Hey everyone what up? Well the interview in NY went really well so I guess now it's just wait time. My inside guy said everyone was really impressed so who knows. I had 7 interviews in 6 straight hours so I was seriously exhausted.

Plane was delayed at LaGuardia about 2 hours because of all the craziness in Colorado this week. Got in at about 4:30am so needless to say it was a good time.

Held on to the diet quite nicely despite the amazing (free) food around me at all times. Snacked on cheese slices and salad and stuff. Tucked a few Atkins bars in my bag for emergencies.

Anyway I ate so little I expect the scale to have moved by Monday regardless! Hope you all have a great long weekend!

What's up guys? Well, it's Monday morning, did well this week. I lost 2.4 lbs. this week. Not sure how, but I did. I think the workouts I've been doing have really helped. Hey Ken, that cardio portion of the power90 kicked my a#$. I am not exactly coordinated. Heading down to DC to do the Memorial Day thing, then visiting some fellow Marines later in the day. Just finished the day's workout and heading to the girlfriend's house to roll out for the day. I've got 2 more lbs. to go in the next 6 days to make the 10 for the month. I don't think the Marine Corp. has USMC-issued thongs. Have a great and safe holiday guys and a good day at work for our Canadien bud (Ken).

Monday weigh in.

5/19 - 361

5/26 - 356

I had a good week. My goal for the month is to be 350. I might not be there exactly, but I should get real close.

Keith - Nice job. Have fun in DC.

Ken - I used to work at a custom wood shop and my boss had some saying like, "The mark of a true craftsman is not so much in the craft, but in the ability to correct or hide the mistakes".

Good luck fellas.

Hey Guys,

Hope your all having a good holiday.

5/19 - 203.6
5/26 - 201.2

Thought it'd be more but I'll take it. Took my youngest son on a good bike ride on Saturday and am happy to say my ass still hurts. Did pretty good for and old fart. We went down this dirt road up the street and then at the end of that we hit this trail in the woods for about 2 miles then did about 7 miles on the road with some killer hills. We had to hoof it up one hill it was just do damned long.

Yesterday took DW on a ride with my BIL's and SIL over to Newport RI on the Harley's for lunch/dinner. Nice ride, took all the back roads and it took us a couple hours to get there.

Going to fire up the grill today and cook up some ribs and just chill around the house.

Have a great day everyone Ed out.

First weigh-in for a while - 199.

Yesterday at church, one of the guys wore his old Navy officer's uniform for the memorial day service. The rest of us were amazed and envious, because he could still fit into it.

ok this is the last im gonna bark about it, my douchebag boss called a few minutes ago, said the lame reasons he gave the other guy the job, i think swallowing might have been a pre-requisite, anyhow, he even went on to say if i challenge it with a grievance i may win, but in the end i wont, because he will say he needs every requirement of the job fulfilled, in which i dont have every single one of them,

my buddy at work had the grievance already drafted up, he has less faith than I , so im on my way to work to sign it and send it in,

ok thats it no more about that from me!!!!

funny enough ive had 2 other job offers the last 2 months, problem is both were shift work, and 1 was a bit of a distance, im gonna call the other one and see about an interview

This week: +9

I really dont know what to say. Well yes I do, there is a point in the main board about why I think this happened. Honestly I'm pissed off at myself. This seems to happen to me once I reach about this point. I fall completely off that wagon.

I think the catalyst was my girlfriends birthday and the weekend we spent out in Mahnomen at the casino. I coulda done a better job, especially when we got back into town, but the train wreck of a weekend just continued.

Strict induction this week and next as well as a lot of gym time. Hopefully I can break my own curse.

Side note, after seeing those numbers this morning, I honestly thought about not posting and going awol for a week or two.

Here's a link to the thing I posted on the main board:

Adam congrats on getting over that hurdle its all down hill from here.

CTI don't be so hard on yourself. Probably a lot of water retention. Give it a couple days of clean eating. We're only human man sh*t happens. Just get back on and keep moving forward.

Ken your boss sounds like a typical A hole. Sounds like he knows he doesn't have a leg to stand on if you greive it and he's fishing for how your going to handle it. Id greive it and stick right up his arse.

Hey Doug good to see you back.

Great work guys keep it up.

Adam, congrats on the milestone, you gotta be real happy, and focused now!!

keith, good to see the power90 wipes other people out too, wife thought i was crazy when i said i wanted a sweat band, then she saw my forehead after it

Another week, still stuck. I was pretty good over the weekend. A fwe too many beers, but avoided bad foods. I'll just keep on doing it. Stalls are inevitable...

Adam, congrats on the 200's! Keep doing it and you'll see the numbers keep drop.

CTI, glad to see you didn't go AWOL. After an f-up, getting back on track as soon as possible is the best you can do. As one who is familiar with f-ups, I bet you'll be back to last weeks weight sometime this week.

