Good morning everyone!

I am down another pound which is exciting, I exercised and got in a ton of water yesterday. Not too hard when it is so hot and humid here.

Glad to see everyone posting. I am only 8 days from vacation and I just can't wait to get out of here. I will probably end up doing more Atkins (fat) when I am gone. Just can't resist bacon when I'm on vacation

My DH ended up hurting his back and they told him he has "dumb butt" too funny but awfully painful. One shot of Tordol and at least a week of phyiscal therapy should have him better in no time. It is really hard to keep everything up and get ready for vacation. I am trying to keep myself away from the snacks as I tend to find comfort in anything sweet & salty.

Have a great day everyone! KUTGW

I've been divying around the challenge board today since I haven't been around it for a long time...

I remember when I was first introduced to the meat & egg fast a few years back after I was stalled at a certain weight for quite awhile & couldn't break under. Someone suggested the meat & egg fast to me and told me that a loss of 3 to 5 lbs in 3 days would mean that I was eating too many carbohydrates. Wouldn't you know it? I ended up dropping 7 lbs in 3 days on meat & eggs. I was utterly shocked after trying everything-that the meat & egg is what got me to break my plateau. But I used more fat-not less fat-when doing meat & eggs. Actually, I think all I ate over those 3 days was eggs (not even meat) fried in butter.

So I thought I'd drop over here & let those of you who can't seem to be getting over a plateau or can't seem to be losing on M/E-if you're eating less fat-you might try eating more fat. That was the trick that worked for me. (and I was only 17 lbs away from goal at that time)

And wouldn't you know it also? I still have all the rules for the protein fast (as it was called back then) saved in my Inbox in my e mail-along with answered questions regarding the protein fast.

If any of you would be interested in all that stuff-I'll be more than happy to pull it up & paste it here.

I'm Back!

Good Morning Everyone!

I meant to post yesterday but I had SOOO much stuff to take care of from the trip, put away bags, pick up and take care of pets and plants, go grocery shopping, clean up the house, pick up held mail, lots of phone calls, and the list goes on and on!
I managed to stay on plan easily, which is weird after 2 weeks of crazy eating!
Today I have an interview, but plan to exercise a little before leaving, that, along with on plan eating should get rid of a few pounds...
My trip was TERRIFIC, enjoyed a lot in Puerto Vallarta...Food was a buffet for breakfast, another for lunch and another for dinner...Besides a Chinese and an Italian a-la-carte restaurants! yikes! Needless to say, I DID NOT stay on plan...I ate tons of stuff I had not eaten in years! And didn't really feel guilty about it...
I thought I had gained around 10-12 pounds, but much to my surprise I only gained 5.5!!!! and lost 1 yesterday...even with T.O.M.
So...the damage wasn't as big as expected, keep in mind 2 weeks eating countless carbs and way over 2500 calories I deserved a lot more, but thankfully didn't get them...
I just read thru everyone's posts real quick, sorry to see so few, but glad that the "old ones" keep posting, even when off-plan, thanks!

Gracie: You look Gorgeous on your new avatar! Congrats on your loss! About the HIIT, I DO feel nauseous some times, especially the firsts few days, but didn't throw up...I do mine on the threadmill 1.5 minutes walking 0.5 minutes runnig as fast as I can go... It has DEFINITELY help speed up and repair my metabolism from all the damage done at first...Feel free to ask me anything else!

Marylin: Answering an old question, I used to eat around 6 eggs each day at first, with 2 of my meals, but then I started getting horrible stomach aches right after eating them....I stopped and the pain ceased... I've now started eating them again, but not every day, and very well cooked...I prefer egg beaters and whites....Congrats on the 7 pounds!!

Paris: You had some great losses from the 13-17!!! so even if you maintain the rest of the month, it's worth it! K.U.T.G.W!

Lynn: Good luck on your job...and yes, once you start doing something good for your health again, you'll feel better each day...inside and out..

Grandmak: I also remember you! you've done great, so don't beat yourself up and just keep on going...I don't need to tell you here you'll have all the support needed, and we'll also appreciate all your advice!

