Marcelle, you forgot to add "interferes with my time to make Susan a Marcelle Original bag" to the cons list.

Seriously, find your Zen place. If it all falls into place then it is meant for you and if it doesn't, if it's too hard, then it isn't what you need right now. Out of all the cons the ONLY thing that would really bother me would be not having sick days and at where you are now you get yelled at and ordered to come in when you're sick, anyway, so what's the point of having them if it's a nightmare taking them? The rest you can plan around (plan your finances in advance around vacations and holidays you want to take, get a financial planner and open your own retirement account, etc.). I daresay MOST people in America work for companies with no profit sharing so IMO it's a fantastic bonus if you have it but not a tragedy if you don't.

Susan, your the BOMB!! Yes advisor is on the To list anyway w/ Greg and I. It's funny we get sick/vacation days but you don't get paid. Go figure..lol YES why say you have sick days when you get slammed for taking them.
And yes yes yes there is a BAG that is going to be yours. I'm designing some now on paper. To get a pattern together. I have the simple ones that I have in my mind but I want ones that just are different and artsyfartsy yet elegant. Since I am not working w/ Leather just fabric but I have to start somewhere.

Drew - I thought your poem was VERY cute -- maybe cute isn't what you're going for - but I thought it was great - not to schmarmy (know what I mean?) but still heartfelt and it conveys that you're really starting to fall for him without bashing him over the head with it - I say GO FOR IT and give it to him!!!

And if he doesn't like that?
Bake him the homemade cake

Marcelle - GOOD LUCK!!! I know you'll do the right thing - but I understand being nervous about it. I felt that way when I left CBS for ABC....and it's almost NINE years ago now. Sometimes you just gotta JUMP! I'll email you about the SATC thing -- there's two shows on opening day that have the "party" attached -- and honestly? I can't tell at all from the website if drinks are included in the price -- if not, $60 is a LOT to spend on a movie! That said...I still wouldn't mind seeing it at the Arclight so we can pick our seats and everything!

Lisa -- I'm feeling lousy today - I think it's from flying so much, etc - but I've got a scratchy throat. Hoping to leave early today since I have to fly AGAIN!

A Singletons gathering would be great but probably not in the cards for me this year...

and yes...where IS our Mary??? That's VERY strange.

Wow, we are getting torrential rains today. I was at Costco and had to load my car in it and was COMPLETELY drenched. Only the front of my hair/face/upper body wasn't totally soaked.

LOVE ME SOME COSTCO, by the way! Today was my first visit, ours is brand new. Their pre-packaged food section rocks! I got a pack of spinach and artichoke chicken burgers with four cheeses. Had one for lunch and it was the bomb. They carry Conundrum but it is cheaper at World Market. Their book selection is fantastic (SOOO much better than Sam's) and most books, hardback and soft cover, were about 50% off retail. I got two. Oh, and one of them is something about being a Jane Austen Addict, ROFL! Some girl goes back in time and wakes up as someone else in Jane Austin's era, sounds cheesy but it's short and will be a cute plane read next week. Also got Baba Wawa's memoir.

Marcelle, so how did it go? I can't BELIEVE you didn't come straight in here and give us the scoop.

Mary, LOVE THE CAR! You are stylin', girl. SERIOUSLY stylin'! You so deserve that and it seems made for you. I know you will love the heck out of it. I my car every time I get in it, I mean EVERY time, and that's when you know you made the right decision.

Bridget, tell me about wine points. They list them on the wines at Costco. I picked up one for the trip next week (we always "set up bar" in somebody's room...you are very surprised by that, I know ) because it was relatively cheap (about $12) and said it rated 88 points. Is that decent? The description sounded like something most people would tolerate pretty well (not dry, lots of fruits).

I was very disappointed to not find even a hint of any Two Buck Chuck.

Lisa, have a great time tonight!

Hi everyone!

