Kelliebel – Yeah!
![]() Alissa – Maybe I ate the whole Costco size Brie by myself ![]() Amen sister on the administrators, but really it comes down to NO Child Left Behind – what a joke. Yes all kids no matter disability, language barrier, home life, CAN ALL PAST A STANDARDIZED TEST at the same time – Ridiculous! Students need the basics but should they all be at the same level – heck no. I can’t tell you how many 17 year old 9th graders I see. It is so sad. ![]() As for the squashes. I’m taking Wendy at her word that only beets, carrots, corn, and peas are the veggies that have to wait for CARB UP day. Why because that is an important issue and I think she would have expanded that list to include all veggies. I’ve been eating squash as a veggie at night and it hasn’t effected me. Connie – So sorry about mentioning the brie again – LOVE IT! ![]() Julie – prayers for your surgery and I’m sure you will be fine with a regular carb up day given the no eating the day before. Kate – I feel for you and Alissa, I’m a special education teacher and it takes a teacher who will take the time to figure things out and work with your child. Not saying that most don’t care, just over worked and with this horrible No Child Left Behind they have to get through so much stuff in a small amount a time and hope it sticks. Where I work I get lots of kids who feel so defeated and tell me they are stupid – It makes my day when they have that AHA moment even if it is something little like adding fractions (when they are supposed to be in Alg). For me most students don’t need any math past Algebra 1 or maybe Geometry. I don’t know why we stress these kids out about higher level math when they have no desire to go into a field that requires that higher level math. Sounds like Megan has a great support system – Great Job! The pumpkin shake - I’m going to add some frozen pumpkin to my vanilla protein shake and see how that tastes! Dancing Linda – In a few short weeks everyone will be asking you what you are doing. Yesterday I had a person who I see every morning on my way to work and they stopped me and told me how great I look and wanted to know how I did it! Tam – Hi! Love reading your posts so keep blabbing. No Halloween here, but I think the staff might bring in some candy. My co-teacher and I usually bring in some candy, but I don’t know about this year – these kids have such a sense of entitlement. Passion Flower – Welcome. Depends on what time you go to bed. If you go to bed before Midnight I would keep your starches before 3pm. If I miss starch I just treat it like the day it was, but really plan your meals because the program works by confusing the body so each week has a purpose. By the end of week 3 you will be a pro with the plan. Good Luck! ![]() Dede – Just don’t get discouraged if the scale stops moving or goes in the wrong direction once in a while. ![]() Wendy – Enjoy the sub and pizza tomorrow ![]() OnexOne – I’m so sorry your down and you need to let yourself know you deserve this. Sounds like a little sabotaging going on, is there something keeping you from succeeding? You also seem to have a lot of things on your mind. I don’t think it has anything to do with the food but more with your emotions. Have you tried journaling to get those feelings out rather than turning to food to stuff those feelings down as you said? We can be here to support you and encourage you but if you don’t get what is bothering you out (not necessarily here, but out) it isn’t going to help. I think you are on the right track to grab that workout tape and get a little stress relief that way. I wish I could wave a magic wand and have all those issues disappear, but I can’t. YOU CAN DO THIS!![]() Pam – Hi ya! Yeah for you! I plan to do W5D2 tonight – EEK!![]() Renee – I’m totally with you. ![]() Vladis – Hi, did I forget to tell you I’m taking voodoo classes and instead of voodoo dolls I have voodoo scales. I put each one of your names on them! ![]() Vicki Lynn – I think you would be ok to alternate the shakes as I said before in this economy many of us can’t afford to throw anything out. KUTGW – 1 down 6 to go! I use the extracts all the time in my shakes! One of my favorites is rum in vanilla with nutmeg and cinnamon - YUMMY ![]() Rhonda – Hi, how are you doing??? See my post to VLADIS! ![]() Carla – Yeah 1 down 6 to go! Carla don’t be nervous. I haven’t once used the menus – You can DO IT! Naomi – Hi, glad to see you are still with us. ![]() Kim – Poor baby – I hope everything goes smoothly. Yep – you can make today baseline and tomorrow carb down so you can have your yummy carb up day on Thursday. Linda – great job and I hope your pants fall off too! ![]()

Week 2 Day 2
Wow, I just had the one minute muffin and I'm full. I started adding flax here and there because I needed the fiber. I think I just ate my daily quota. I could eat that everyday.