Mommy22boys and Browneyes: Good to see you ladies!!!

Cat: You're very close to goal and I know you must look great, just keep up the exercise and TRY to stay off that scale at least a few days a week! It worked for me before vacation...I just focused on toning up, feeling my body, not looking at the scale...

I know I'm missing lots of people, but my post is already huge, and I took longer than expected...so I'll talk to you all later, thanks for reading!

Take Care!

RULES FOR THE PROTEIN FAST:

* Protein only (lean for best results) - side note from Dyan: I did better eating higher fat-not cheese & cream but butter
* Skip unnecessary fats like cheese and cream
* Skip alcohol (yes, all forms!)
* Skip junk protein like pepperoni and pork rinds
* Drink diet beverages and plain coffee & tea as desired
* Use artificial sweeteners as desired
* No calorie counting
* No cheating (it's 3 days!)
* Eat a Centrum type vitamin each day

Technically this is only a 3-day experiment intended mainly to get the
person into deep ketosis when one can learn what ketosis means in terms of
how they feel. It should also help people decide whether they were
previously doing the right thing for them or whether they should adjust
their carb intake.

For people who had been consuming a high level of carbs it might take a
little longer than 3 days to see some results (i.e. till they deplete li
glycogen in the liver.) When the Experiment is over one may decide which
route to take for continued weight loss, that is, what LC eating plan they
wish to follow. However, if vitamin supplements are regularly taken, the
"experiment" can be continued until reasonably close to goal.

The basics of the Experiment

The purpose of the "experiment" is to show how 'real' ketosis feels ... no
appetite, excellent weight loss. That the carbs are very, very low or 0 is
key. This is what Dr. A was talking about in Induction! When we severely
restrict carbs, our bodies (who DON'T want to use body fat for energy!),
will go to the glycogen in our livers. When that's used up (3 days roughly),
it's like a flood gate is opened and our bodies give up a lot of extra water
... that's the 3-7 pounds people lose in the first few days.

The idea of the 3 day experiment is to show what 'real' ketosis feels like.
Keep in mind that if someone is carbed-up (especially if they do it on
purpose), they may need 5 days to get rid of the excess glycogen in their
liver.

After you're in ketosis, GRADUALLY slip into the LC program of your choice.
Naturally, the fewer carbs the better the loss. Lower calorie choices will
provide faster loss than higher calories.

BUT ... you want to make it livable for your lifetime. Any of us can fall
back on pure protein to make up for a lax weekend. You're harming your body
when you assault it with sugar (carbs) ... which, chances are, aren't coming
from nutritious, high antioxidant sources ... more like good 'ol comfort
food.

For the 3-5 days, skip the extra fats (cheeses). When you begin switching to
a LC plan, watch the cheese as the calories really add up quickly
Yeah, dairy sounds innocent but the choices on LC are essentially fats with
double the calories of protein or carbs.

Eat as much as you like, drink as much as you like and absolutely use
protein as a snack!

For purposes of this experiment, skip the .6 carb count in eggs.

What to Expect

People who are on Day 3 and haven't lost, you may be the few that need to go
5 days to deplete your glycogen (think back to what you ate before you
started the 3 Day). The weight loss will come, and impressively.

Other 'slow' losers, wait one more day, when you see the big WHOOSH (like
others have posted), then you know the glycogen is gone. And we should keep
in mind digestive issues ...

Ahhhh, that's the thing! If you were at 20-30 carbs, then give it 1-2 more
days. When you see the 2 lb WHOOSH, you're on your way! Interesting trivia
is that on this BB, the largest percentage of people who 'stall' after
Induction are at 25-30 carbs. You will lose even more if you're exercising
(you'll also achieve ketosis faster because your body is yanking the
glycogen out of your liver!) It's a good thing!

Using the Experiment as a benchmark

Reminder ... weigh yourself on Day 2. If you've lost more than 3-5 pounds,
you were over on carbs before. Keep in mind that if you lost 3+ pounds in
the 3 days, you were over on carbs before ... something to keep in mind when
picking carb choices!

