Ok ladies, I am here to check in. I am 100% on plan today. My menu is as follows:
B-1 hard boiled egg L-Big sirloin patty cooked on GF grill D-Rotisseri (sp?) chicken from henry's market I went to Henry's Market after work and stocked up on some meat. That is all I bought.. Except for some tea. The checkout guy said to me, "You out of meat?" I thought, if you only knew! Angie- Thanks for the info on the tea.. I found some tea at Henry's market that said it is for dieting, but upon inspection, it says it is a mild laxitive. I don't like hot tea so I made it and put ice in it. I am assuming it would work the same way. (crossing fingers) Paris- I found some Phillips milk of magnesium in my medicine cabinet. I never put two and two together to think of buying magnesium as a laxative. Well thanks for the info! |

Great job Judy!
Morning all. Still tired. My thought seem to always be on the job. I fall asleep and wake up thinking about it. If visualizing it will help it happen, then I am definitely doing well! Weight is holding today, but I ate late and kind of expected that. Have a great day everyone! |

3oz = 2/10 of a pound
It all adds up, each 0.2# counts toward an eventual pound lost. Good work!

Morning all
Way to go on the .2 Kandi babe! Last night was not M/E because we steamed artichokes and had baby, raw cukes with chicken and hummus - all healthy but not what this challenge is. Today will be the rest of my eggs and chicken with iced tea. Going to go workout and the spend the summer day with the family. Keep the focus! |

![]() Thanks, everyone.....My weight is holding today, but that's so much better than a bounce UP that I'm happy. I'll be on plan today. Protein shake for lunch; Ribeye steak and a small lettuce/celery/radish salad with Ranch for dinner. I need to get more water in. ![]() Kandi....taking the pills is so much tastier. I HATE Milk of Magnesia. It tastes like chalk. I just might try the tea myself. That would be less pills to take and I really don't like taking pills. Angie....thanks for the tip about the tea. Lynn....Hang in there. It will start going down again soon. Part of the reason is probably the stress you have been under about the job. Hopefully, that will be over soon. Shari...Whatever works. I need to weigh every day. Otherwise things tend to get out of hand. Zer...you're right. So long as it's down, it's good. But bigger downs are better. ![]() Chantel....We gotta live and so long as a night off doesn't derail you, it won't do any lasting damage. Other than the hummus, that's not a bad meal. And the hummus does have fiber to offset at least part of the carbs. See ya later....

Chantel-what are raw cukes?
Paris- If I were you and I drank the tea, I would drink it around 2 or 3. That way it has time to work in your system before bed. I had mine at 6 and woke up around 11 then again this morning. Next time I drink it, it will definitly be after lunch and before I go home. |

Just checking in. . .
Kandi: "Raw cukes" would be uncooked cucumbers. Chrissy: Welcome back!! You can do it! Paris: You've got a great plan, it looks like. Stick with it. Me, I was up a pound yesterday, and my weight held steady this morning. Not sure why the bounce up? Frustrating. . .just when you think you have things all figured out. Yesterday's menu (NOT M/E): B: coffee w/ hc, 3 cage-free eggs scrambled with 1/2 ounce uncured salami and 1 ounce colby jack S: couple spoonfuls of egg salad, 1/2 of a strawberry L: avocado/HB egg/mayo salad D: lc cole slaw (a nice big bowl of it) Today: B: coffee w/ hc L: 3 cage-free eggs scrambled with 1/2 ounce uncured salami and 1 ounce colby jack S: 1/4 cup macadamias D: gonna be "breakfast for dinner" night at my house. . .eggs, ham steak, pancakes (for the DS's), fruit (prolly not for me) Went to the gym this morning and did a 45-minute power walk, uphill. Ugh. Btw, I DID get things straightened out with the airline. . .minor changes to our flights, so all is well. Still leaving next Friday, coming back the following Friday. (AND, I didn't end up actually hurting anyone from Cheap Tickets. . .so that's a bonus! )Catch you's guys later! ![]()

Hi losers! KUTGW!
The next job I am interested in if I don't get the boss job just posted today. It is a case manager position which is the class I have been taking for the last 6 months to get certified. The job doesn't pay as much, but just in case I am not chosen for the boss job, I'll put in my resume. I have until next wed. to apply. I really want the boss job though. |

Chantel...it could be anytime between now and Sept 30th. If an offer isn't in place by then they will lose the funding for the salary. I am hoping much sooner since the current position holder and other candidate for the position, is leaving on Sept 13th since she retires from active duty Nov. 1st and has leave to use. I just don't know.

