Stuck to M/E yesterday except for supper. I had cheesy crackslaw. I lost .6 yesterday so I am officially at 226. That makes my total for this week 3.8.
Maggie- Great job on the 5 pounds! What an inspiration you are! Zer-Hey, I am going to play 15:15 right now!! |

Oh Yeah, one more thing..I put a pair of shorts on this morning that I couldn't even attempt to get close enough to button a couple months ago. I may not wear them in public because I have a little muffin top going on, but, Hey, I EARNED that little muffin top, so I am wearing them today while I play 15:15! So all ya'll that are going to be playing 15:15 with me, just know I am looking mighty sexy in my duds!

Hi everyone,
Just reading through this thread and see that is popular. I have been trying the meat and egg for a few days and have lost 4 pounds in four days. My menu has been less strict perhaps then it should be but it typically looks like this: B- coffee with cream/half and half and sweetzfree L- 2 eggs fried in butter and a lean burger D- 2 or 3 scrambled eggs in butter and steak, roast or pork chops S- Iced coffee with cream and a cocount akins endulge bar So far I am losing but was wondering about opinions on the atkins bar it keeps me satisfied but I know it is not really allowed. I also lift weights a few times a week and do light cardio. Also my meats and butter are organic. The meat for the most part is purchased by a local farmer near me. I am a little low on energy. Does this feeling pass or do I need to move on to veggies soon? Thanks Jeanie |

Speckle and Shari~ what size are those black halter sundresses? I am going to get one at summer sales and hang it in my closet where I see it when I open the drawer to grab my soon-to-be-replaced fat pants!!! Its been soooo long since I was 165 I think I was a 10/12 dress or between a large/medium?
Kandi! Congrats on zipping up those size smallers! I can relate to the "muffin tops" That upper part is going down to!! Then you can wear a tight t-shirt and sit down and breath all at the same time!! How to fun to wear them around today and get used to that size! Happy Saturday on track and determined!!

Day 2 M&E
I probably could have been a little more strict on my plan yesterday, so maybe I should call today day 1? I didn't actually decide to start m&e until after I ate breakfast yesterday (scrambled eggs, bacon crumbles, cheddar). And I had 3 Mich Ultras last night... Anyway! Today is a new day, and I'm determined to stick with it.
So far I've had 3 scrambled eggs and sausage for my brunch. I've started running some again, so I think I'll go puff it out on the treadmill at the gym instead of in the 101 degree southern heat! I hope everyone is having a great Saturday! It's good to be back here.

Hi Mishelly~My halter top is a size 12. I'm 5'4. I too have a particular pair of pants that is my goal to get in again. They're a size 12 (I also wore this also when I weighed 172). I've hung them on my closet door so I can see them first thing in the morn and last thing at night!!
![]() Weighed in today at 189!! So that's 5lbs since Thursday..I was really carbed up!! Don't really know my beginning weight on Tuesday (day I started M/E) as I was too chicken to see the damage I'd done over the past weekend visiting family. Congrats Kandi on the shorts fitting!! YES that feeling does pass. Just hang in there. Some don't even suffer from it, some are over it in 3-5 days. I have heard of VERY few who suffer for 2 weeks. You will be amazed at how much more energy you have once your body adjusts. WAY more than when you eat carbs. KUTGW my friends...and stay cool!! PlayGround access...after 60days of LCFriends activity?
Maybe ask mods what blocks or allows access to PlayGround?

Just wondering...
Okay, maybe - just MAYBE - access is limited to those who post 60 posts WITHIN 60 days? Just guessing. Ask mods, so we all know for sure. Sorry to be teasing y'all with 15:15 playgroup and y'all hit a wall when you try the link. Still, you can set your timer for 15mins and tackle some humongous chore that will be so DONE when the timer DINGS! It enables me to begin jobs that I'd never ever know how to begin doing. Try it!

I AM HOME!! DD & family got home around 10:00pm and then DD came home with me and helped me get my "stuff" in my apt. It is SO good to be home. Whoever said, "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home" sure knew what they were talking about. I get to sleep in my own bed tonight. How cool is that? Although, I do like her bed. But.....I have mild to middle animal allergies, and they have 2 dogs and 2 cats so I was pretty miserable by morning every day. It's so NICE to be home!!!

Thanks Zer...I will definitely give it a try.
home Judy!Great idea taking your measurements Maggie. You will be very glad you did. This program is best for inch loss even when the scale doesn't show much. It is 7:30 in the morning and I have done my laundry and 30 minutes of weeding in the garden. Small steps with big rewards! Am still sticking to plan. Ate more calories yesterday being home, but weight held. That is my pattern, lose one day and hold the next. I think it is my body settling into the new weight so it will be for good and harder to gain past. Will be studying more today on how to interview well. Found some bargain clothes yesterday, but they don't quite fit yet...a bit tight. Besides that, my interview is at 2PM and I will be working all day until. Don't want to look phony and dress totally different from when I work the position filling in. Just going for functional, professional, representing the company well and looking nice...nothing fancy. Being myself is key since they already know me so well and I am sure I have spent time with each of the interviewers already. Want to show that I am serious about the job while not being fake. Make sense? Have a great day to all who check in after this!