Note to the 'hungry' folks. This is a sure sign that you were over on carbs
before. Everyone keep in mind that your body DOES NOT want to convert to
body fat for fuel! Your body always wants to take the easy route, which is
sugar (carbs). This is why when people first do Induction (or this 3 day
thing), they feel tired, cranky, have cravings ... their brain is sending a
HARD message that it wants fuel, NOW. Those who stick with Induction without
caving in are rewarded with ketosis, weight loss and reduced appetite ...
their bodies have SUCCESSFULLY converted to burning body fat! Now, those
folks who 'relax' on weekends send their bodies back to Square 1 and
cravings. These are also the people who 'feel better' after eating carbs and
mistakenly think their bodies 'need them'. Wrong. Their bodies wanted sugar
and they obliged ... vicious cycle.

That you're still hungry on Day 3 would mean that you were "over" on
carbs before you started and your body is still processing them. Your
glycogen isn't depleted yet. Wait 2 more days, check your loss and wait for
the appetite suppression.

How much to eat

Don't eat until you get hungry (mildly hungry, don't wait until you're
starving!) Don't count calories, don't cut back on quantities ... EAT if
you're hungry

Don't cave in with a "taste" of carbs. You'll be back at square 1. Again.

Don't worry about the protein/glucose conversion. Want proof? Look at how
much you'll lose in 3 days. . if you're hungry, eat! Just avoid ANY and all
CARBS!

no cheese! Protein only

Liquids

Drink what your body tells you. Some people find they are more thirsty in ketosis (Don't force liquids, drink what you need. If you're keeping with ONLY
protein & NO carbs, yes, drink diet soda until your eyes fall out of their
sockets)

Foods to eat and foods to avoid

Eat eggs until they ban you from the store, LOL! Eggs are an incredible,
edible food!

Watch for an appetite change when you wake up tomorrow ... remember, no carbs! If you can, skip the mustard and soy sauce for now. If you can't, use the least amount possible. Avoid the pork rinds, they're very high calories and you can snack away more than you intended.

Don't worry about the carbs in the eggs ... those are the 'innocent' ones
that come naturally with protein.

Yes, use the fat you normally use for cooking. But try to avoid "extra"
fats as in whipped cream or cream cheese because they tend to end up as high calorie desserts ... appetite or not!

Bathroom issues

Most peole don't like the side effects of laxatives (cramping, working "too well" , etc.) milk thistle has an excellent laxative effect ... perfect, actually.

What to do after the Experiment

After the 3 days, you can either stay on protein ... or transition to Atkins
Induction (or whatever program you're following).

You need to keep your carbs very low after the 3 days or you'll get out of
ketosis!

From a health standpoint, you would be OK as long as you take supplements to
compensate for the veggies/fruits you aren't eating ... ditto on straight
Atkins or Stillman's.

You want to begin adding veggies when you're within 20 pounds of goal so you
can practice making food choices and not be overwhelmed

After the 3 days you can decide what you want to do:

1) Continue on protein & naturally occurring fats until close to goal

2) Begin adding SMALL servings of very low carb veggies

3) Go to Atkins Induction (but depending on your definition of "Induction",
this can backfire!)

Yes, more than 3 days is fine. Be sure to take a Centrum type vitamin each
day.

Absolutely introduce your carbs slowly when you begin. Try a SMALL salad at
lunch, another at dinner type of thing. Slowly work your way up to however
fast/slow you want to lose

If you keep your carbs VERY VERY low, you'll stay in this state of "no
hunger" and rapid weight loss ... if that's what you want (not everyone
does!)

Going to LC treats will almost guarantee your quick departure from Ketosis
Central ... something to consider.

Nothing about the "experiment" can backfire. What you're doing is keeping
carbs very, very low (or non existent). For people who have a difficult time
losing, Dr. Atkins advised reducing carbs to 15 or 10 ... "or for especially
difficult cases, 0 carbs".

Check your scales! If you've lost weight (4-5 pounds or
more ... yes, water weight, but who cares!) ... you're in ketosis

Ah, just what I've been looking for!

