Heather and Bonnie- I know you both didn't mean it, and I think that is why it bugged me. Thank you for the apologies.
![]() OMG, Paula!!! She is getting so big!!! Look at her, awww... I love the doll baby picture... Casey has one where she is dragging her baby around. Niki- Look how big Rufus is getting!!! He barely looks like a puppy anymore! Bonnie- I feel the same about Mia, first I had a hard time adjusting to a big dog, now I go to work and miss her!! Ken is going on a business trip today for the rest of the week and Mia will become depressed, she will mope around the house, ears will be down and all. She will lay by the door each night staring at it awaiting his return! Casey has girls scouts today and that's about it... I'll drop her off and come home and do nothing! LOL Hopefully this Saturday we can finish getting the lights up on the roof, it will be nice to be done. I did get my hair colored last night, I was going to go chocolate brown with highlights but I was afraid I would be in shock after being blond for so long, so we did a light brown, almost a dirty blond. Next time I will go in we will add in more of a darker color and gradually bring it in. I'll get a picture this weekend.

The pictures do not do them justice. The color is so deep....I can't wait to be done and have them all on! I'll try taking pics again once we are all done. I couldn't get the whole house in the pictures but the front door has lights too. The fireplace will have some garland with white LED lights too.
The tree... ![]() ![]() The roof lights are not on, but it gives you an idea... ![]() ![]() Last edited by Diana; 11-18-2008 at 04:35 AM.. |

How about the Helio "Banana" dance?????This season has gone progressively downhill They started out stronger than most groups do but plateaued very quickly. Last night was a HUGE disappointment. Jason. I started watching season 4, the year Apolo won.Lovely tree and lights, Diana. I'm not sure I'm putting my tree up this year and we never do lights - same issues some others have with ladders. I have a star I sometimes put up in the upstairs window but that's about it. ![]() dear TAP !!! How come mornings come so fast?? off to get more coffee and read the news ... have a super OP Tuesday all around |

Actually, not really. She's a very good girl. Jay's been gone since the beginning of November and I haven't really noticed missing the extra hands. The only time it's hard is that I can't do any school work before she goes to bed because she want someone to play with her, but that's find since I have her in bed at 8:00 on work nights anyway.

..Bonnie...thanks for the clip...that was an awesome two step...I'm enjoying this year but then it's my first so I have nothing to compare it with....I've often wondered how it stacked up to other years....I do have an affection for those left and I wish they could all stay but since one has to go I think it should be Warren...he is fun and he and Kim have so much personality but he really isn't up to the standards....I thought Lance was a real pro last night when he lost his shoe and carried on without missing a step.... ...I really like Cody too...I think he does very well.....Brook seems to be really good but not exciting to watch...I think she is a little big on herself...and she made the biggest blunder of them all and at this late stage...![]() Ok...must work..have a great OP day....great pics Diana... ![]() |

I
Emma, I Apolo, I RufusBonnie, I have tried, but have never been able to get into DWTS the way you all are. Maybe it's because I didn't see the Apolo season. He sure is easy on the eyes. At any rate, I didn't watch more than one or two shows this season. Dear Tap!!They did the biopsy on me yesterday. The doctor said again that he thinks I'm a "tough person". I guess he's used to seeing people act like babies over nothing. It really didn't hurt, but I'm glad it's over. I was a bit uncomfortable last night, but some Advil took care of it. I should have the results in about a week. If it's not Wegener's, we're going to have to go back to the drawing board to find out what it is. As the Rheumatologist said, "something is going on", and we need to find out what it is.

TAP, I hope you have the best Birthday EVER!! Happy Birthday!!
Niki, what BEAUTIFUL pictures!! Those are keepers, for sure! Bonnie, I only caught the first few episodes of DWTS this season. I love that show, but just have not had time to keep up with it. I wish they did reruns on another channel like they do with some shows. I have TIVO, but I have not even had time to go back and watch all of my favorites before they get full and deleted. Oh well. I did finally get to watch the most recent episode of The Biggest Loser. That was a GREAT ending!! Too Cool! I only wish that it was Vicky that had been voted off instead! Emma is just the most ADORABLE baby! That smile is worth a million bucks! Hi Jamie. Hope things are going well with you! Tina, how are things going? Hope you are well. Hi Heather. Cold and windy around here today, huh? Supposed to be in the 20's tonight. Yuck! Hi Diana. My husband is away on business this week, too. He went to Savannah. I wanted to go, but just could not be away with my brother being so sick. It's always a vacation when the husband's are away, though, huh? They are SO much work! At least mine is! Hi Lise! Hope you are having a great day, too!! I need to read back in the posts to see what's up with you. I read them, but I'm not retaining much right now because I'm SO tired from the crazy schedule I've been keeping lately. Terry, I'm glad that biopsy is finally over with! I hope they find out what it is and how to fix it. That has to be frustrating for you. Hi Marie. Hope things are going well with you! Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers. If my brother makes it through this episode, we are hoping he will have a better attitude and will try harder to follow Dr.'s orders. Poor guy still has not even had time to process the fact that he has a terminal diagnosis, so he's been struggling with giving up salt and trying to eat right and exercise and make the other lifestyle changes that he has to make. I don't think I could fight back from where he is right now, but he's tough, so we'll see what happens. Hi Lori! Have a great day!! I know I'm forgetting a bunch of folks. Hi to all of you, too! I'm cooking some chicken breasts in the toaster oven. Trying to start off right today. I have not been doing too bad, but I don't want to get on the scale until I feel like I'm really doing well again. The lack of sleep, hospital diet, lack of exercise, and lack of planning have taken a toll but I'm ready to fight my way back. I had to go to Pensacola yesterday to spend some time with my grandmother, so I did not get a chance to check in. I have to go to Montgomery tomorrow because my brand new Honda Civic started making a loud noise from the front wheel well on my way too and from New Orleans. Sounds like a wheel bearing, but I don't even have 5000 miles on that car yet. They said if it's an overnight job (and it ALWAYS is with car dealers, isn't it?), they will give me a rental in case I have to go to New Orleans. It's shaping up to be a busy week, but I'll check in as often as I can. I'm going to do everything in my power to stay on track with my WOE this week. Can't deal with all this extra belly fat, so it's got to go!

