I made jam for years; need to start that up again. Nothing better than fresh strawberry and raspberry jam.

UGH! What is wrong with me? I just ate a strawberry cupcake with strawberry whipped icing. It tasted soooo good but now I'm feeling guilt/remorse I am finding myself having these weak moments alot more frequently and I'm scared cuz I think, which cheat will be the one that maybe sends me over tbne edge to an all out binge(old BAD habits). Why does this have to be so hard???? Sorry if I'm whining, but I just am feeling like everyone around me doesnt have to be so vigilant or workout like a fiend to be "normal". I think I'm destined to be overweight forever

Lisa You're not the only one that struggles with this. I also struggle every day, some days worse than others, but it's a struggle. I know it's so hard. When I was doing this last year, it just seemed to be easy, didn't cheat for months, felt strong, etc... But one refeed and I was a goner. I know, though, that you can get though this.

Thank you for your kind words Sue Having friends here is the only thing that keeps me going and not saying the heck with it all. It helps to know I am not the only one who feels this way. I guess this is just one of the bad days. I am hanging in there drinking my water and chewing some sf gum to avoid going to the kitchen for more sweets. I don't want to give myself permission to just keep eating off plan today. Thank you for being here for me

Lisa~ Sue is right. We all have a hard time. Please don't think it is just you. If I didn't work out 4 or 5 days a week I would look like a house. Honest! I had a massive ice cream at Hagen Daas last night. Trust me I mean massive! I know I shouldn't do that, ecspecially with the problems with my sugar, but it tastes so yummy. I need to make some bark or something. The week before that time of the month is the hardest to get through for me and guess what week it is....yep it is that special week.

It is so great that we can whine to each other though

Yes, it really does help to have this place to come to for help and encouragement. Believe me when I say I would have dropped LC years ago without this site.

Sue~ Too true. Well today I changed my mind, but I have no ambition to work out. I just got little man down for a nap and tried to convince myself to do something, but I am really tired. I know it was the sugar. It makes me feel exhausted the next day. Oh well! Back to the drawing board tomorrow.

Toni, it seems that it's a struggle for all of us lately.

I'm feeling awful this morning. Had a very rough night of pain and pressure in my chest. I couldn't lay down because it would make the pressure worse, so I ended up sleeping on the couch in our room upright. After DH left I went back to sleep and had a good 1.5 hours of rest.

Stacey~ I hate the dentist! I have to go back in August.

Whew! Made it through the day without any cheats I had shakes for brekkie & lunch and stopped at Subway on my way home for a Chicken & Bacon Ranch salad. Just finished 30 mins on the treadmill. I hope tomorrow will be as good. I am beat. Gonna go read for a bit and then go to bed. Goodnight

I'm pretty sure that I have an ulcer that was aggravated by the organic apple cider vinegar that I was taking to help the IBS. But, after drinking broth and only eating SF jello yesterday, I'm feeling better today. The bland diet must continue until I can get some help from my docs, which is very slow in coming.

Stacey~I hate the dentist. I had some awful experiences overseas growing up and it's so hard for me to make those appointments. But they must be made.

Lisa~so glad you had a great day yesterday and got your exercise in.

Toni~how are you doing today?

Woke up with a MONSTER migraine this AM BUT I'm feeling pretty good today. The sun is shining and I plan to just relax today. I have a bunch of things to do, but I'm just gonna take the day off I am gonna exercise and finish my library book, but not much else. I had a shake for breakfast, and probably another for lunch. This routine helps me get back on track fairly quickly. Not sure about supper yet but maybe fish & veggies. So what's going on with y'all?

Sorry about the migraine, Lisa. Doesn't it seem like if it's not one thing, it's another? Glad you're going to relax and get some rest today.

Hola Ladies! Well didn't get much sleep last night. Jace has a fever and was vomiting all night. Poor little guy can't even keep down a sip of water yet. He just fell asleep, so I hope he will feel better soon. Hate when he is sick because you feel like there is nothing you can do.

I am gonna try and do my workout today, but between Jace and having to clean my house I am not sure I will have the time. Maybe when the hubby gets home I can do it. Hope you all have a great day!

Lisa~Protein Power is the one my doctor told me about. I have hypoglycemia and was having a really hard time keeping my sugar up. Anyway, I don't think that PP is as strict as atkins. For instance, to start on their plan (phase1) I can have 10 carbs a meal and two snacks say 5 carbs each total about 30 to 40 carbs a day. Also I have a certain amount of protein that I must eat a day. I can go over that amount, but never under. I actually didn't think about losing weight when I started I just wanted the headaches to go away without medication, and they did within the first two weeks, it was the most awesome thing. The Eades are theDr's that made this plan and they have a few books out. I got mine from the local library and thrift shop. I reccommend them if you want to try them out. They also have a cooking show on PBS called cookworx and have a cookbook out called Low Carb Comfort Foods. It has some good stuff in it. Hope that answered some questions. Holler again if you want to know anything else.

Jace has be on and off dozing today, so I am cleaning the house. He has finally kept down a a bit of toast and some gatorade and one of those pedialyte popsicles. Thank goodness.

Still am going to try and do my workout when the hubby gets home.....really want to.

Lisa~Hope your Mom is doing well.

I am walking today 4.5 miles. I am going to try and fit in some ab workout today too.
Hubby has a four day weekend this weekend, but we have to work on stuff for the promotion board that he goes to next week. BUT Monday is a huge sale at my favorite thrift shop. 50% off the entire store...guess where I'll be at 8 AM

On a side note, I received my new swimsuit..hate it. I sent it back and ordered a different one. The other one had this band on the top and it made me look weird......Oh weel. Hope I like the new one

Morning ladies.

Feeling better today.

Hope it warms up here for the weekend. We're supposed to get temps in the 70s, which would be wonderful.

Stacey~that's too bad about the swim suit. Hope you like the new one. And glad your little one is doing better.

Lisa~have a great day with your mom.

Toni~how are you, friend?

Hey everyone!

I finally have a minute to do some catch up reading. I hope everyone is well and on the mend - including kids! We are all doing ok - schedule is finally starting to free up a bit. Today is the last day of homeschool, piano has ended for summer break and Saturday is the last soccer game for the season (1 tourney left). Whew!

I, on the other hand, am having some real issues with eating. I'm not sure what to do anymore and I'm not sure I'm going to succeed with this. I'm probably killing myself by yo-yo-ing the way I do. The only "real" success I've had with LC is the first time I was on it. That was from Oct. 2005 to Feb. 2006 - I dropped 30 lbs. in 4 months. I have been in the same 175-185 range for over 2 years now. Last July - I got serious when I was back up to 187. I thought it would have been very do-able to drop 20 lbs. from July to January - it didn't happen, even though I was very much on plan and exercising. I got down to the 173-175 range in October (again) and it just stopped - the same as it always does. I've now been on this challenge thread since..what?...November? and I still haven't been able to stick with this plan long enough to see success. On the other hand, if I don't do something - I'll weigh 200 lbs. within the next month. It's like I have lost all knowledge of what I'm supposed to be doing. It almost feels like I'm beating my head against a brick wall. I love the way I feel when I'm strict LC and I want more than anything to be healthy and thinner (it affects my whole self-being). I'm just feeling lost. The support on this board has been wonderful and I'm so thankful for that - but I can't keep kidding myself here - I just don't know what to do. :/ Anyway, thanks for reading.

I'd better go hang some laundry outside and save a few cents by avoiding the dryer.

Take care all!
