I have no clue - supposedly he wanted to talk to me about something/needed my opinion on something before Senior Ball.

Don't know if he is giving DD something? I thought maybe it was to talk about a grad gift, but DD says no!

Everyone keeps asking "what are you doing for Mother's Day?"

I say, "it's not my place to plan the festivities!"

Me too!
Just tell me when and where to be and I'm there!

Though I did find out where Matt Damon is going to be - so I'm grabbing a DD and going to track him down.
Maybe I'll get a picture!

I am home from my race. I ran well. Not as fast as last year but the conditions were different. It is a fairly hard course and it was fun even in the rain. I still came in at a good time. Not too many did the race probably because of the rain. There were around 130 runners and I was 80th because there weren't too many of the slow ones there. The die hard fast ones always come out.

Went to bagels and now need to shower and iron some uniforms. My husband and son are out probably mothers day shopping.

So my husband got his bonus and decided to put the majority on the Visa but gave my oldest $500 and kept $500 for to spend. I never thought of doing that so glad I hadn't put it all on the Visa yet. My oldest asks for nothing and gets so little from us. He can use the money as he wants and maybe can use it for his trip to Costa Rica this summer. I am sure we will help the middle son with his move it all works out for July 1st. He needs to meet with the landlord. We are praying he can move because he wears you out. Yesterday he was jealous of his brother's birthday gift and said something about me not buying him a Chanukah gift. I quickly reminded him he has been living here room and board free for 2 years.

Our dinner plans have changed for the night so my husband wants me to check out movies. Any good ones to go see??? Advice anyone on a movie is appreciated. No horror and no blood though. I prefer light and romantic.

then the grocery store and now I'm making food for tonight.
Brownies are in the oven.

going to see Patrick Dempsey. I like him more then Ashton Kutcher. It is called The Bridesmaid.

Moving Day for Kim and family! how exciting.

MK, funerals are so hard and remind us too much of our own mortality. On that light note...

Quiet day in shortie land.

Cindy when is your race??

Barb, working??
Ange, hope you have a nice relaxing weekend.

Kaye, can't remember your weekend plans but hope your lap top is doing all you want and not too slowly.

Kelly, games and kids and things happening this weekend? My life is way too predictably. It is running and work and maybe dinner with friends or family.

Off hubby and I go to buy graduation cards of which I need 2 college and one HS. I have time for HS but then again they are having a double party Memorial Day weekend and we won't be here but need to give gifts since they are close friends and neighbors.

Then we are having a bite out and movie at 7:30. I ironed uniforms and now remember I need to go switch laundry before I go. Hate that my youngest will be here alone. Middle son going to Nationals game with a HS friend who is moving away. Oldest just called and is out shopping for some new clothes. That tells me where some of the money husband gave him is going. He needs new things too as we all do.

Be back later with a movie review.

Home from shopping and up from a nap. *yawn* Good morning again!

MK, sorry about your friends dad. Funerals are a sad way to spend the day, but good to be supportive of a friend.

Cindy, I already got all my Mother's day presents, all I want to do is go out to breakfast tomorrow. Did you end up going to lunch? What did he want?

Deb, Congrats on your race time, even in the rain! Proud of you!

Becky, glad the closing went without a hitch, so exciting to have your first home!

Kelly, my sister was a lifeguard for many summers, made pretty good money!

Ange, anyone coming to see the house this weekend?

I'm enjoying my new laptop and liking access to things I could never see/do before, even if I have to do it away from home at the library or some other wireless connection. Like you tube stuff and huge picture threads I always avoid.
Well, I assume you know I'm a big MST3K fan (Mystery Science Theater 3000) and I could never download the huge new RiffTrax files for new movies Mike Nelson is doing. I've had an account there for a couple years and today I could download the big files to my laptop at the library. Woot! I got "Lord of the Rings" .riff file and "300". He has a new player that sync the movie mp3 for you now and it's great!
One of the things I'm so glad I can have access to that I didn't before. So Yay!

Still full from lunch at taco bell, so not motivated to make dinner. We're supposed to have a seafood bonanza of shrimp, scallops, fish and clams.
Just having coffee for now.
Lovely day out there!

OMG, Cindy, she is sooo gorgeous. She could be a model, no kidding either!!!

