Take it easy, continue to heal. Sip organic chicken broth and get plenty of rest & fluids. You need ALL of your energy to go toward healing your frail body right now so no Induction for you just yet, missy!

Meanwhile, tell me more about what you ate and how you felt (energy-wise) last time you did Induction? And for how long did you do it?
HB My meals mainly consisted of the following:
B: 2 eggs, 3-4 slices bacon or 2 sausage patties, 1oz cheese, coffee/splenda
L: 2 cups salad with chicken or any leftover meat from previous dinner
D: Protein with steamed or grilled veggies
S: Cheese, HB egg, grilled chicken, CC clouds
Multi vitamin and other supplements
Breakfast was the only time I had anything with caffine.

I would eat dinner around 6:30pm
I felt good the first couple of days then started crashing hard! I would be falling asleep on the couch almost immediately after dinner, I was hard for me to wake up in the am, and stay energized during the day. I stayed on induction (non cheating) for 3.5 weeks.

Then I slowly but surely started slipping here and there, not too bad at 1st, but finally just off plan more than on so that I've gained back 15. I realize where I could have been now had I not lost my way, but I can't change that. I CAN move on from this point and learn from where I've been.

The 1st post in this thread just sort of called out to me because I was desperately looking for something to inspire me.

July's goals are: lose at least 10 lbs., get back into walking, drinking more water. And this time, stay focused!

Thanks again!

Hi Jacee! Welcome. I am doing Atkins as well, but as you can see from my last post, I am seeking advice. Which our team is great about especially our fearless leaders: Hummingbird, Meekness, and Buddygirl. I am 39, currently single but with a great guy, I am mother to a 12 year old Chocolate Lab named Mocha.
I look forward to celebrating your goal with you!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Today wasn't a clean induction day for me, because I had some fruit before I joined in here. Still, my carbs were at 39. Tomorrow I plan to be by the book.

nite y'all.

i'm pooped. had a girlfriend & her adorable baby girl over for lunch (I made Cobb Salads) then we took all 4 of my dogs to the park for a romp. everyone got MUDDY so I had to bathe 4 dogs when I got home and then enjoyed sunset w/ hubby on the deck. after dinner my oldest dog had what appears to be a stroke. i fear she is not long for this world as I have noticed a "declne" over the past few weeks. i just pray that she goes peacefully while I'm around to hold her so I will be sticking close to home for awhile.

I will calculate & post my macros/menu from today ... tomorrow. i need sleep!

hope everyone had a good day today & planning another good day tomorrow!

XO,
HB

XO,
HB

Hey BS, well my first thought was that maybe you weren't getting enough protein, but looks like you were getting plenty. in fact, your menu looks great to me. hmmm. i wonder what Atkins says about this? i will check tomorrow. and BTINC, if you're reading this, would appreciate your thoughts? should she try adding some whole grain carbs to her breakfast? just a thought. honestly i think it might be worth a shot at posting this in the Main Lobby to see what the "LC veterans" come back with re: suggestions. it's hard to stay on track with anything with no energy. maybe our keto plan will be good for you, too. do you exercise?

Good morning everyone. I am really struggling to try to find out what is going on with me right now. I am not losing and I tried increasing my calories and fat and have gained 3 more pounds last week. So, that is definitely not working for me. Starting today I am going to try to keep it between 1200-1500 calories and under 20 carbs. I am exercising at Curves 3 days a week and am active on the other days although no formal exercise. I am drinking so much water that I feel I may float away. TOM was last week, so no bloating caused by that. I am going to cut out the crystal lite lemonade as I have also been having a large glass of that everyday and that is something new to my diet.

My menu today is:
B: 2 eggs cooked in 1 pat of butter and 4 slices of bacon, coffee with 1 T. cream
L: 3 scrambled eggs with 1 oz of cheddar cheese
D: Hamburger patty cooked on the grill with lettuce, onion slice, slice tomato, mustard, 1 oz cheddar cheese
S: protein shake made with whey protein powder and coffee if needed today. I usually get really hungry around 3 pm everyday and these protein shakes keep me feeling full until dinner

Fitday totals for this menu:
Calories Eaten Today
grams cals %total
Total: 1224
Fat: 85 767 62%
Sat: 29 258 21%
Poly: 5 49 4%
Mono: 26 234 19%
Carbs: 12 42 3%
Fiber: 1 0 0%
Protein: 105 420 34%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

I am frustrated, but not giving up.

Sorry to be so negative, but it is frustrating to not be eating badly and gain weight.

I am off to Curves now and will check back in later. I appreciate all of you in this challenge.

Welcome to our newbies.

People examine your calorie intake, some of you need to eat more food, bare minimum your body weight times 10 for your calories.

Have you looked at my menu? How am I doing? I haven't logged my foods into Fit Day yet.

You have to add it up and break down the macro's for me, although your in a different situation and have a dead line to meet you can be more aggressive in some different areas in a couple of weeks. Lets see how you respond to this first. Post your macro's and just keep in mind your body weight times 10-12 for daily calorie intake.

Okay, I'll plug everything in Fit Day and post in a second.

MAUI TAMMY

Tammy, I understand your frustration, I really do. But, for how long have you been back "on plan". Just a few days, right? The 3 lbs is just water weight that will come right back off once your body adjusts & stabilizes to all of the addt'l healthy water you're drinking.

The most important thing here is going to be consistancy and patience. The female body is a very complex piece of machinery. There will be up/down weight fluxuations of 2-5 lbs every day. That's why weighing daily can be de-motivating. I suggest that you put your scale away for a few weeks and eat clean & exercise and see where that gets you. I think you will be surprised.

Definitely cut the Crystal Light (aspartame is evil).

Aim for the center of your calorie range on most days, but shake-it up here & there with a lowCal day (not less than 1200) and a higherCal day (the top of your range). That may help get things moving for you.

DON'T GIVE-UP ~ STAY THE COURSE ~ HIDE YOUR SCALE FOR A FEW WEEKS

XO,
HB
