Go on to week 2 and see how you feel, BUT if you have any cravings I would go back and do week 1 again. This is JMHO and maybe Jerri will chime in and say something different.

Here is what i noticed about people who did week 1 to the letter and people who did not (on average) from the beginning (July).

The people who did week 1 to the letter did not have cravings and most of us are still on the plan and enjoying our new lives

The people who fudged on week 1 most of them dropped away before the full 8 weeks were over because the plan 'wasn't working for them'
I should of read farther before responding earlier..

If you are sure you can take it, do it, but if you see yourself becoming discouraged, speak up before chucking this WOE, as it's happened to all of us!!
Did you say you've been on KK? It may take awhile for you to see real movement, as that's a killer (literally) diet, and very low carb- those of us who have low carbed alot have seel a slower loss.
Hi,

Thanks for the encouragement! I quit KK just over 13 months ago and have not seen a steady rate of loss since. I have gone for months eating low carb, weighing myself everyday and not losing anything so it does not discourage me or make me want to go off plan. Once I commit to a plan, I can stick with it even if I gain a few pounds in the process so i am not worried about continuing to weigh myself whenever I want. My lack of weight loss over the past 6 months is not due to being off plan, it is just due to my own stubborn body. I am optimistic that this plan will be the answer to my dilemma so I am committed 150%.

I was just in an 18W when I started, and quickly got back into a 16W. Now I can wear my 14W's, which seem to be about the equivalent of a regular size 16, so maybe I should say I'm down 1 1/2 pants sizes?

I know that my sweet potato fries come out crispier when I bake them at that temp. Let me know what you do and how they are. I'm off to run some errands. See you Crackers later!

Hi Julie! I know you're at church now but I wanted to say hi and that I love the Bible verse you show when you post stuff. It's very uplifting!

Thank you. It, along with lots of prayer, gets me through the tough stuff in life!

Jackie! How are you? I had a WONDERFUL day! I had my chips and homemade salsa for a snack (the chips also had flaxseed in them). They were soooooooo tasty! Then, my family went to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant where they cook right at the table, and I had 2 pieces of California roll sushi, soup, took half the dressing off the salad, and ordered chicken with rice and vegetables. I did what you did at the Olive Garden, took half the meal off my plate and into a carry out carton, and thoroughly enjoyed the rest! That was at about 4:00, and I got home at about 7:00. I was getting hungry again, so I made some regular multigrain toast with a little Smart Balance spread and a small REAL cappucino. I also ate a few Terra Chips (craving salty), and now I feel satisfied. I'll need to drink water the rest of the evening, but I had fun with my family and didn't worry too much about meals. Back to baseline tomorrow, but that's ok, too. I just put my menu on the refrigerator and I have a big pot of smoky black bean soup simmering on the stove.

My sister had a lovely birthday (she didn't mind when I passed on the cake), my mom stayed off my case about my weight (she could tell a difference and was very proud and happy), and my dad was so cute when he asked me where "Julie" was when I got there. He's so sweet and so frail from Parkinsons, but he still has his sense of humor, and he is very proud of the progress I have made.

I'm looking forward to savoring a honeycrisp apple on my carb up day Wednesday.
