Good Morning Babes!!!!

Wimbledon is dominating our house right now. Can't wait to see The Williams sisters match off, AGAIN!!! And Rafael Nadal is just entirely too hawt not to watch *pants*

Today is my baby boys birthday!!! It is hard for me to imagine that I have a son almost 30... I don't feel like I am old enough for that. DJ is 27 today and I cannot say enough how proud I am of the man he has become

Aliyah is going to watch fireworks from the pier tonight....how awesome would that be? They went shopping at a surf shop yesterday and she bought a swim suit coverup....tie-dyed with a big peace sign on the front. She loves the beach but thinks the ocean is NASTY!!!!

We are going to my in-laws' place today. They live on the water (Puget Sound) on a bay. Everyone out there goes to the Indian reservation to buy fireworks. They set them off from their docks or from the beach, and it goes out over the water. It is the most awesome thing I've ever seen. My BIL's set off fireworks from the dock as well. This year, I sent some money to one of my BIL's for him to buy extra. It's so much fun! There's nothing like having fireworks going off right over your head.

Queeny I am so sorry! I know its hard and to have to go thru this alone is awful. What is the dr saying? And why did they let him leave the hospital? I hate that you can't reach your brother. Can some one maybe go to his house? I wish I was there with you. Try and take deep breaths, inhale then exhale. I know it may sound stupid but I learned to do it when my dad was so bad. I understand how you feel inside, I really do. I remember the shakes and sick feeling and its awful. You poor dear. I will pray for you and papa. I love you and wish it was something I could do to help.

I imagine you are a basket case under so much stress. It's time life gives you a break. Keep in touch to let us know how things are. Hello babes! Here it is 2 am and I am still wide awake. I figured as hard as I worked tonight at the auction I would conk out. NOPE it didnt happen.

Sinny, how is your dad doing? My mom is getting worse every day. I told Ben tonight I am ready for him to take a vacation so I can get away for a while. We can't afford to go far with the gas prices and I sure don't want to make the gas compainies richer either. LOL! My sister wanted us to come to her house in FLorida but we won't make it until the prices drop which may be never. I know one thing. I may not go far but I have got to get away to save my sanity. My bro and his wife will have to tend to mom, which I doubt they do, but it's my turn for a break. We wont be able to take a vacation until after school starts since I will be having katie more, her other grand dad is having open heart surgery next week so they won't be keeping her.

Aliyah is really not having a very good time in Florida and it breaks my heart that she isn't able to take advantage of this trip and have a good time. The friend that she went down there with is not being very nice to her. There evidently are some boys down there that she is trying to impress and she is doing it at Aliyah's expense. Darrell and I talked to her the other day and told her to call her on it when she is doing it and to do so in front of whoever happens to be standing there. Usually when you do that the person will stop.

So last night the texting began.........

Aliyah 8:31pm: I jst kinda slapped courtney in the face.....

Mom: Aliyah!!!! OMG!!!!

Aliyah: She kept punching me in the arm and asking me if it hurt.. So I finally jst turned around and smacked her in the face and asked her if it hurt!

(OMG she is so her mother's daughter)

Mom: So did it hurt?

Aliyah: I guess...she started crying..

Mom: So what else are you doing tonight besides boxing?

KayKay I hear you on those needed breaks................ I want to go back down to see my son but 300.00 in gas is so rediculous. To fly would be 500.00 w/car. I actually would rather pay to fly since they are going that way anyway lol. I feel when I fill my tank up i am just helping to keep the gas prices up. We are really trying to watch how much we use.


Melly I remember those days.......That is such a tricky age. Hope things turn around for her and she enjoys herself.

Teesa - for your grandbaby......we are trying to get our ADHD 14yr old diagnosed with autism as she fits the profile but her doc won't evaluate her.......he admitted that ADHD is in the autistic realm. There's a broad spectrum of autistic disorders...don't think the worst (i know it's hard to do........some of these kids coming in that look like they are autistic are starting to do great things........

Melly - thanks for sharing that video clip. I missed the show but had heard about him performing. I got goose bumps! What a blessing.....he looks like an angel to me!!!

Welcome home Lucki.....how was the trip?

So my sis calls me this morning and she has been at my mama's this weekend. She says she has to go home but that mama is sick and can I check on her. I was planning to go over there anyway so I said sure and then hung up and called my mama.

She said that she felt dizzy no matter if she was up or down and she had been throwing up and had diarrhea. I was more concerned with her dizziness than the other 2 and asked her if she needed to go to urgent care and she said she didn't know...maybe. Well that is so not like her so I got dressed and went and got her.

Long story short......the dizziness was because she was dehydrated and they gave her intravenous fluids....2 bags to be exact. She was actually feeling a bit better after that but the found her blood count to be elevated and gave her antibiotics, potasium and something for nausia. But the part that got both of our attention was that her sugar glucose was elevated significantly and the doctor said after having the diarrhea and vomiting it should be low. He wants her to ask her primary care doctor to screen her for diabetes. Her eyes got huge, as did mine. In fact I asked him to repeat it. My mama is fairly healthy and doesn't get sick often but she is overweight. We watched my father die from diabetes and know how serious it is. His was brought on by being overwight later in life. And actually watching my daddy was what made me decide to lose weight when I found lowcarb and this site.

So I brought her home with me and she is going to stay here for a couple days so I can wait on her and make sure she is eating and eating correctly and drinking plenty of fluids.

I cooked dinner and she was examining my plate quite closely and said she was going to search the internet for a diabetic eating program. I looked at her and said......are you kidding me right now? What do you think lowcarb is? I gave her my book to read......I think I have recruited another one

Thanks, Lucki. Wow I didn't know that ADHD and autism were connected. I've heard of asperger's as being a mild form of autism though. Well they were over this weekend and he really seems pretty normal other than the little buggar refuses to talk AND the fact that he RUNS everywhere he goes and never stops . The evaluation (through the school district) didn't really reveal much. They just said he was "behind" and want to put him in a once a week class. I just love him to pieces and hoping he is just speech delayed and nothing more serious.

I would love to hear about your trip as well. Did you get to see the San Diego zoo? It is awesome!

Melly Sorry your DD is not having a good time on the trip. What a bummer! Hope your mom doesn't get a diagnoses of diabetes!!!!! I watched my dad suffer and die with it.

Sinny Gas prices are insane! Where will all this end? Then it drives up food prices and everything else.

Babes, we were in a fender bender today. We were leaving to go eat and my DH backed out of the driveway right into a car parked behind us . Didn't damage my car too badly but dented up the other one pretty good. He exchanged insurance info and all that with the person who was visiting our neighbor across the street who's car it was. Don't ya just hate when that happens
