~~~Yogourt~~May 2008 the Whey we like it~~~
It's a new month and a new thread...I'm still swamped and looking forward to some normalcy next week
So this morning at 7:40 Kate tells me she needs a snack for her entire class......it's for an impromptu party they are having for their student teacher who is leaving today and she only found out yesterday but honestly......we stopped at 7/11 for a bag of Smartfood...not very homey but it will do....I had to drop both kids including the stop at the store and I still made it here by 8:01......good thing I didn't get stopped for speeding....
Have a great day friends
Hooray Hooray 1st of May!! WooHoo Another month is upon us although this day really brings back alot of tough memories..
Today is the day 1 year ago that my grand daughter; Phoenix passed away after being with us for only 2 short weeks..... I was tense last night in bed and then remembered it was a year ago @ 12:33am that I got the call from dear daughter telling me her baby passed away.... It seems like just yesterday those memories but we all are thankful we @ least had a short time with Phoenix. So to all good day and if you could send a prayer to my DD because I know today will be a tough day for her and all of us actually. God Bless and will BBL........ ROCKIN'
Good morning everyone. It is sunny and cool today.
Robin.....They say that memories fade with the years. They never faded for me. So many days on the calendar bring back memories for me. You will always remember this day and your little granddaughter. I am glad that you can remember the 2 weeks that you did have her.
Lise....Wayne sounds so much better when we talk to him. I guess knowing what is wrong helps. I hope he gets better soon.
Rise and shine everyone. I did my official weigh in this morning. Down another 1.8ish. Not sure if that will stick. TOM has arrived...bleech. I wasn't hungry much last night....so, eh, we shall see. We have a church picnic Sunday and I'm sure my DH will want to eat out tonight or tomorrow. He sabotages me as much as possible....so, I'm used to that.
Check with you chickies later. I'm really dragging today...so, snail's pace doesn't get you very far.
Morning troops- Rise N Shine.... Well it's finally Friday- woohoo love it- woke up to rain this morning BUT not gonna complain cause it is better than snow!! Back is very sore today so taking it easy and unfortunately there is no way I will be able to walk the 3+ miles tomorrow so gonna have to bow out for that but @ least I donated the money to a good cause so thats the main thing. DH is leaving @ 4am tomorrow morning to go wild turkey hunting w/a friend of his to a place about 4 hrs from here.. Which is fine since he will be gone all day Sat and not home till late, late and Sat I am having my baby shower for DD and Ethan- so no guys allowed anyhow so it worked out great!! I am having it @ 6pm w/light hors doeuvres & wine sampling so it should be fun- I am having just a small crowd so it will be a good time and the baby book I got DD @ Hallmark is so cute... anyhow off for now will ck in later.... happy to report I've done pretty good OP this week so very proud of myself for that!! BBL ROCKIN' p.s. Boy does my body feel rough today- did one of you guys run over it yesterday?!?
Good morning everyone. It is raining here. It is not the best day for DD to start her yard sale.
There isn't much going on here. I will go over to the sale this afternoon but that is about all. I have a very dull life. I think that is a lot of my trouble. I am so glad I can read all your posts. It gives me something to think about.
Robin...does your fitness center have a pool? I think it would be great for you to swim to help ease the bouncing on your spine. Or, you could do the elliptical machine or recumbent bike?
Lise and Niki...I agree....YAWN. At least it doesn't feel like a Monday again. I've had a lot of Mondays this week.
Joyce...I think we are supposed to get up to 81 here in my part of WV. Hope you get close to that as well!
Lil...I know it's hard to be patient for good weather! Soon you will be puttering in your garden and flowers and walking Smokey around your track.
afternoon to all- quick ck in to say hi and see how we all are doing this TGIF day. Back is still VERY stiff n' sore so the odds of me walking tomorrow in the 5k do not look to promising BUT if it is not to sore I'm still gonna go there @ 7:30am and maybe volunteer doing something- I'm sure I can find something to do or better yet I can be the social butterfly to everyone participating and tk them for their efforts... so we'll see how the massage and back feels tomorrow! ok later
ROWDY1- no it is a small club and no pool but they have ellipticals and recumbant bikes so I'll have to start with those next week and expand my horizons beyond aerobics all the time.... 2 hrs 43 min till massage time
Happy Saturday everyone. Not much new here. Image DGS will be here today since they are getting ready for their vacation next Wednesday. Plus DSIL has finals coming up. Weather is overcast right now, but suppose to be 80 today. I don't think yesterday got past 70 with the overcast we had off and on, but did manage some time in the hammock. We rented 27 Wedding Dresses yesterday and that was sorta cute, but truly a chick's flick.
Ok, got to get out of this house before I go crazy. DH is gone to a class for Ham Radio.
Good morning everyone. It is cloudy and looks like it could rain any minute.
I went to DD's yard sale this morning. I didn't think they would have many there but the cars were lined up down both sides of the highway. There were 4 girls looking after everything and they were all very busy. DD lives on a back road so she had the sale at a house on the highway. I spent most of my time in the house drinking coffee with neighbours that I seldom see.
Her sons-in law built shelters of two by fours and tarps to protect the stuff from the rain. They had a lot of stuff there. I don't need any more junk but I did buy 5 jigsaw puzzles.
I hope you are all having a good weekend.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Lil...I don't shop much at yard sales. I never seem to find anything. But, many of my friends are pros at getting great stuff. I also never seem to make any decent money when I have one either.
Toodles for now!! Busy cleaning ya know.
Joyce...you are up early!
Time to do the Sunday school and church thang. I'm the kids SS teacher again this week.
Check you chickies out later.
BTW, my 1.8ish loss for the week didn't stick...TOM ya know. I'm staying positive but am not going to weigh myself until Tuesday so I can be sure TOM effects are gone!
I did have 2 pieces of my favorite pizza yesterday and it make my weight shoot up like 2 1/2 lbs.!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone. We had a very bad wind storm last night and another one this morning. It was almost a tornado. It is still windy this morning but it has stopped raining.
I stopped at DD's yard sale on the way home from church. She had set up her DH's brand new canvas garage and last night it blew away. She had it set alongside a horse trailer for protection. The wind lifted it up over the horse trailer and threw it in the ditch across the highway. The poles were broken amd the canvas ripped. All the stuff she had inside it was soaked. They are not having very good luck. So far they have sold over $1100.00. There are two of them going to walk for two days for the cancer fund. They need $2000.00 each to enter the walk so they have a long way to go.