I think this plan is starting to click.. well a small click -- my bulb is at a flicker..lol I am going to be home alone tonight so I can read the boards and see what I can/ cannot eat what days once I get to week 2. This is so fun to be able to look forward to having a carb.. not like atkins. Need to get my mind off of the atkins mentality and realize it is as Wendy said, not a low carb diet. I think I might get my family eating healthy and they won't know it.
Last night I baked a salmon filet that was the No Name Brand came seasoned, it was spendy but OH so good. I think it will be my treat to have those. Love this WOE so far... hope the scale will too. (yes I am a scaleaholic) |

Had the 1 minute muffin for BKFS- 2 eggs- 3 T. flax, abit of sweetener and cinnamon. Yum- tasted a bit eggy, but was good, hot and filling! Sliced it in three, and put a bit of butter on it. My DS-almost16 said it looked like dog food. Thanks, kid- how would he know?
![]() Had it with a hot cocoa protein shake, and was stuffed afterwards. Usually I have my shake earlier, but it worked out this way- kinda M1 and2 put together...Quote:
Where's the MD from originaly? Yes, I think they are generally warm , friendly people, and I wish people wouldn't label each other . My kids have suffered from this growing up here, but not everyone's like that- I definitely am not, which has helped them..... Quote:

Week 3 Day 2 12lbs lost total
Good afternoon ladies,
My goodness we talk a lot! Welcome Passionflower. Pam Congrats on your loss and Dede you did great! Week 1's only 5 more days to go and you get to see what all your hard work was for. My birthday went without a hitch. We went to an Italian restaurant. The garlic bread they put on the table was the only thing that had my attention. Don't know why, I love spaghetti and pizza but the bread called my name. I simply said I'm on a diet and can't drink liquor yet and ordered chicken with spinach and salad. Ice tea. I was a good girl. I just told myself I promised to do the whole 8 weeks by the letter and I am. The results keep you on it. I've been very good with staying on the WOE. I thought all the going out to eat and stuff everyone brings to share with class would be hard. Then not being hungry just makes saying no easy. Someone passed me a mohito from the end of the table because it was toast me time. I just held the glass and sat it down then gave it to my friend next to me. You can be part of the group and still stay on track without raising too much of a fuss. Hang in there everyone, although I think we are all getting pretty good at this. We might have to drag in some people to help pretty soon. ![]() |

As for squash- I'd love to have some! THere's something here called Dalorit- something like crookneck squash- season's just started, and it's supposed to be a low cal winter squash. It's a great winter food- filling and versatile. If you guys think it's OK.....
So you say pumpkin is also OK??? Quote:

Check the salmon's seasoning- make sure no sugar there.. NOT kidding! check the carb content also![/QUOTE]
Thanks I will do that.. never even thought Usually get just plain salmon and add my own seasoning. Might be what I do. There was only two in the box so if it does I will feed that other one to hubby. |

Oh one good thing about being OOT is I have no scales...hope it is nice to me when I get home. week 3 day 2 |

Dangit, I got on the scale this morning because I just couldn't stand it and my pants feel looser. The number was just stoopid. Winter squash is carby, but it's only about half the carbs of sweet potato and higher in fiber. Maybe that makes it okay. 1 c. pumpkin = 7 net carbs 1 c. acorn squash = 15 net carbs 1 c. sweet potato = 34 net carbs I think I really want some pumpkin soup. It got coooold here last night. |

Argggghhhhh.....my home internet connection is down AGAIN. I promised yesterday that I would go in and check my emails for questions from you guys and I really did try. To be honest, I have not gone on my home computer in several weeks. I'd rather do it from work, where I get paid!
I think that the best thing to do is to send a private message to me if your question can't be answered in this forum. I can answer you and cut and paste my answers in here because I'm fairly certain that if one person has a question, others will also. We'll see how this works. Since I'm one of the people that your email questions to Forever Fit are sent to, your questions probably have a better chance of being answered. I do apologize for my lack of answering your emails. PS, I owe people coaching sessions who bought the DVD also! I'll give you an extra session to make up for it. |

Cocoa - HELP
I was visiting my health foods store yesterday for some WILD salmon and came across this lovely cocoa mix
. It has 1 g of fat (saturated), 2 g of carbs (1 is fiber and 0 sugar), 1 g of protein. Ingredients - 100% organic cocoa powder (no other c...). Question - Is it OK to use it? I'd love to add it to my vanilla protein shake. |

I see questions about winter squash. I do have it on baseline days (lunch). I wouldn't do it on a carb down tho. I put a little bit of splenda on it.
For something different with salmon....last night, I cooked it until it was almost done and spread a little sugar free orange marmalade mixed with a small dab of ginger (from a tube) and a little cayenne. It was really good. |

Ok - my question and I feel its a stupid question but since I don't totally understand yet ....
If the questions on the winter squash and all that, isn't that just considered a carb on days you can have a carb serving with a meal? I thought there wasn't any foods that were "banned"?? ![]() |

hi Jerri,
I ordered the DVD and the planner, recipe book and mini crack the code. Not sure what the coaching you mentioned is about. Ladies I have the recipe book so if you need me to look up something I'll be happy to. I think it would be great for week 1er's as it has different ways to cook eggs and chicken mostly. Did Alissa tell you we measured and keeping go track just in case we make it in Wendy's book about the ones that made it? We are a team here so be ready for a lot of successes. Matter of fact I predict 100%! I'm stewing some chickens for the today and tomorrow so check in later. |

I keep seeing 'hot cocoa' but I have vanilla whatever Robb shake mix so would love to add some cocoa to it too but thought the carbs were too high. I'll check for the special cocoa you got too when I get some flax stuff today. What are the DVD's?? I bought the book on Amazon. Last edited by jmprgrl74; 10-28-2008 at 10:25 AM.. |