Hello everyone,
I would love to join you! I lost over 120 pounds back in 2002-2003 and have since gained back 50ish pounds due to several reasons I've been trying to get back on track since June and have had no success. I've done induction perfectly this week and I'm up again I'm going to try the meat and egg fast in hope of getting the scale moving again.Do you guys think that low carb can stop working? Maybe I had my golden shot? I really need some support as my weight is really getting out of hand again ![]()

Good morning ladies,
Yes Lynn, what you're saying makes sense. I think the position is already yours as you've already worked with them and they know how strong your work ethic is. I don't think they would interview you if they weren't seriously considering you for the job. Good luck (but I know you'll do well)!! ThinAgain08!! WOW 120lbs lost is amazing!! I find that I don't lose as fast as I did when I initially started LC but the plan does work. You will lose weight again, just stick to it!!! M/E definitely has moved the scale downward for me when I've hit a stall doing induction. In the past, I found that when the scale isn't moving that's when I'm losing inches. I'm a scale ho( ) so I understand frustration with fluctuations, but try not to let it discourage you. Just stick to it and you will be rewarded with a loss soon!! Thanks MAgieDen!! Glad you had a safe trip Parisfox!! Yup, there's nothing like home!! ![]() Trying to get motivated to exercise again today. I did 3miles yesterday on the treadmill. Not sure I'll do that many today but even 1 mile is better than nothing... anyone who comes in later!! |

Randi and ! M/e is great! Thanks Shari. I am trying to be positive without getting too invested until there is an offer. I wouldn't want to fall hard if things don't work out. Morning everyone!
![]() Lynn: Good luck on your interview. . .you're so prepared you'll do great! ThinAgain: Welcome! This is a great place for support. . .M/E should be super heplful in getting you into a nice ketosis! Maggie: Good for you on taking those measurements. . .I keep saying that I'm going to do it, but I NEVER have! I have no idea how many inches I am anywhere?!? Shari: Awesome on the exersice. . .I need to get my butt moving more. . . .I like to power-walk, but then when it rains (like today) I find it an easy excuse to do nothing. Zer: You are doing so well! I DID find you guys in the 15:15 room yesterday. . .I joined one quick session and then we ended up going school clothes shopping (me and the 2 DS's. . .never again, the both of them at the same time ). So I never got back there. I'm gonna hit that room up more often, though. I need that kind of motivation!Paris: YAY on being home! Welcome home. Are your allergies better now? Speckle & vli: You're on your way! Keep it up!! Angie: You're so funny! While we were out shopping yesterday we got to the point of being pretty hungry, so I got the boys a little snack, but was strapped as to what I could get. . .I ended up with some peanuts, and was thinking the whole time, "What would Angie think?" Well, yesterday I was up .4 but I went back down this morning by a pound. So that makes my loss since Monday 6.6 pounds. So I'm still making progress. . .I still have about 6.5 more pounds to go until I hit virgin fat territory, and THIS time I'm actually optimistic that I'll get there! Yesterday's menu (for anyone new-ish here, I am NOT a strict M/E-er right now. . .I'm doing Atkins 72 induction--well, trying to--so don't be upset with me when you see my menus. . . B: coffee w/ hc, coconut oil, DaVinci's and protein powder L: avocado/HB egg/mayo salad S: a handful of peanuts, then a HB egg before dinner D: chicken salad (dark and light meat, mixed with mayo) S: coconut oil mud (CO, protein powder, Davinci's) My goal is 15 more pounds by the time I go back to school! What's yours? Have an awesome day!! WCBL. . .

Good morning....It was so nice waking up in my own bed this morning.
![]() Now to unpack and put all my stuff away. I took my dirty clothes with me and did my laundry over there. Did it again yesterday before I came home, so now it's done for the next month. I only go to the laundromat once a month. When I retired, I bought enough undies, socks, and casual clothes that I can go 6 weeks without doing laundry. It's great. I do try to go around once a month though, or there's too much and it's more difficult to get it in the apt. I have put the laundry away, now to put the rest of the stuff away. It's going to be a hot one here today, but not as bad as some places. I've heard 98* and 100*. Don't know which one it will be, but either one is hotter than I like. The humidity is not horrid, but it's bad enough. It's already 86* and it's not even noon yet. Thanks, Lynn....I think you have the interview under control. What you posted makes a LOT of sense. Realistic optimism is a good idea. Nothing is written in stone before it happens. ...ThinAgain...You've come to the right place for support. You did it before, and you can do it again. The older you get, the slower it comes off, so get it off now while you are young. Keep coming here and you'll make your goal. Then keep coming here to inspire others and keep yourself accountable so you don't gain it back. As Lynn says, "Nothing tastes and looks as good as thin feels." ...Shari...You are so right. This WOE DOES work....IF you stick with it. ![]() Andrea....Yes, my allergies are sighing in relief. I wasn't stuffed up this morning when I woke up. Gotta go put some more of my "stuff" away.
