I laugh now, but was not so nice then. I had a horrible sinus infection and I'm allergic to most antibiotics so I was on sulfur medication (my family calls it my witch medicine). Have a great evening - we are supposed to get down pours tomorrow ![]() |

Alissa and Kelley, missed you guys yesterday. Glad you are both back. Renee did keep everyone on track.
Vladis I did the same thing with the scale. Just bought a digital one and was going to put the dial one away. The digital weighs 2 pounds heavier, or still have the dial one too. I don't have the not hungry problem. I enjoy my meals and am hungry 2-4 hours apart, specially the day after running. Starting week 8 of the C25k tonight. Welcome to all the newbies. Glad to see the board continues to grow. BTW I sent a question to Wendy about Sarena having onions and bell peppers a couple of days on Week 1 and she said not to worry and continue on. Today Sarena called me to tell me she was wearing capri pants she bought but never wore because they were too tight, and now they fit great. NSVs do rock. Eventually we will get it through our head that the number on the scale is not the key. Later. Sara |

![]() NO GUILT WITH FOOD!!! GUILT LEADS TO OVER EATING AND SHAME AND THEN THE CYCLE STARTS OVER AGAIN!!! THERE ARE NO SCREW UPS...JUST LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES! I hear lots of chatter about the "re-gaining" via replenishment of glycogen stores in week 2. Ladies! The glycogen stores you PURGE in week 1 are very unhealthy stores. Sweets, fats, toxic stuff. As we "rebuild" most of the glycogen stores, we are rebuilding the stores with BETTER stuff! Think of the "contents" of a ziplock baggie. It can be filled with loads of Marshmallow fluff (sugar and fat weighing 10 pounds) OR a lesser, smaller, denser amount of GOOD carbs and lean proteins (weighing 4 pounds and taking up MUCH less space ). HUGE DIFFERENCE Insert Kelley's fat versus protein pic here...I would if I could but she has not shared that *secret* with me yet ![]() So please keep these in mind... 1. You will deplete glycogen stores in week 1...these glycogen stores have weight 2. You will rebuild glycogen stores in week 2...and necessarily add back some weight...better weight for a more solid basis in your muscles (where glycogen stores) 3. LOSE THE SCALE! Are you healthier? Are you eating with less guilt? No guilt? Do you FEEL better? I know this can be done...but let go of the scale. I lost 10 pounds in week 1 and then bounced all over the place for several weeks...does it matter today?? Heck no! I am down 15.5# in 12 weeks...and have dropped to a tight 8...good fitting to loose 10 AND I FEEL GREAT AND I EAT FOODS I LOVE!!! ![]() And as an added bonus...I HAVE ALL OF YOU ![]() I only say this 'cause I love you all and want you to find this freedom I know is out there with food and feelings!! ![]()

This one minute muffin recipe was posted with added pumpkin.
1/2 tsp baking powder 1-2 packets splenda 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or I have also use 1/4t cinnamon and 1/4t nutmeg instead. then beat in one whole egg and 2 tbsp pumpkin microwave for 1&1/2-2min I do mine for 2 min. Not sure about the regular muffin. Hope this helps. Sara |

I just came across this quote...

USE ALL OF OUR THREADS
Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know we have several threads (See POST 3) listed and each with its own purpose:
This thread is weekly challenge to come for encouragement, questions, give support and share news There is a menu thread to list your menus for each day and get advice about your menus and also get ideas for meals from others There is a recipe thread to list your favorite recipes and find recipes for your needs. Please remember to post what day the recipe is acceptable for, for all our newbies There is the Exercise thread to log your activity, support, get encouragement and ask questions about exercise. Just wanted to remind everyone where they can go because we are getting lots of repeat questions on recipes, menus, and the WOE and our Mentor Crackers have set up threads to answer all those questions in separate threads to help everyone find the info they are looking for. Of course we are always here to help, but if you need an answer right away it is usually only a thread away

Hi Crackers!
Hi all. Home from work. ugh! I'm tired!
Sara-What a precious child! She looks like a baby doll! Kelley17- I asked this a while back but didn't get any answers from anyone. Should we expect to lose during maintence,(weeks 7&8)? Did you ? Also, someone posted that if you do not excercise on carb up days then you should limit the SA for the last meal. I don't always work out on carb up days but usually excercise 5-6 days per week. dede |

Okay.Thanks. I wondered because the word "maintenance" implies that you would maintain and not lose. So I better get crackin this week and next,(5&6),to see max results! ha! dede

I just tried the one minute muffin (pumpkin version). As my son would say... it was a little weird. Not sure what I was expecting, kindof like a bread pudding.
I can see them being versatile and growing on me. ![]() |

Don't worry, I spent nearly an hour this morning looking for it too. The only reason I found it was because I knew that Dede had posted the pumpkin one and I looked thru her posts specifically. For some reason, I had a hard time finding it. |
