Is this our main thread now? Sorry for the late start but everything was a wee but hectic here getting the yard cleaned up etc.
I have now downloaded the home version of FitDay in case I have no internet this winter when we go south. If that happens I will go to the library to check in when I can..but hey that is not until November so a whole summer to start losing this weight. I am rereading my DANDR book again. If this does not work this time then i will just have to start eliminating limbs..however I could end up with just a big fat ball that way..LOL

Hi Alberta & good advice for ALL of us to keep in mind:

I have to read more of the foods we can have, I have been eating mainly eggs and bacon, plus a large salad. I do add things like meats and cheese here and there, oh can not forget the brocalli.

My July goals are to loose into the 170's by the end of the month even if it is 179 I will have made it.
I plan on adding more protein, the only thing with the protein I have to force myself to eat because I am not hungry.
I plan on using more hand weighs in my exercise routines.

BuddysGirl! :)

YES MA'AM this is our new main thread (for July) - we'll have a new thread each month. Great to have you baaack!

Cool, there's a home version of FitDay? I need to do that too. We're going to Europe for 3 weeks (Aug 8-31) and I definitely want to stay ON TRACK!

Your comment cracked me up and made me think of that awful movie Boxing Helena - remember that one?? Courtesy of the surgeon that was infatuated with her, she woke-up one day in bed w/ no arms & no legs. Yuck!

Where is "South" for you??

Alberta, I know you can do it. You've been working so hard and doing so good w/ your water & exercise & food - you deserve to see 179 and I know that you will very soon! Hand weights and resistance training in general is a great idea and will help you burn even more calories, even at rest!

Sorry I haven't been checking in much. It's just crazy at work and I hate my computer at home so I seldom get on. I'm still with you though.

Have a great week!

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was fun and busy and I did well until last night when we were invited to dinner at some friends. They know I eat low carb and I asked if I could bring anything to contribute, but they told me not to. There was nothing low carb except the hamburger they grilled. I ate that without a bun and I had cheese and tomato slices, but nothing else was low carb. I ate a few things off plan, but tried to only eat a spoonful of other things to be polite. I felt really awkward and self-conscious because everyone was asking me why I wasn't eating very much. I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I didn't want to sabotage my diet either. Ahhh. I hate things like that. I didn't weigh this morning since I ate a few bites of corn on the cob. I know that is high in carbs, but it was the least "evil" thing there to eat. I also had wine at their house. So, anyway, Friday is my Curves one month weigh in and measure, so I will stay stong all week and hopefully have a good loss on Friday.

I am happy for all of you "losers"!!!!! I wanna be a loser too!

We leave for vacation July 18. Hopefully I will be many more pounds lighter by then.

Hummingird--cute dogs. We have a yorkie. Our daughter has a border collie mix and he is the cutest thing. I love her dog (and our yorkie, too).

Hi everyone. I'm glad to read about the losses over the past week, and I'm happy to add that I've lost 3 lbs. since Tuesday. So mine is now "50 to lose / 3 lost / 47 pounds to go!" Love it! Like you, mauitammy, I did end up eating a couple of things I shouldn't have yesterday, at a church dinner for our Pastor's birthday. But I resisted the cake and other desserts.

Hummingbird, I loved watching your dogs. They're just adorable. I love dogs, period, lol. Ours is a Bassett Hound and he has such a goofy personality.

Here's how I did today.
Calories Eaten Today
