Hey Alissa, I was logged on but out of the room! I'm getting the kiddies ready for bed and then I'm hitting the hay myself with a good book. I'm so happy for you and hope you get in before thanksgiving - your holidays are going to awesome!

Carli is doing great but I just gave her medicine that is supposed to be for 10 days and I think I will be out in 7 - UGH!

Don't know the name of it, isn't that awful, but it is one of those mysteries. Do you know Jonathan Kellerman? I love him and this one is sort of like that.

Hi Vlad!!

Resolved issues with ex...hmmm...not so much so that is why i still have three attorneys (they all handle a very specific aspect of "life with Chris as an ex" BUT I have a pretty good attitude about it ) As I mentioned before, the man I married and loved dearly is gone. This person is nothing remotely like that man...so I can put it into perspective and honor who he is today ONLY as Megs dad and respect that she deserves to have him in her life in what ever capacity he is capable of being in it...barring any adverse effect or injury to her over it of course Thank you for the well wishes...you sound like you are in a very good place today! YAY FOR YOU!

Kelley, I am feeling ever so slightly guilty for not wanting to grab a work out BUT at the same time I really am relishing the notion of doing absolutely NOTHING

Well, as close to doing nothing as a single mom of three can get

Kim
I gained 3lbs in week two stayed the same for week three and no change so far for week 4. I am a scale addict as well and the carb up days scare me too. Carb up but dont stuff that is the advice I am getting. I am hoping for the scale to move too but I am giving it 8 weeks so maybe my body will get a clue soon. I figure that my body is very crafty and I need to outlast it and do the 8 weeks to retrain it. It is being very stubborn.
I hear ya sister
Hang in there
Keep the faith

Don't weigh. I can't help it. I have to. Think of it as a sickness. I need a little encouragement. Carb Up Day is scaring me. . . .

May I ask where you get your Agvar nectar and how is it used? Not that I want to start nectar-gate...just curious and I have heard lots of you ladies mention it I trust your "food-sense" and love how your recipes sound so I'm betting that you have put that Agvar to good use
It is used as a sweetener instead of artificial sweeteners or sugar. It has a very low glycemic index. I buy the Mudhava brand on amazon.com. It is way cheaper there. I also make sure I get the raw, organic one. It is great in hot tea or just about anything you need to use sugar for. If baking with it, you use about 1/3 the amount of sugar you would use and lower your oven temp about 25 degrees.

Raw foodists will dispute the "rawness" of agave nectar, but I'm not so concerned about that. I'm just glad to find that it is low glycemic.

That one sounds good too. I'll try that one on Sunday. Tomorrow is a carb up day. I think I'm going to make a fish soup for dinner or something!

I believe it is partially a protein and a fat due to the flax seeds.

Thanks Linda! It is easier to just let the attorneys handle things...honestly it ends up that way eventually only if I interact with him I feel like crud and all beat up again...so best to skip right to the attorneys! My divorce attorney has actually become my friend if you can believe it! I love going out to lunch and catching up with her. Now that those issues are buttoned up, we can relax in a friendship. My appeals attorney is handling an outstanding issue from the divorce trial...stupid money stuff but necessary. My collections attorney and real estate attorney is handling the judgment, since he owes me so much money and won't pay...though he did now of course he was near 6 months delinquent! You know, it worked out for the best So there you go, three attorneys! Two of them have suggested that I become one...after this baptism into the world of family law I probably could!!

HELP! I cannot find EZ bread anywhere and i am wondering how this dempsters bread compares to ez bread. Someone was going to check the ez bread package to see if it contained traces of nuts or was made in a nut facility. I may not even be able to have the ez bread. I have found a few types of sprouted grain bread but all were made in a nut facility. I know this has whole grain and not sprouted grain but just wondering how different it is. Thanks.

Dempsters Ancient Grain bread

Ingredients: whole grain whole wheat flour including the germ, whole grain flax, whole grain millet, whole grain spelt flakes, whole grain kamut flakes, whole grain barley flakes, whole grain poppy seeds, whole grain amaranth, whole grain quinoa, rye flakes, sugar, wheat gluten, vinegar, soluble raisin syrup, salt vegetable oil

THANKS Nina and Linda!! That gives me encouragement about Carb Up days. I am not going to stuff, that's for SURE!! I am goign to a volleyball tournament for my son tomorrow, and so I've got my meals squared away and wrapped up and ready to go. Okay. I did NOT KNOW that the scales were such an enemy of the state! SO SORRY KELLY 17!!!! I will TRY to steer clear of them. . . . I will do my best. I definitely do not want any voodoo on the scale - as it already seems possessed. . . . Thanks again guys. I am not a techno person, so when my daughter comes home from college she can help me do things like put up a picture , how to quote messages etc. I know that sounds so lame, but what can I say. I have other talents. hahaha

hello those of you still here. just getting home from work. People will dance all night if you let them.

Welcome newbies its fun to have someone to encourage.

I worried to death about week 2 and D days have too much eating freedom for me. I do follow the days exactly so I can see exactly how the woe works for me. I was surprised I still lost each week.

I can say I have not had one thing on my junk list. Don't want to tempt myself but also because what i'm doing is keeping the cravings for junk away and I don't want to mess with that.

Kim and Nina hang in there it's gonna happen.

Good night everyone.

I forgot to ask how did everyone do that weighs on Wednesday? I'm a Monday person as I want to get it over with. I've always avoided scales they scare me. My sanity can't take it.

The first 2 days of week 2 are carb down days. A carb down day simply means you can have 1 carb serving before 3:00 p.m. On a baseline day you can have 2 carb servings before 3:00 p.m. Neither day allows for carb servings after 3:00 p.m.

Just in case you are gone longer than 2 days, the week is like this:

Monday, carb down; Tuesday, carb down; Wednesday, baseline; Thursday, baseline; Friday, carb down; Saturday, carb up; Sunday, baseline.

Don't forget to get in all your water while you are gone. Very important.

Have a great trip!