Good Evening Ladies:
It has been a busy day at home, I left early in the morning so I didn't have time to post.. I gained another pound! 1.4 to be exact, yesterday I spent all day out and didn't get much to eat...but I bough some S/F Chocolate Ice Cream bars at Target, I couldn't believe they were so cheap, on special...They say only 4 carbs and 3 of those are sugar alcohols....but that's the only thing I ate that wasn't on plan, so I'll see tomorrow... I'm very tired, so sorry for no personals, but it's good to see all of you! Sweet Dreams!

Good morning all! Today I am down to 224.8. One pound gone since yesterday. I hit my first goal today! Now my goals aren't spaced as far apart so hopefully it won't take me another 4 months to hit 210. Only 25 more until my hair extensions! I can totally do this!

388.8...what a great weight for 8/8/08!
388.8 is a great weight for a date like today's: 8/8/08.
So I'm claiming 388.8 ... even as I admit I'm 5.4# over! All right, I'm showing 388.8+5.4=394.2, the weight that my scale reports today ...but I *WAS* 391.0 on 8/1 and I *COULD* have made 388.8 if I had stuck to fish & eggs for a week instead of going offplan, confusing myself and challenging my metabolism. I just hate to let such a significant date pass without giving myself credit for a dream - a sweet dream that I did not make a serious goal and treat right by making better LC choices. Dreams are important. This one deserves mention. Let's honor our dreams! Oh, I'm not totally delusional. I know that I have 5.4# to go, to reach 388.8 for real. But I need to capture the dream that flitted through my fancy on 8/1, a dream of owning a weight of 388.8 on 8/8/08. By playing with numbers, I can escape being disappointed in how poorly I honored myself by digressing into casual carby eating to 'celebrate' seeing 391.0 on my scale on 8/1. It's an Aspie tweak on life, I think, to twist the kaleidoscope of my mind to find an image that gives me pleasure. I get pleasure from seeing a weight of 388.8 on 8/8/08, a date that marks 6mos of owning a talking scale that has helped me work my way down ounce by ounce (with upward bOunCes pound by pound, it seems!). I am grateful for gifting myself with a scale for my 64th b'day. I am mindful that I shall be 65 in 6mos - and I can weigh less on that day, but only if I eat mindfully, make good LC choices day by day, bite by bite. HOW LOW CAN I GO? I wonder! I am so grateful to the support and assistance from my LCFriends!!! |

Ok, here's what I had today.
B: coffee w/ hc, a scoop of egg salad and 1/4 cup lc cole slaw (weird, I know) S: soft brie on some pork rinds L: chicken salad (1/4 cup), 1 oz queso blanco (fried), and 4 bites (yes. . .I counted) of a chicken/cheese quesadilla made on a lc tortilla D: 1 small slice of pork shoulder roast, incuding the fat My calories are too low (only about 1100), but I feel like a stuffed pig. Bleah!! I even ran to the Y before it closed after dinner. I think I'm going to just have some water for the rest of the night. One day of low calories won't make a big diff right? |

Good morning ladies,
Well I lost it for 24hrs. I 'celebrated' my b-day and due to really being stressed right now just gave in to feelings of not having a care in the world. I've got to really work on controlling my emotional eating. It's a battle that I sometimes win and sometimes lose. I know I have to take control and not let stressors get the best of me. So I'm back and ready to battle!! Congrats to those who are still on plan and losing!! ![]() |

Ok. More suckishness. I'm up another .6 this morning.
I'm about ready to start pulling my hair out. Or have a breakdown. . .that prolly won't take as much energy as the whole hair thing.I even went to the Y and did a good hard (uphill) powerwalk yesterday. Why is this happening? How can I be gaining when I'm NOT eating carbs AND trying to lose?!? Marcia! MARCIA!! MARCIA!!! ![]() |

<Still crying>
I just cut off a slice and put it in a pan until it was brown on one side, then I flipped it over and browned the other side. It was the first time I'd made it, honestly, and it wasn't really anything to write home about, IMO. Prolly won't make it again. |

I felt the same way last week....I've always read about how some people take a week off, so this is what I did and I gained 4lbs last week and I actually was still very careful about what I ate.....Well this week, I went back on the plan and so far have lost the 4lbs that I had gained last week...I'm just so frustrated that I've lost a whole week.....If I stray just a little bit, then I gain....I've been hanging around the 272lbs mark for almost 3 weeks.....I can smell the 260s right around the corner for me and I'm so hoping to somehow get 3lbs off by Monday (yeah right - LOL)....I truly wish you much success in reaching your goals and I do understand your frustration.....But, the friends here on LCF have been so supportive and encouraging, so stay in the race, because you are doing all of the right things, I just believe that it will eventually come off....Many Blessings, Marilyn
