Ah, Cleo, another one of your great ideas!!!

You're all added! Thanks for joining. I'm putting teams together this weekend. As more folks join, I'm going to continue to assign to teams. As a result, I am going to make more teams, so as to keep folks from being overwhelmed. I want no more than 8 people to a team for your ease.

Hi, Cleo
You must be clairvoyant! How did you know to make Pizza in a Funnel Cone right before Colorado got tornadoes? I'm glad you are ok!![]() My nutritionist and I had a very enlightening conversation this morning! I had a tough evening last night and I binged. I only had 3 hours of sleep yet I'm here at work. She said because of the high carba-holic food fest I had to do a strict protein regime for the next couple of days and drink water like its nobodies business! I am ready to start this challenge!

LOL Lora-- That is something. It was really surreal. I'd lived in Dallas for 6 years and was used to funnel cloudy stuff, but when I heard the sirens I was pretty surprised. We don't get that kind of stuff here generally. This was certainly a first. It was estimated that the tornado was a mile wide!
Your nutritionist is right on! Eat protein AND fat and some salad veggies. The fat has a lot of staying power. |

Thank you. My husband helped me set this one up. It calculates weight lost and everything! It is really a nice program. I might rework the spreadsheet to reflect the teams and losses per team as well.

Now I hear LA is getting tornadoes and AZ is getting a Foot of Snow (well in Flagstaff) but my sister (she lives in Mesa, AZ) said the temperature is cooler than it usually is.
So much for ((((((cough))))) Global Warming ((((((cough))))))! I'm armed and ready with protein today, btw! |

A thought to keep us motivated. A year ago I had lost 40 lbs and only had 18 left and my son said "Mom, just do it" Well needless to say I did not just do it since I now have 42 lbs to go. I told my doctor this last year and when I went fo my annual this year she looked great. She lost 60 lbs on Atkins and told me it was because of what my son said a year ago. So now I say to all of us "JUST DO IT"

Last year my daughter said something to me that triggered a whole starvation thing. She asked me if I ever wanted to be thin like her teacher was or did I always want to be fluffy? It broke my heart and I started using ALLI and just not eating. I lost 30lbs in a month but also started seriously losing my hair too! This is a much healthier way to lose weight and something I can live with.

Cleo, do we use our weight from sometime this week, with the first losses being recorded this Monday? I noticed someone had 12 pounds lost in their siggy thing. Do we all want to be on the same page with this?
I'm excited about this. I have never been a fast loser, with 40 pounds as my goal, I just need to be consistent - lose at least 1 pound a week, with 9 or 10 weeks of 2 pound losses! |