Thanks for the refresher on what to use for a M/E menu. Been looking for this! Love my HB eggs, as a snack and as a contemplative food. So spiritual, the incredible edible egg, with its golden yolk so rich in fats and nutrients!

I've had a horrid day fighting with UPS over a lost package that they picked up for return delivery and are now saying they don't have. Since it's a $500 special order motorcycle seat being returned to the guy who made it for the wrong bike, it isn't something that I can just say, "Oh, well....whatever." It is NOT easy to deal with those people. I keep getting shuttled from one to the other with no good results so far. Now I'm waiting for yet another return call from them....supposed to be sometime this evening. This SUCKS!!!

Now on to the GOOD stuff. I was DOWN 1 lb this morning. Since I have been so stressed out today, I just realized I haven't had my usual lunch shake or anything else other than some decaf coffee. Hmmmm.....maybe I'll lose some more. I'm glad I'm not a "stress" eater.

Karen...I have maintaining down pat. My problem is I need to lose this 50 lbs or so BEFORE I start maintaining. Your plan sounds like a good one. It's just that "life" keeps getting in the way, doesn't it? Good luck.

Zer....Nice to see you back....where have you been?

Cat....Congrats on the loss. Enjoy the vacation. Sorry about your "dumb-butt" husband. Sorry, I just couldn't resist. I really am sorry that he's in pain. That's no fun.

dae__tona....Thanks for posting that. I'll save it. I had forgotten some of that.

Angie......back!! Sounds like you had a good time. And you are right less than 6 lbs in 2 weeks is amazing. You'll have that back off in no time. Congrats! You must tell us all the wonderful things you did and maybe post some pics???

Marilyn....

Gotta run. Heading for the grocery store....steaks are on sale!!

Been dealing with UPS about a pkg they misdelivered on the school property (instead of bringing it to MY bldg, same address) and got some nice email from UPS corporate acknowledging the misdelivery. Local ofc is stonewalling. Netrition just sent a replacement pkg. I am sure the "lost" pkg will show up in the fall, when someone finds it stuffed away with other boxes. Meanwhile, I suggest you do emails with UPS corporate, to get some action from your local UPS ofc. I think it helped, some, in my case.

Got busy. Still weighing. Still working toward targets. Weight comes off an ounce or two at a time, while all the UPWARD bOunCes are by the pound. Go figure! Anyway, I'm mostly satisfied with eating canned salmon, tuna and sardines for my major protein. Eggs, too. Am getting into naked HB eggs. Am weaning myself from eating buckets of mayo too. I'm CHANGING me!

Hired an in-home helper to come in a few hours a week, run errands, pick up mail and groceries. Ultimate goal is to de-clutter this room, prepare to shift to a simpler lifestyle. Hope that letting go of clutter and memorabilia gives me impetus to let go of this fat that I've been hiding inside for 35yrs. Yes, I feel as if I put on a Fat Suit and forgot where the zipper works. It's not ME! That's a real breakthrough. I'm starting to believe there's a Thin Me inside!

Good morning...had a night making truffles and fudge for the going away party of our senior medical officer today. Working with chocolate is a pain in the heat so the truffles look odd, but will taste great. Not a great project for my diet, but...

Have a great day all!

Congrats Zer! How inspiring. I am very happy for you.

Welcome Back Angie! ~ Glad you had a great time and with such minimal weight gain, awesome. Hope I can do the same. As far as the scale I will be away from it for almost three weeks maybe I can break the habit????:

Paris ~ the "dumb-butt" thing is so hillarious, but I did tell him not to tell any friends as it will haunt him for many years He is in incredible pain and they now think it could also be a disc (sp?) that is out. Not good just a week from vacation. Might have to do all the driving myself Good luck with UPS

Zer ~ Loved your post! What you said was very inspiring not only for weight loss but for the die-hard pack rats

To everyone else, lynn, marilyn, dae_tona, karen & kim: Have an awesome day!

I was DOWN 0.8 of a pound this morning, so that's a good way to start the day.