Kids moved today, John is in the rocking chair with Alyssa, they're both asleep, I think I'm going to have to tell him to take her to her crib before he relaxes too much and she rolls out of his arms like Kim did once. LOL. I took her up at 8:30 and there was so much commotion that Kim decided that I should take her home with me and let her sleep here. That's UNUSUAL for Kim cuz whenever I ask if she can spend the night she says, "no, she has a bed of her own." Phooey!!! She did spend 3 nights when Kim had her ear surgery, but I'd take her home when I went to work and pick her up when I got off. She's spending the night when Kim goes to State Board in Columbus cuz she and Brad are getting a hotel for the night (that's what I did too when I went for my State Board Cosmetology exam). Kim was crying when we drove away, she likes to have her home with them but knows that it's too chaotic right now. Hunter went bolting out the garage door when Brad's Mom came in cuz she's such a ditz she left the door wide open and he just bolted. Thank God no car was coming but he scared the **** out of a little girl across the street, so Kim and Brad got a chance to meet the father (LOL) and he said not to worry she's scared of ALL dogs. Hunter just wanted to play with her, but she didn't see it that way. I met the man on the other side of them, it's just he and his Mom, he seemed very nice. He liked Hunter, he joked and said they'd get along well (he was black and Hunter is a Black Lab), so he seemed to have a cute sense of humor. He said he met JOhn earlier and John told him I would be there a lot cuz of taking care of Alyssa when Kim was at work and John told him that Kim and I are joined at the hip. That's John's idea of a sense of humor, smart a$$. But, the ones that we (and Kim and Brad) have met seems nice and friendly.

The psychic was awesome today. MK, it doesn't scare me one bit cuz they don't tell you bad stuff. The other one that I went to twice passed away last fall, I found that out today from Brenda (the psychic). She hit stuff head on. The last one told things about the future that have come true since I've been there, things with my health, JOhn's work, Kim's school, etc. But they're not threatening in any way, at least the 2 that I've been to. She charges $40 per hour but they only charge you for an hour no matter how long you stay (the 2 that I've been taht way have done it like that) but I gave her $60 (was there 2 hours and 15 minutes) cuz I thought it was worth it. I had $40 that I'd taken out of the credit union and then Mom gave me $20 for Mother's Day.

So far, I've received from John a St. Francis statue for my back yard, I have it under the tree that I feed the birds and squirrels at, right outside my kitchen window so that I can look at it. And, the new Neil Diamond CD which I'm sure about made him twitch when he was paying for it cuz he can't STAND Neil Diamond. LOL. I think maybe the fact that I want to sleep with him doesn't help (haha) but he doesn't like husky voices. And, he's going to grill me a steak and have a big salad and for him to RELAX tomorrow, which was what I actually asked for. So, my Mother's day has begun well. I'm sure after Kim gets a hold on the move she'll probably have us over for dinner or something, and I can't imagine her not calling in the morning to wish me a happy mother's day, that I can pretty much bank on, that is after she wakes up, IF she wakes up. She looked very tired, she did most of the packing up, Brad did some on his day off this week, but he's been closing all week and he's had Alyssa in the morning, so he was pretty limited on his time to help.

Talk to you all tomorrow, hope you all have great Mother's days doing what you love to do.

Morning and Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks Becky and Ange - and yes, lots of people have suggested that she model; she is tall enough and thin enough, but she hates all that attention, believe it or not!

She called about 12:30 and were waiting for the gang to gather to head over to a friends house to spend the night. She said she had a lot of fun!

DH and I ended up not going out - we were tired, so splurged and had a drink here and then got Chinese....

Today - I have no idea what is going on....DH mentioned going to a movie....which he never wants to do! Not sure when DD18 will be home - and then I did tell her she could go to her DBFs for dinner since his extended family is gathering, they want to meet her and he will head back to school later tonight or tomorrow morning.

I am on my second cup of coffee; didn't sleep well last night......Any takers?

I don't know what the market is in your area, but truly, your house has not been on the market all that long - The right person will come along and see how wonderful your house is!!!! Power of positive thinking!!!!

When do you plan on heading to the States?

Happy Mother's Day to all more short friends!!!

Made Of Honor made me laugh. it wasn't the world's best movie but it was cute and it entertained us. My husband likes the romantic comedies too. Last night we went to the mall to buy graduation cards and then had dinner at PF Changs( chinese chain). It is expensive considering how little food they give you but we didn't need large portions. Then we walked around the area of the movie theater( downtown Rockville) for about 25 minutes.

Becky, moving is very stressful and the kids are lucky to have you and John. Speaking of John sounds like he gave you wonderful Mother's Day gifts.

My husband gave me running shorts and top( under Armour) a $50 Southwest Airlines gift card for future trip and a pair of undies. Is that too much information. He said something for my run, something for my bum and something for fun. Oldest gave me a $25 Itunes card. Guess I need to update the music on my Ipod and then there was this huge Strawberry Twizzler package from other boys. I mean like 2 foot long Twizzlers. I haven't really eaten candy in a few years and don't want to open it or I will eat it all and my body doesn't need it.

Cindy, your girls are both beautiful. After all they take after their mom.

Ange, the house will sell. It is taking alot longer here to sell anything.

Kaye, sounds like you are having fun with your laptop.

MK, strawberry pie and brownies yummy. We had strawberry cake for son's birthday. Lots of whipped cream!!

I am off to work as I do every mothers day. My husband is out running with some of our friends which I think is great!!!

The rain is coming back tonight and there are flood warnings because the ground is so wet. We are fine where we are but sometimes area roads we travel to get here and there flood. I have to run in the morning and would prefer not to do it if it is pouring rain.
