Thanks, December! I think I am going to redo the entire spreadsheet today according to teams.

I'm going to give access to the spreadsheet to team captains only in an effort to keep the spreadsheet from glitching. There was a slight mishap yesterday, and it made me think it might be easier for members if the access granted was for team captains (for everyone's convenience).

This is ALWAYS true. Say that your frame SHOULD be carrying 125 pounds. If you are at 350, your body won't fight you too much on losing some weight, so the pounds per unit of time will be far higher.

If you are at 250, you are still significantly over what your body needs, so it will give up weight pretty readily, but not as easily as coming from 350.

If you are at 150, you are not too, too far from your body's proper weight of 125, so the body will resist losing TOO quickly.

Plus, there is another factor. It takes less of a dietary error to make a significant difference with a smaller number.

An analogy outside of weight:

If you are maintaining an aquarium, the smaller the tank, the HARDER it is to maintain. If you have a 100 gallon aquarium, and extra drop or two of some chemical is not going to make a difference.

If you are maintaining a 50 gallon aquarium and you get an extra drop or two, it's probably not detectable.

If you are maintaining a 20 gallon aquarium and you get an extra drop or two, it might be detectable.

If you are maintaining a 10 gallon aquarium and you get an extra drop or two, you might have to adjust some things.

If you are maintaining a 1 gallon fish bowl, and you get an extra drop or two, you are flushing your fishies down the commode!

I would luv to join too!!! I need to lost 70 pounds by the end of the year! I have already lost 80 but it took like a 18 month's!!! But now i'm exercising religously!

P.S. Cleo- i want you to know you inspired me in a major way, like i said it took me so long to lose that 80 pounds; i thought maybe i needed to get the lap-band or the gastric bypass, to actually see result's, then i read your blog; stopped feeling sorry for myself and feel in luv with low carb all over agian; so Thank you, you Rock!

You will NOT regret the choice to lose weight on your own! If you go for surgery, you are teaching yourself that you have no control over your life. If you take it off by natural means, you are teaching yourself that you CAN change your life. By removing 80 pounds already, you have taught yourself that you are, in fact, a power to be dealt with!