Homemade Truffles.....YUMMO!!! I'm glad there aren't any around here.

Nobody with any sense wants to go to court, so I'm sure you will find UPS eager to work out your lost pkg. Sent you PM/IM - and hope you get satisfaction. Surely there is a tracking number that UPS can trace to discover where your pkg went missing.

I decided to do this up till Friday. Then on Saturday, I am going to add a salad at lunch & a salad at dinner. I'm feeling so much better since dropping my carbs back down. And my belly is getting flatter. Yea! And I've lost three pounds in two days doing this. As short as I am, I know I have the potential to weigh less than I do. I'd really like to get myself back down to 120 lbs. That's where I was before I tried other things that just did not work for me. And then maybe see where I will go from there. I felt my best at 107 but I'm not willing to starve myself to get there. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get there-except starving myself.

Hi...

I'm house/dog/cat sitting for my oldest DD until Aug. 4th. So far the dog-sitting part has just reaffirmed the fact that "I don't want a dog." I am sitting with 2 dogs and 2 cats. The cats are no trouble. Cats hardly ever are. Dogs are a different story. Don't get me wrong. I DO like dogs...I just don't want to own one anymore.

They have a thoroughbred Westie (Jasmine) and a Border Collie/Rotweiler mix (Stormie). They are both good dogs....especially Stormie.

HOWEVER....about 1/2 hour before my DD & family left town yesterday afternoon, Stormie started limping on her left hind leg. Not too bad, just a slight limp. DD examined the leg and the foot (the foot with a magnifying glass even) hoping that Stormie had just stepped on something. Couldn't find a thing. By the time we went to bed last night, she was hopping on the foot...not putting much weight on it at all. I have a vet appt. at 1:30 this afternoon.

About an hour ago Jasmine, the Westie, threw up. And of course, ON THE RUG!!!

This is a REALLY fun day. Got to go prepare my car so I can put Stormie in the back seat. FUN....fun....fun.

Looks like it's pretty quiet in here. Hopefully, I'll get back later. If not, see ya tomorrow!!

Happy Friday!

Good Friday afternoon Ladies!

I finally took it upon myself to get on the scale this last Monday, knew I had gained but had no clue as to how much.....well.......I was up 10 pounds and got the reality check I was after. I have lost all but 3 of the pounds and realized I need to weigh more often and this eating off plan is not going to happen again in the near future. As I said at the beginning of the month I wanted to lose 10 pounds before the 1st of August.....well I have since changed that goal to Sept. 1st and I am going to try my best to get there! I am back on track and am planning on staying there!

Zer-Hugs to you........I always look forward to reading your post! You are going to succeed at this, as I can see how deteremined you are. Good luck to you and keep up the great work! You truly are an inspiration!

Paris-You crack me up with the dogs stories. Bless your heart as I can just imagine what you are going thru. We have 3 dogs at dads, my 2 and his one and it can be quite comical at times. Since we have moved here the dogs follow me around and rarely do I get out without them knowing it. I will also say they both seem much happier, my St. Bernard is loving it as he has been on a chain to go out since he was 6 weeks old, he can now freely roam the yard and enjoy not having a chain.....I call it his retirement home as he turned 9 this past April! Good luck to you and remember this too shall pass!

Lynn-Home made truffles....yummy. I made my dad a peach pie complete with with home made crust this morning......looks great altho I will not be eating any...as I tell him I am living vicariously thru him!

dae-tona-Thanks for the run down on meat and eggs. Glad you have joined us and are having success with the M/E! It does work and I am living proof of that!

Cat, Angie, Gracie, Marilyn and anyone esle I am missing....

Have a great weekend ladies! As always, be happy and keep smiling!

Good Afternoon everyone:

Sorry I've been MIA, I haven't been home these past 2 days...On Wednesday I was dying to report a 3 pound loss (I exercised 15HIIT the day before) and then yesterday I lost another pound, this time without the workout...unfortunately I overate yesterday and had a bunch of delicious grapes, so this morning I saw a 0.7 lb gain...no biggie...So far so good today, although no exercise, I'm in a lot of pain due to TOM, and I know exercise helps, but I just don't feel any energy at all...I won't pressure myself, and start on Sunday (bicycle day) and then a few days next week...
The reason I'm using the scale everyday is because of all the gain from the vacation...I don't want to stop using it until I lose the rest of that vacation weight...
Anyway, sorry I don't have any time left to address anyone in particular, but I read you all!
Have a great weekend and lets KUTGW!