Jeff Dunham was completely hilarious. I ached on Saturday from laughing so much Friday night. We had a fan.tastic. time! I so needed that!! Tim did too! Chris and Judith were so much fun, too. And Judith and I had fun being "Fashion Police". Some people seriously should get new mirrors!

Sorry this is quick. Playing catch up at work. I'll be back later, though!

Okay - STILL have a bit of an upper respiratory "thing" going on but it's probably from going in and out of 109 degree heat and 40 below air conditioning in Vegas.

We had a FANTASTIC time - VERY mellow - just hanging out at the pool and going to dinner once - we cooked in two nights, made our own sandwiches for the pool, etc - it was great having a beautiful condo instead of a hotel - just a GORGEOUS place, too - VERY luxurious.

Now for the funny story...
My friend, Jeri, went to Vegas this same weekend for a birthday celebration with her friend, Ellen. They went out to the clubs on Friday night and Saturday morning, they came over to visit with us and sit by our pool for the day. Jeri is all excited because she's met a SURGEON while she was out clubbing and he seems really nice and really into her. He has a twin brother who is ALSO a surgeon.

You know where I'm going with this, right?

We all get because there is NO WAY we believe that this guy is actually a TWIN SURGEON. NO WAY. It's just TOO PERFECT a Vegas story to be true, right?

http://abcnews.go.com/WN/PersonOfWeek/story?id=4263270

Vance Moss is the one that Jeri hung out with - BOY, were WE ever surprised!!
What a nice guy!! Of course...she did NOT behave herself when she met up with him again Saturday night - she called me Sunday morning to tell me she was doing "the walk of shame" back to her hotel. I wanted to smack her -- she was definitely NOT the "woman by the well" but I know that they've spoken since she got home. I just HAD to share this story because it just SUCH a riot that we were all laughing at her Saturday morning....and this is who the guy turns out to be!!!

I know, Marcelle!! Dianne, Ellen and I were all just teasing the crud out of Jeri on Saturday because we thought she was being so gullible.

And then we went into the condo and logged on to Chuck's computer and googled the guy.

But we sure had fun with her before that . She called for a cab at one point because they were getting ready to go back over to Mandalay Bay to get ready to go out with us that night and she said "God, where IS that taxi?? I called fifteen minutes ago! You'd think in Vegas they'd come right away!"

And I said "oh don't worry, Jeri, I'm sure the cabbie just had to stop really quick and perform an emergency appendectomy at the hospital on his way!"

Hi girls!

My friend, Juanita, thinks her husband is cheating on her. They've been married for about 2 years. He's one you'd never expect. I hope she's wrong, but she's usually spot on with her intuition.

I don't know any of the details, but she wants me to help her find one of those keystroke programs to log his computer usage. Any ideas?

Lisa, well has she confronted him? and why does she suspect that he's cheating in the first place? First gather info. The worst feeling is that GUT wrenching knot in the stomach of just the thought of him cheating is horrible. And the normal actions of the female is to not confront and then be passive/aggressive and if he's not cheating can damage the marriage just the same with odd behavior. I don't know anything about that computer thing. I'M SURE DREW DOES. LOL our Singletons computer expert. What about his cell phone ? check the incoming calls. From my own experience this could be telling but also very brutal for her if she finds anything on her own. Honestly just confront him or call the show "CHEATERS" LOL.....
Oh I pray that he isn't but again what makes her think that he is???? hugs and prayers for her.

Bridget, LOL I think it's funny that you just googled him as well. Woman PI's at work now go find out if Juanita's husband is cheating...LOL

Lisa, JUST PRAY PRAY PRAY THAT IT'S NOT TRUE AND THAT THE LIGHT WILL COME OUT. OR THE TRUTH AND ALLOW THE HEALING TO BEGIN FOR HER. IT IS REALLY SAD TO THINK SHE'S JUST CONSUMED WITH THOSE SORT OF THOUGHTS. I FEEL FOR HER. GROUP PRAYERS.