Beautiful Pics, Diana, but GEEZ...Christmas already?????
![]() ![]() ![]() I tripped over a row of plastic Santa's in Walmart two weeks ago. It gets earlier and earlier every year, it seems. I guess, that people who go to so much trouble decorating (like you and your brother) get a few extra weeks for all of your efforts. I know that people who don't bother decorate (like me) really appreciate driving around to look at all the beautiful lights. ![]() Last edited by talachee; 11-18-2008 at 09:47 AM.. |

Stormy- we went over to Wal*Mart the day after Thanksgiving and they were playing Christmas music! Of course they had Christmas stuff up in the back and Halloween up front in October...
My neighbors saw us put stuff up early (I don't want to deal with it when we get back from TN) anyway... next thing you know they were out there. I can't wait to have it done! Lights are a big thing in our family, we have to have them, inside and out. |

Morning all!
Love the pics of Rufus and Emma! Diana - Christmas already! WOW you are organized! I cannot even think about Christmas until I get through Thanksgiving. Tap!Stormy - for your brother and for you.Terry - for your test results.Hi Jamie, Lori, Marie, Bonnie, Heather and anyone I missed! We are still having hot weather but the fires seem to be more in control - the one closest to me in Montecito is under control and from what I understand the 2 other ones are getting more in control. The 500 mobile homes lost in Sylmar is devastating - they had interviews and many had lived there for 30 years - many elderly - and they have lost everything. So sad. I am still doing great on my exercise goals. I feel great! My clothes all fit so much better and after I exercise I really think about what I eat and if it is worth it. Although my legs are constantly sore. I am trying to figure out how those contestants on the Biggest Loser who basically did no exercise before the show can go from no exercise to 4-6 hours a day! I would be wrecked and how can you keep exercising while you are so sore! I would be too tired to cause all the drama that is on the show this season! ![]() Hope everyone has a spectacular OP day!

That's right. The dealership is right down the road from Auburn. I'm not looking forward to the trip, though. That's such a long, straight Interstate. Seems like it takes forever.
I'm sort of wishing that I had called the dealership in Pensacola instead, but I figured that since this is the first problem I've had with, I might have better luck if I take it to the dealership that I actually bought it from. You have me thinking now, though. I might call Pensacola and see if they can look at it instead. At least that way, I can see my Grandmother while I'm there. |

I know what you mean! I wonder about that every time I watch the show. They said they have to do "homework", which is 90 minutes of walking or cardio every morning, too. Some of those people are my age and weigh even more than I do. I just can't imagine being able to do all the exercise that they put them through. I guess they have Dr.'s on staff to make sure nothing goes wrong. When someone "feels" like they are dying, the Dr. can check them out and tell them to get back to work! Still amazes me.
Sorry about all the fires. We live near a train track and the train catches our woods on fire from time to time during dry spells. We deal with hurricanes around here, but I have to say, fire is MUCH more scary! Stay safe!! Quote:

Ha Ha!!
I actually thought about you thinking that when I was typing that I might rather go to Pensacola. I'm not a big Montgomery fan. WAY too much road construction going on there. Those roads are a NIGHTMARE!! It does not help that the dealership is WAY over on the other side of town from I-65, either. Last time I went to Montgomery, we sat in a traffic jam for two hours trying to get from Millbrook to the Atlanta exit. Seems they like to do road construction on Sunday around there. They had shut one lane down on I-65 South and had traffic backed up for miles. Blah. Yes, I might just have to call the Pensacola dealership, as I'm quickly talking myself out of that Montgomery trip. My husband LOVES the new Bass Pro shop, though. |

Funny about the neighbors. Sort of like cutting grass, I suppose. If your neighbor cuts grass, it always makes yours look bad, so you have to get out there and cut yours too.
At least the weather should be milder now for putting up decorations than it will be a couple of weeks from now. You almost messed me up with the Thanksgiving comment, though! I've been on such a crazy schedule lately that I had to check the date after I read your comment. I thought I had completely overlooked Thanksgiving this year! ![]() Quote:

It was big enough that he had to cauterize it to stop the bleeding. On the Biggest Loser, do you all think they are able to maintain that level of exercise? I mean, what do they do when they return to a real life with a job, a house, kids, etc.? If you have to exercise that much to lose the weight, you'd have to do close to that amount to maintain it. It's just not realistic. |

I could do that much exercise if my only chore every day was preparing my own meals...that place would be like a spa to me.....although 8 or 9 weeks or however long it's for would be too long for me...but I think I could manage it to be the next Ali...
...I hope they split up the Heba/Ed family tonight....Vicky can stay as long as she wants now that she has no power....I'm so looking forward to seeing her (not so) smug face tonight....I hope they don't waste too much air time on her woe is me antics....but I do want to see a bit of it....then if I get my way it will be bu bye Heba.... ![]() ![]() |