I'm getting too old for this. Stormie is a GREAT dog, but is NOT leash trained and she is super strong. Fact is, she would have made a good sled dog. I used to volunteer at the local Humane Society, but had to stop because the dogs were just too much for me....especially the bigger ones...and since I was an adoption counselor, I couldn't very well stick to just little dogs. I tried doing "cats only," but I have cat allergies (not really bad but when I get around BUNCHES of them, I suffer). It broke my heart to have to stop, but that's life, I guess.

The vet couldn't find anything wrong with her either except tenderness in the hip area. He gave me some anti-inflammatories for her. Thank goodness she takes pills with no problem. Thinks they are treats!! I have to keep her on those for 7 days and if she isn't better by next Tuesday take her back for x-rays. I can't remember how old she is, but she's starting to gray around the muzzle so maybe it's just arthritis. Well, I guess I shouldn't say "just" arthritis. That can be very painful. I know, believe me.

Am having pork chops and some cabbage fried with bacon for dinner. Sounds good and now I'm hungry!! But I'll wait.

See ya later.

Good morning....Where is everybody???

Stormie seems better so maybe it is inflammation and the pills will take care of it. Now to keep her "quiet" for 6 days. Yeah, right. Although she really isn't bad. But she's going to wonder why I keep telling her to go lay down instead of playing with her.

Have a good day, everyone. Oh, and my gain from yesterday's insanity was just 1 lb. Hopefully, no more is hiding out ready to jump me tomorrow. Today WILL be on plan!!

Hip displasia...

As I confront my 2yr anniversary of a badly dx'd pinched or hinky hip that hurts 24/7 and that challenges me when I rise to go anywhere at all, I am reading up on hip displasia that afflicts some breeds of large dogs. My HMO MDs have not examined my hip/groin area, but seem satisfied to stethascope my chest as if it will somehow reveal what is going on in my left hip/groin area. Make sense? Makes no sense at all to me, so I am heading back to the HMO, after taking off time to see if Mother Nature can repair whatever I did to myself by sitting in a difficult position with left foot flat on floor next to the bed my right leg was on. Apparently that position allowed a shallow hip socket to relax and allowed a bit of tender tissue to be trapped as I arose and walked about. OUCH! I spent a year and more of OUCHing to HMO MDs and to a couple of chiropractors, one of whom DID relieve the pain a bit by pressing deep into pillowy thigh/knee to trick nerves into lying - or at least 'forgetting' to relay a pain msg to my OUCH center. All of this is to say, that hip pain is a really awkward pain. I'm sorry your doggie is having hip problems and I hope you find a remedy - soon!

Good morning, ladies....

Where is everyone? Looks like you all are busy. Check in....it doesn't take that long and it does help.

I talked to my DD last night. They are having a wonderful time in Oregon. I wish I were with them. It is pretty boring here....I can only be gone for 1/2 a day as the dogs have to be let out to go potty. Just another reason I don't have a dog. They do tie one down....and there aren't many places that we can take them except to a park. It's not like France where they go everywhere....including restaurants. The only dogs that can go everywhere here are service dogs (for the blind, etc.).

Not much going on here....so I guess I'll check back later and hope someone has checked in.

See ya....

Midday check-in...

Still running on my morning WPP 43gProtein, but plan on eating some HB eggs and a few ounces of liverwurst that are in the fridge. Not sure what else I'll eat as I work with the wknd 15:15 playgroup at the PlayGround here at LCFriends. Saturday and Sunday too are full of contact as we report back in on what we are accomplishing in handling home chores and excavating (that's me) years of accumulated papers and books that eat up airspace. This is my 3d wknd and I can see some significant changes. I'm hoping that de-cluttering will help me to let go of weight that I seem to be hanging on to. Letting go...as a way of life! Isn't that a great goal?

