time. You just put them in a bowl with a tiny bit of water and microwave for about ten minutes per sweet potato. They come out soft, just like a baked potato. My husband eats them with butter and a pack of Splenda.

If you are going to cook a bunch of them and you want to mash them or use them in a recipe, you can boil them. I've cooked them that way before.

If you have not been to a website called allrecipes, you should go there. You can't go wrong with any of the five star recipes on that site.

They were serving them fried, just like french fries, at the hospital cafe in New Orleans. I did not try them, but a lot of people were eating them. I saw "Fried Sweet Potatoes" listed on signs at other places in New Orleans, too. Sounds awful, but I bet they are pretty good.

When I was at the conference in Kansas City I did taste Sweet Potato French Fries - I had forgotten about that. I liked them alot ... the co worker who went with me didn't like them. It is funny how tastes can be so different.

I love all the hints I'm getting D is so funny - I've been reading to him your ways of cooking them and he said when I try the recipes that he would taste them. He has tasted sweet potatoes in the past and didn't like them, but maybe just like the different ways that I have cooked broccoli and cauliflower that he found he has liked, he may actually find he likes yams too. I will definately check out that website!

Hey all,

Well, I'm home and had a pretty good day at the dog shop. To answer your question Bonnie, yes, I am going to have an online shop as well.

Rufus is getting out of his cute puppy stage. He has managed to shred all of the toilet paper from both bathrooms. This is definately a teenager stage.

Bonnie, glad that D doesn't have any broken bones. This is good.

It's starting to get really cold here. I wish it would snow.

Joanne. Are you the same Joanne with all the snowmans?

Stormy, nice to see you.

My clown fish are guarding their eggs. According to the internet the eggs should hatch in another 5 days or so. This ought to be interesting.

My eating has been good. I have however had two coconut Atkin$ Bars. Yummy!

Morning!!!

Well I got most of my shopping done and dropped off at work! YAY! I also saw my Lakeside order shipped out. Waiting on my backorders to ship too, can't wait!

Ken got the roof lights up yesterday, I took pictures of him on the roof, he is so chicken to be up there! LOL

We spent the evening making ringtones, I made one with the National Lampoons Christmas vacation and one from Akons Lonely. There are awesome! That was really it...

Today nothing on tap, watch some football and some DVR...

We usually get off Wednesday afternoon, and then Thursday and Friday. Back on Monday...

Hi everyone.

Well, let me tell you how wonderful Mike is. This morning I was cleaning the kitchen and he decided to get the carpet cleaner out and clean the carpets. To me this is so wonderful. To most it's most likely the norm. My X didn't lift a finger and neither did any other man in my life including my own dad, so this is so great.

I Mike.

We just cooked a roast and it was delicious. I am craving chocolate. Jeez! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is so close. My DD Mattie and her husband will be here the day after for another Thanksgiving Dinner.

Have a great day.
