Thank you, Tam. We are so very proud of them all. They are the best bunch of kids. Madyson, Kaleb and Maya are very good students. They make excellent grades. Madyson is in advanced classes. Maisy and Moriah are in 1st and 2nd grade and are doing very well there also. Aden, well, he's just spoiled rotten! How could he not be with 5 mommies? Everyone wanting to do everything for him? I hope they have something because i really do miss bread and i don't want to tweak too often for fear of over tweaking. One more questions, can someone look on their package to see if their EZ bread is make in a nut free facility? If it contains traces of any kind of nuts, i will have to tweak because i am allergic to them. Thanks.

Hi!
I posted today's menu on the menu thread. (carb-up day)I am trying to see if I am eating too much, and maybe that's why I'm not losing.
Other than those last pretzels... I think I did fine. Can you guys please check and tell me?

Thanks, Tam. He calls me his sweetie pie. He is very precious and delicious! He always tells his mom, "take my picture with your cell phone and send it to my mamm!" He's always doing the I love you sign!

We have always been so close to all of our grandchildren. They will all come and stay with us for weeks at a time. They eat the food we do, and they never complain!

That's what it's all about. My husband I were sitting at the show the other night and he commented, "We need a grandchild." He doesn't have children of his own, our children together are the dogs. Now that my daughter is married, that's the next thing on her list. She really wants one, her husband isn't sure. I told her to relax, it will happen when you least expect it.

Thanks for checking the ez bread for me Jackie, just as i suspected, i can't have it but i will try to find the best alternative. Food allergies suck, especially nut ones cause they are in everything although some companies are starting to get better.

Ohhh, what beautiful children and grandchildren you have! You are so very lucky. I can't believe your daughter had all 5 children and still looks so great. I had four and i am so frumpy. I was thin after i had them but the stress of having 4 young children, a so-so marriage and a husband that worked away all week finally got to me. I am heavier now than after i had my 4th kid and all my kids were around the 10lb mark. If i could do it over again . . . alas, i cannot turn back time but i can turn around my future.

Thank you for the website linda, it looks good and i can get gluten free bread here but i need to know who to ask Wendy if it is a replacement for ez bread or if it is a regular carb. Can someone let me know how to ask her this question? thanks. It is great to know that there are people to help when you aren't sure where to turn. I love this support group.

Kate: Let's ask Jerri! Jerri, if you are around here, can you ask Wendy about a substitute for EZ bread? Kate is allergic to nuts so cannot have the EZ bread, even if she could find it where she lives. This is a problem for many people, so it would be good to know what would be a good substitute for her.

Kate: What about making your own EZ bread? There is a company online where you can buy the mix and put it in your food processor and grind it up to flour. I'll post the regular EZ bread recipe online and get you the name of that company and you can maybe try to make some for yourself so there won't be the danger of nuts. Are you able to do that?

Sure thing jackie, i am willing to give anything a try. I used to make all home made bread because of my allergies and my DH high cholesterol so won't be a problem at all.

I think we all should move to the same town. That way we can borrow from each other, work out together, have meals together....oh my I could go on. Brain storm: the CTFLC Commune! And we can grow our own grains to make our EZ bread. Ok, I'm bored waiting for Mike to get home so we can have dinner and watch a movie. I did shampoo my family room carpet today and did my C25K. Why did I ever get off white Berber with 4 dogs?

Better Body Basics - T-Tapp.com for that sagging skin. She is amazing!

P.S. I get no kick backs from her, it is just a great workout!
Tam - callanetics is great too for sagging skin. That is actually how I found LCF and my friend Mama Mary and CFLC - I was looking for info on Callanetics because i was so fed up with doing my aerobics and not seeing any difference in my appearance! I remembered Callanetics from the late 80s and googled and found the Callanetics challenge.

I started with Callanetics the 1st of July and then began researching the different LC plans on the board and found Mary and CFLC - the rest is history!

But I really Love Callanetics and I think it is very similar to TTap - check out both and decide. I think I may check out the free samples jackie talked about and if i like them add them to my workout schedule!

I am fine, Thank G-d!
Just a reminder- I don't post from Fri. late afternoon my time (though Fridays I usually don't have time to look at the computer after 8AM because of Sabbath prep...) until Sat. nite, as it is our Jewish Sabbath and we don't use anything electric, etc., that includes computers, phones, cooking, cleaning, etc. A day of rest.... so don't worry about me- I rested !
Had the most sane carb-up day so far- couldn't even finish my marshmallows (we split a bag my mom sent over with the kids)- I'll have some M5 with some hot cocoa.... water based with a bit of milk... Usually I eat from all the junk we have around Saturdays- didn't speak to me- had a tea and some almonds... Even at the meals when I usually eat much more.
I've been frustrated at the stalled weight and was worried my carb up day would be disasterous, but I didn't really want anything extra.

Been cutting down on the sweetener- had stevia in my muffin yesterday, only one shake, and a bit of sugar in my tea last night. Today only a bit of no carb chocolate with PB in the morning with my coffee- (Sabbath morning treat- we have a big brunch at about 11am and I need something to carry me over....)no more sweetener the rest of the day, and just 1/2 t. sugar in my tea.
I think my chronic headache is a bit better, but am not sure yet....

You lucky girl- an in house maseusse (sic?)

]

I had 7 pages- no way can I read it all- not fair- sure I missed some juicy advice, news and scandals

So happy about the house! Be careful about plumbing- my mother's house has terrible problems to this day (15 yrs later...) - the sellers definitely knew about it...she put in a new kitchen when she moved in and it started smelling moldy right away.... and she's had countless floods.... good you are on top of things...

