Well actually 4 hunky guys (Dave would usually be the 5th but he was out for the count).

Hi Jenn. When I got home from New Orleans, my Japanese Maples had turned the brightest of reds. I could not believe how quickly they turned. It seemed like the leaves around here waited longer than usual to turn this year, but once they got going, they turned all at once. So pretty!

Diana, have you ever seen anyone lay lights on the ground to cover their entire yard? There is a house near us that does that. it looks SO cool! I admire people who take time to put up all the lights. I don't ever go to much trouble with decorating. No one out my way to see it, anyway. My house can't be seen from the road. I like the houses that are done more subtile, with wreaths or candles in the windows, and maybe a spotlight or two. Kids LOVE houses like your brothers, though, so kudos to him for getting out there and going to all that effort!

Marie, I'm with you on not putting up a tree!! I think I've put up one in the last eight years, and I probably won't get around to it this year either. Those plug in trees that are already lighted are great, though. I can always pull one out and throw it up if company threatens to come over!

Hi Jamie. I guess I'm not really into movies, either. Just realized how boring I am. I have seen the old Lampoon movies. I could use a good laugh, so maybe I'll check out the newer ones. Hope things are going great with you.

Hi to Everyone else. Hope Everyone has a great Sunday!!

Thanks Jamie. I know my MIL could hear us while in a coma the day before she passed, but I wondered if it was different when induced by medication. I've been trying my best to have my mother (she has a very "unstable" personality) go outside when she gets crazy about things. I just want him to be at peace. He was really apprehensive about the possibility of dying before he went to the hospital, so I'm hoping the sedation will help him get through all of this without too much fear.

So sorry that your day started off with paramedics! Glad things turned out alright, though. I sometimes think about emergency workers if I go to bed with a messy house, so I can totally relate to the fish tank thing! Thinking about it makes me want to do some housework today!

Diana....I think you need to take tons of pics for us I LOVE Christmas lights Blue is my absolute fav!

Howdy Bonnie and Jenn

The day did not start out well Dave's sugar was really low and for the first time in 19 years I had to call 911. So the paramedics came, started an IV and he is good now. We didn't have him transported to the ER. There's nothing they can do there that we can't do here....today is the big fish tank day so we need to be ready The funny part was that his side of the room was a mess and now he is mortified because the firefighters and paramedics saw it OMH...the day can only go up from here though!

Off and running...have a fabby day everyone!

and good morning....

My we are a chatty bunch today....

Jamie... for Dave....low blood sugar scares me more than high...W's has been low lately but nothing that a glass of juice followed by a butter tart didn't cure.....

Yo Jo.... that

Diana...we switched to LED last year....Kate got into a big snit over it because she is very very very big on tradition and treated me like I wrecked Christmas because I got rid of our old lights...(she made me save them for her... )...we replaced the bushes and tree ones but not the lawn fixtures because the lights are built in...will post pictures once they are up...closer to Christmas.......I bought around 20 sets in all but like others here we don't put them on the house...we have an A shaped roof and it's too darned high...

Breakfast was 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 1 slice delux cheese on 2 oopsies....my all time favourite LC breakfast...plus 1 oopsie fresh out of the oven....

*wanders off shaking head because some folk haven't seen the very best Grisswald family movie....(the only part I don't like is that he spent his bonus before he got it which rubbed me the wrong way)...love the neighbours....love the relatives....the antics...

Have a great LC day ( did I mention that I'm in ketosis )..and congrats on that super new low Sarah...

to all

Sarah, congrats on your new low! Exciting days!

Jamie I hope Dave continues to feel better! That LBS is nothing to toy with.

Diana, your energy continues to amaze me! But then again, when I was your age, I was like that too. It's amazing how much I've slowed down in the past 10 years.

Stormy, continued for your brother!

Marie, we can't put up a tree if we wanted to. Magic eats them. It doesn't matter if it's real or fake, he munches and barfs until we take it down. His brother likes to crawl up inside them and sleep on the branches. They're a couple of characters, those boys of mine!

It's been two weeks without Prednisone, and I blew out a huge glob of yellow junk this morning. Sorry, I know that's TMI, but it's one of the symptoms I've been having all year. The Rheumatologist was going to put me back on antibiotics until I told him that we've been doing that all year long and it doesn't respond to antibiotics, only Prednisone. In fact, during my last 21-day course of antibiotics, I got worse. So instead of that, he gave me the cortisone shot that's supposed to keep me breathing until I see him again. I hope it does.

But then why am I having a craving for coffee with Bailey's???

I babysat today for a friend and it was a refreshing treat to deal with 2 potty-trained children that listened!! I can only hope that thats someday in my not-to-distant-future.

Yes, my brother does that. I think he will have over 30,000 LED lights on his house, yard, fence, bushes, pool, deck, roof, you name it. Everything gets covered!
I can remember when we were little and he used to go nuts and we would cover the whole basement playroom area with lights! He will definatley win this year in his neighborhood.

Awww... poor Kate! Has she tried to take those lights and set them up in her room? That is what Casey did! She has some of those Icecicles hanging from her radio shelf to her stuff animals hanging... She gets it from her Uncle Pat! They have the LED Net lights now, have you seen those?

Morning!!!
Scale only went down .2 from yesterday, I did fine all day but then after eating an early dinner I got hungry around 8PM for Coconut Shrimp... coulda been worse I was craving donut sticks!

Ok so I wont look like the next Clark Griswald, my brother Pat has that in the bag, but Sunday Casey and I ran to Meijer to return the snowflake LED lights that I didn't like and since they stopped their sale on LED lights we took off to Wal*Mart for more. I picked up 7 more sets of LED multi-color lights and 2 indoor extention cords and 1 outdoor for when we get the roof lights up. This weekend I will look for the C7 LED lights for my candles that go in the windows, and we are done until I get my wreath and garland that I ordered from Nick and Travis.

I am hoping to be able to get some shopping done for Casey for Christmas this weekend. She pointed out some clothing items that she wanted from Target and I already know what she is looking for as far as toys... so it's just a matter of time. I am waiting for my stuff to get shipped out that I have already ordered for the families, still need a handful of items and we will be set! It's nice to get an earlier start, wwwhheeew!

Good morning!

Well Diana, if some people want to do the Secret Santa, why not just have the ones who are interested do it? It seems a shame to spoil it for someone who was looking forward to it. Maybe if people see how fun it is, they'll look forward to doing it next year.

Today is the day I go for my biopsy. I have trepidation. Marie, 10:30 is a late night for me. I stayed up last night until 10 to see Storm Chasers, so it was a late one for me. However, I slept on the sofa for about an hour after dinner.

I wonder if Stormy is back off to New Orleans today.

It upset me, that just because some assumed no one was interested that we should do something else instead. I told people to PM me if interested with the info, that's why it no one posted it openly. Then after the info wasn't brought over from the last thread I thought, fine, I got the message loud and clear.

Terry- Good Luck today.... 10:30 is also late for me too!