So in an effort to get back on the horse I have revamped my workouts. I am going to keep the 3/2 split with optional weekends (that schedule seems to work best for me) but up the different kinds of lifts/reps. Tonight was the first night of this, and I can already feel my muscles getting sore; that good kind of sore, hopefully I didn’t kill myself for work in the morning. Here is my new routine:

Monday: Chest/Triceps/Shoulders/Traps

Chest

Barbell Bench
Incline Barbell Bench
Decline Barbell Bench
Hammer Incline Dumbbell Bench
Dumbbell flat Bench

Triceps

Dips
Dumbbell Extensions
Press Downs
Hammer Extensions

Shoulders

Front Plate Raise
One Arm Side Deltoid Raise
One Arm Front Deltoid Raise
Military Press
Barbell Press Behind Head

Traps

Cable Upright Row
Dumbbell Shrugs

Tuesday: Cardio/Abs

30-45 min cardio on some machine of my choosing, most likely ellipitcal as my knees dont like running
Weighted Crunches
Oblique Crunches
Wednesday:

Wednesday: Glutes/Calf/Hamstrings/Quads

Glutes
Leg Lifts
Cable Kickbacks

Calf
Leg Press Calf Raise
Seated Calf Raise

Hamstrings
Leg Press
Seated Leg Curl

Quads
Leg Press
Leg Extension

Thursday: Cardio/Abs (See Tuesday)

Friday: Biceps/Back/Forearms

Biceps
Preacher Curls
Dumbbell Curls
Hammer Curls
Concentration Curls

Back
Weight Assisted Pullups
Low Row
Wide Grip Pull Downs
V-Bar Pull Downs

Forearms
Dumbbell Wrist Flippers
Barbell Wrist Curls
Reverse Barbell Preacher Curl

Weekends: Off/optional full body/cardio days

I usually take weekends off, however I've been bored these last few weekends, I may decide to go in an do a light full body workout. Basically pick one exercise from each group and do it with about 1/2 the normal weight.

I hope this new routine will help kick me back into action. This is a slightly more intense version of what I've already been doing so I know it works. It seems to help to have a plan going into something rather than just trying to make it up as I go along. If anyone wants to throw something into the mix I've left out, feel free.

CTI - That looks like a thorough workout. Very similar to my routine when I was lifting a few years back. I am going to print it out, since I know I am going to start lifting again soon. I also like to go into the gym with a plan, I pretty much plan every thing I am going to do before I go in the door. Right now I'm just mess around with a few dumbells at home.

wow CTI , it does look like a good workout

and like BigD said, those extra lbs will most likely be off this week, they went on fast, they will come off just as fast, keep the frame of mind you have now!

just woke up, got the tiling today, kinda hesitant since i f'ed it up once before and ripped it out, but im gonna plough ahead once the little one goes to school

here is my weekly dudes

5/19/2008 237.2
5/27/2008 232.4

There is still a slim chance Ill hit 10lb loss for the month.

CTI, just think...with that routine and you feeding yourself with clean foods. Wow. What a change you'll see. How much longer are you going to be in NoDak? Which basically is the eating out restuarant capital of the world. Nothing to do there but shove food down your grease trap. Believe me, I know...

For myself:
I did 18 miles on the bike Sunday. In about an hour 10 minutes. And about 7 hard ones Friday night. (that doesnt sound right for some reason)

Stopped at the fitness club I pass everyday on my way to work and took a tour. They are advertising $99 for 3 months. Comes with personal training, classes, a pool, etc... I think thisll be a good chance for me to learn how to exercise. Something frankly, Ive never really known how to do very well.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. Something I left out on the work outs was reps. If you notice, there is usually one lift in eat muscle group that is a general lift that works the main muscle as well as all the stabilizer muscles surrounding it. It then breaks down into smaller muscles. For the core lifts I plan/do my sets as follows; 12, 10, 8, 6 (with the 8 and 6 set till failure). Each following lift for that muscle group is a standard 8, 8, 8 sets with the last one till failure or either an isometric of the lift.

Wall- if you ever get into grand forks, head over to the Cigar Lounge (right next to Rydell chevy. They have a good assortment in there, my favorite right now is the nording rubusto. Trying to get my humidor stocked up as cigars are really expensive in Washington. Also I know what you mean about the clothes. I put on one of my dress/button down shirts from when I came back and interviewed for my inital job back here. It literally looks like a dress on me, each side of the shirt wraps around to almost my back. Thats a good sign right?

adam, i had to google what you wrote, i had no clue what that meant, !!

just finished up one bag of tile mortar, got about 60 sqft of tile down, so far im real happy, ive got this nifty little tool called a Tavy Tile Puck, you just run it across the tiles and if you hear no click between the tiles then the edges are pretty even, makes it go by fast and you dont have lippage problems later!

check it out if any of you tile, its like $10 at Lowes

Hey Guys...Harley Checking in.

Had a pretty good weekend....went to the parents house near Fargo, ND. Came back on Sat. Night and had a pretty bad storm here on Sunday afternoon. Had some hail damage to the house and garage, but nothing too bad.
I am going to start doing the decorative rock around my house this weekend. I spent all last summer working on a retaining wall and now I am going to tackle the rock. I am renting a Bob Cat to help move some rock, so it shouldn't be too bad. I will post some before pictures of the wall I took last fall and then I can post some after pictures once I am done.

Take Care!

Harley Out!