Here's hoping everyone is having a purposeful wknd and looking forward to a week in which food will play less of a role. Food is just fuel, right? RIGHT!!!

Zer, I am a packrat/clutter bug too and would love to hear more about how you are getting through your piles. We have accumulated so much stuff with all the military moves and the basement and all areas of the house have clutter, piles or boxes of some kind. I would love to hear a plan that works!

Happy Monday

Good Monday morning ladies! I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend!

I officially have 3 weeks left of summer break and then it is back to school. I have had a great summer and plan on enjoying what time I have left!

I stuck to my guns last week and am still trying to lose a couple of the 10 pounds I gained from pure ignorance. I will hopefully see a loss this week. I am due in court mid August for the grounds hearing and that in itself is keeping me more than motivated as I want to look my best......I know my husband and he is just waiting for me to fail, which is not a part of my vocabulary any more! I am more determined than ever!

I hope you all have a wonderful week......take care one and all and as always be happy and keep smiling!

Hello Everyone!

I come with my tail between my legs After all my progress this week, Saturday I didn't have time to grab breakfast, since I was out very early, so I didn't eat ANYTHING until almost 4pm, and since I wasn't home, I was ravenous! We went to our usual buffet, and everything was ok....until I passed by the dessert bar....I swear those cakes were calling my name! Well everything was downhill from there....in the evening I had some apple pie and a hot fudge Sundae...
Yesterday was no good either...Feeling guilty about all that I'd eaten, I didn't eat anything until around 2pm, I then grabbed the first thing available...and it had rice..
After that of course I had sugar cravings and ate a little cake..
Dinner was a Calzone...WITH DESSERT...
So there's my confession....I weight ounce by ounce exactly what I did the day I came back from vacation...in 2 days I gained what I did in 2 weeks...it's sad when I let myself be so stupid! Anyway...I'll shake myself and get right up...Today will probably be high fat, to help get me thru the cravings...and exercise will be MANDATORY...to help burn a little...
I'll let you all know if I drop a thing tomorrow, I know I'm also accumulating water because it feels like hell out there!

Zer: GOOD FOR YOU...I read on a book from the Dalai Lama, that the 2 main things to do to be happy was declutter and be debt free....the first I have under control, the second I'm working on...Could you send us the link you're using? I know of someone who could benefit from some tips, as I'm tired of helping and she keeps bringing and moving stuff around her house! As for you, If you go on, you'll DEFINITELY feel a lot better, clean and relax...I always think clutter steals some of your energy...everytime you pass by it, it'll be in the back of your mind "I need to do something about this!" So imagine the feeling when you walk thru the same spot and only think "It looks great, I did it!" and you no longer have to worry about it...

Paris: Fortunately you won't have those dogs forever...Good luck in the meanwhile... I used to have a chihuahua years ago...and I adored her, but I don't know how I got by with all the hair, I'm extremely allergic! My husband is planning on buying a bulldog once we get the house, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it....

Kim: That is such a good idea! Let him see you keep doing better without him, and that you'll be looking good to others as well! I keep strongly recommending the Callanetics, the firm you up in DAYS and get rid of pain, and you feel and look much stronger!

I'll be checking back later...got to do some exercise!
Take care!

Callanetics? Tell me more, please!

The link? Ah, start looking early Saturday or Sunday morn, to see who is first up and at 'em. It varies. Usually someone on the east coast starts us off, reporting all sorts of stuff already done while we on the west coast snooze. Just keep looking until you see a thread tagged "15:15" or some such thing. Then jump right in with us!

Callanetics? Sounds promising. Pain is a constant. I'd like to tame it, if not eliminate it entirely. I'm using a mantra to help right now, but Callanetics is even better, as mantras DO help with pain, but do NOT firm me up at all! I so want to find my lap and maybe discover washboard abs too, as I get stronger and my balance improves. I plan on a healthier old age than my mid-year health. Callanetics may be just the ticket. Do tell me more!