All's fine... see above....
You guys are so sweet to miss me

Hey, Kelley, saw your new stats- woweeeee- !!!

I'll be doing maintenance this week, though I must lose more weight fast... any advice from you gurus???
Tam - thanks! You always notice I would do maintenance I think you will enjoy it because you get to eat fruit every day! After maintenance you do 5 carb down days so that should help.

Good evening to all

Week 4 day 6
Carb up day I think I over do on carb up days and that is part of my problem
quick summary to see what the elders think

Last two meals
cheeseburger (kiddie size from McDonalds)
two lindor chocolates (small round ones)

three pieces of pizza (small ones )
one chocolate cookie
10 sunchips

I think the junk food craving takes over. However none of them were a huge pig fest I was not stuffed

I am going to post the whole day on the menu thread for closer scrutiny.
Not freakin out which is a big step for me.

I think I could do two meals a day and be fine. I never ate before 3 or 4 anyway. My weight all came from junk eating in bed when I got home from work at 11:00 that and cokes all day long. Really you can survive on this food plan and gain weight!

Now I wake up early to plan my meals for the day and start meal 1 at 8:00 so I can get all 5 of them in by the end of the day with my class schedule. I am a different person.

Did any of you send Wendy a letter and photo? I did, mainly to tell her thanks, I know I'm not far enough on the program to count but she really has changed my woe and I'm one of her greatful followers.

I just ran home to eat and have to head back for a private, decorating for party tonight and class so see you all some time tonight.

Jackie I'm one of those people you have to sneak the good stuff in when I'm not looking and don't tell me it's in there, I'd rather eat and not know. My mom raised me on chocolate from birth and very proudly told everyone that. I of course was the only one fat in a family of 6 kids, that and tortillas. Now you know my two weakness.
i'm feeling a kinship with you. Cherry coke, chocolate and mexican food are all my favs! i haven't sent wendy a letter or picture yet,but plan to. have a great evening

kate - no biggie do what you can. you can do walking to get started and curves is great. Tae bo is a killer workout so if you can do that more power to you!

oh, i don't know the answer to your question above, just didnt' want you to think i was ignoring it!

No, Tam, that was no mistake. We have been married for 35 years. I'm trying to upload a picture of our 2 girls and their families, but they are so small you can't see them.

I'll try again.

1st picture is Madyson Andre'a Sinclair 13, 2nd is Maya Anecea Simone 11, 3rd is Maisy Aliya Sheridan 7, 4th is Moriah Ann Soleil 6, and the little one is Aden Keith 3. The last picture is of our two daughters, Rosemary (glasses, the oldest) and Jenny (the mother of the 5 children above.

I'll post a picture of my sons-in-law and my grandson from Rosemary next. This post wouldn't hold them all!
Gorgeous!

Thank you, Linda. All those M A S names were hard to come up with. You know what is so funny? When our oldest daughter, Rosemary, had her first child 16 years ago, her name was Mique (mickey) Adeline. Mique was the little one who passed away at 3.5 months. So, all of our granddaughters had M A names. They didn't realize this until much later.
Oh wow, I can't imagine what you went through

Too cute, my son is spoiled rotten too. My mom loves him to death and he has a special bond with her.

Just wanted to mention that I finally finished Week 1...Got on the scale in the morning...and lost 13 lbs ...wow...im impressed with myself...although I know 75% of that is water weight...its still nice to see that smaller number....
I was almost afraid to eat oatmeal in the morning today to start Week 2...but I realize that I have to do the plan as Wendy planned it to get the most results...(For awhile last night, I was thinking of continuing with Week 1 again but realized it was a bad idea)....Thanks guys for all your support! Keep losing those pounds!

So true. And tell her husband if you wait until you think you are ready it will never happen. Your whole life turns upside down but it is so worth it!

Why did I ever get off white Berber with 4 dogs?
I know what you mean. We have beige carpet in our home with 3 young children - now it is grayish, dirty brown

quick summary to see what the elders think

Last two meals
cheeseburger (kiddie size from McDonalds)
two lindor chocolates (small round ones)

three pieces of pizza (small ones )
one chocolate cookie
10 sunchips

I think the junk food craving takes over. However none of them were a huge pig fest I was not stuffed

I am going to post the whole day on the menu thread for closer scrutiny.
Not freakin out which is a big step for me.
Hey Nina - beautiful horse. I think you did fine. I had calamari at lunch and pizza for dinner with wine and plan on having brownies! Love Carb Up day!

Brownies

Brownies Darn it I never thought of them I will have to wait for Wed. Horse's name is Brandy new addition this summer she was super thin and somewhat neglected when I got her she had gained about a hundred lbs in that pic and is at a good weight now. I had to get some vet work done on her and chiropractic work as well. I started to show her at the end of the summer and she did very well her first time at horse shows and she won some first place's ribbons already so a diamond in the making. I can manage her weight great just not my own lol She is part of my motivation so I can look good on her at the horse shows and continue her winning streak lol

Just beautiful, I don't live to far from horse country in VA. I'm about 15-20 mins from Middleburg. I have a teacher friend who moonlights at a horse sanctuary for horses that have been maltreated. She has told me horror stories of the horses they have rescued. Animal and Child cruelty is the one thing I can't stomach and have a horrible 'they don't deserve to live' mentality(I'm usually everyone deserves a second chance person). I'm so happy that horse got a second chance with you and know soon you will be looking great on her!

Oh, MY!!!! I just tried the pumpkin muffin recipe and added vanilla, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground fresh ginger (I get it in a jar) along with 1TBS of flax seed. Then I topped it with a little SF maple syrup. I'm in !

SO, does it count as a P (egg), V (pumpkin), and O (flax seed)?
