morning. just looked over my GOT list of things to do for tomorrow and I'm just about ready. have reminders to send out to the team during class today and then just show up tomorrow. well, and go to the cocktail party tonight *shrug*.

It really is a difficult time for a LOT of people.

Mothers Day isn't my favorite holiday either...not because I don't love being a mother, but its a yearly reminder that I never had a good relationship with my mother. But this year I'm going to focus on my kids and grandbabies and not let the past ruin the day for me.

I won't be with my mom on mother's day but I don't want to be either. I love her but being around her makes me miss my step mom. I just have no desire to spend it with her. I'll do something for her and my step dad somewhere between mother's day and father's day.

we won't be doing anything this year probably. saturday we are meeting dh's family for an early dinner at Olive Garden. sunday, dh works from 7 am to 7 pm. I may go out with the girls after church or just hang out at home. whatever they want to do.

Okay, I'm going to throw out my request for your prayers this weekend! I have sooooo many things on my plate right now and, although I know worrying does no good at all, worry is what I do best! I'm enjoying having my youngest and her family stay with us for the next 3 weeks, but its also a daily reminder that she'll be leaving soon and will be thousands of miles away from me during the holidays. Then there's the 2 new babies coming. Plus our singing schedule is soooo busy right now and the lady who sings with us is recovering from Strep so I'm worried about her voice this weekend. And to top it off we need to make a decision about our next project that involves ego vs. money. So when you're praying, please say a prayer for me, mkay??

And if I haven't told ya lately.....I deeply treasure my friendship with each of you! God has given you to me for a very special purpose and this side of Heaven, you are absolutely some of my earthly treasures!

I just told dd19 I am going to a pre race cocktail party tonight (was letting her know where I'd be and what I had planned for their dinner if I'm gone before she gets home in case she is eating dinner here). Told her my co coach is picking me up so the van will be here even though I won't be.

she said "designated driver, huh?". that cracked me up because she knows I don't drink, lol.
