I had a totally low carb Thanksgiving last year, so this year being able to eat a sweet potato is wonderful.

I got my tail up and went to the gym this morning. I did he C25K week 1 workout. I think I will stick with it for a while.

Hello Allissa, I am new to this thread, never having posted anything before anywhere, but I started the diet a week ago and officially done week 1 !!!! Yeah, I posted a few questions on the new thread and was hoping to get some of your expert advice. If you get a chance to check it out that would be great if not I can wait to tomorrow for someone to weigh in. I just saw that you were still on-line. thank you very much.

Kate I don't know if anyone gave you this link because I stil have 3 pages of posts to read, but here is the link to the company that makes Ezekiel bread and their store finder. I believe they run their own bakery and no other products are made there. I hope this helps.

I just had the one minute muffin. I think it's Kate's recipe with no baking powder, the cinnamon and sweetner and egg. It was pretty good. May be my new snack. Looking forward to adding the pumpkin and other additive ideas.

Just getting home from work. I wanted to get the new link. I have the ez cereal and it's ok. I start week 6 tomorrow.

The time is flying by, and weight and inches slowly dropping. Glad I found all of you and sharing your goals. Heading to bed, see ya all tomorrow.

Don't weigh. I can't help it. I have to. Think of it as a sickness. I need a little encouragement. Carb Up Day is scaring me. . . .
I've been right where you are!!! but I thought I'd write here, and then more "officially" in next weeks thread. This is a Monday, 11/17/2008 and I lost 15-16 pounds in the eight weeks. Eight pounds of that was the first week. So I had plenty of weeks or 1-2 gain then 4 pound loss. But it came to almost 2 lbs average per week. I'm also 52, and don't have a whole lot to lose (now) but I'm slam back in memopause and I also only walk I don't know how many inches I lost but I went from a tight 16 down to a little tight 10 (but wearable).
I've never worn a 10 and weighed 161 pounds (I'm 5'4"), It does work, and evidently it was fat that I lost. This is a wonderful way to lose. Especially if I just take it 1 day at a time. I also only walk during my 2 15 minute breaks so I'm not doing anything real special. I hope to get back to doing more physically. but I just wanted to give you a little encouragement. I don't cook fancy and really rely on my protein to make sure I get enough food so that my body doesn't go into "starvation mode" TRUST THIS SYSTEM!!!!

Lani - Way to Go! Love this and be sure to post this info on this week's challenge! I'm so happy for you and we have a few people freaking out about their first carb up day so this will be great encouragement for them

Hi all!

I am on week 3 day 5. I had a thanksgiving party at work on Tuesday evening, in which I had 4 cookies and punch. Eek! I felt really guilty about this. I purposely did a carb down day the day before to prepare for this, and yesterday I had my baseline, so I am trying to not feel too guilty. I have not gone off course at all during the past 3 weeks, so I'm hoping this will not affect my weight loss too much.

On the bright side, I have noticed that my clothes are fitting me so much better. I do not weigh myself, because I'm pretty sure that would drive me crazy. So, all I have to go off of is my pants and shirts. I am pretty happy so far and am trying to plan out how I will handle thanksgiving. Eek! Anyone else worried about this?

Hi There - First, from what I understand your party was a carb up day? If so, why the heck are you feeling guilty? NO GUILT ALLOWED - you did nothing wrong. Please join us on the new thread - Jerri posted Wendy's plan for Thanksgiving there. Wendy Chant Crack the Fat Loss Code for November 17th 2008d

As I was reading through the old threads taking notes, I noticed this announcement for the first time. I'm very glad to hear she's putting out a new book so soon and hope it cleans up the confusing points in the current edition.
