Well......

Since everyone is quiet...I'm going to go and take a nap.

For some reason, this week has seemed thougher on my body, than prior weeks, with the sleep deprivation in my life.

Morning gals:

The numbers are looking good for Holland. We're still trying to navigate the immigration rules. There are a couple possibilities and a backup plan, but the backup plan does not allow hubby to work for awhile. There are twists and turns on the two possibilities. There are things we need to get started on now, so that everything will go smoothly when our window opens up in 1286 days.

I think our main reasons for wanting to move are:
1. financial security (especially with hubby's RA)
2. family

I'm still doing ok on my woe. I've been stuck at 199 but I'm glad I'm stuck in onederland at least. I'm sure this will pass. I have had mexican a few too many times and some carbier meals and I just need to get that out of my system. Hey, at least I am getting some wear out of my clothes before moving down sizes.

I'm also not unhappy at my size, if I stay here, I'd be ok with it, even though I'd like to move down further. I am out of the big girl clothes now and back into normal sizes.

I was talking to someone who's just been on a cycling holiday in Holland, and was telling me about cycling through lots of beautiful little villages. It made reminded me of you and your plans, Pear. I hope it can all be worked out.

You still have a lot of time here. So, please do not forget the day you are in, or you'll waste the "good" days for the next 1,286 days. The time will come, and it will come more quickly if you "try" to find the positive things about your current days.
Thats good advice, Click, I was actually thinking about that this morning. We need to enjoy the time we are here, while we are here and not be too fixated on the future. I've been fixating and I need to stop that.

Thanks!

That's good. After all, there are some great things about America, and if your time there is limited, you should make the most of them while you're there. Not to mention, you'll all be happier .

Plan for the Future, but live for today.

Boy, do I feel the truth in that today. 2 Dear people close to us died. One 28 and one 53.

Stop and smell the Roses, Pear. You might have to look hard for them at first, but they are there.

Pear!!!! I'm happy that you seem to have things worked out. I would not know where to start with everything. What all do you have to do...that would take over 1200 days? It's good that you have a back up plan. I'm excited for you. I can tell that you are really looking forward to this journey. How do you move your "things" that far? Will your girls be moving with you?

That is good that you are happy with yourself...your current weight. However, do not allow the carb creep to occur, or it will come back on. Also, setting weight and size aside....PLEASE make sure and monitor how you "feel" while eating more carbs.

I'm still oil pulling. I have had some times like you, where I let it go by the way-side and BOY there is a difference quick. Hey, don't feel guilty, those are learning experiences.

I think the Oil actually does a number of things. It protects, it coats, it cleans etc...

Tradictional Soaps are made from FATS/OILS

After what I have learned, I will never use soap on my skin again.

Seriously.

That's neat...Pear!!!!! Are the houses "different" there? I couldn't help, but to notice the stairs.

Also, by living and owning a home here....

If everything is more affordable there...will you be pretty much "set" after selling your home here?

We'll likely be giving away most of our things and getting a container for the rest to take along. We can't take any appliances since the electricity is different there. We'll probably take over some of Andre's grandmother's things once we're there. She's 90, and if she passes away, they will save her furniture and appliances for us.

I'm still low carb, and I hope to lose more, I'm just saying if I dont, its ok. Since this is a way of eating and not a diet, I do allow myself to have some of the things I love. Things like tomato sauce, salsa, chili no beans have more carbs but are allowed too. I just may have scooped up more than I should.

With the market dropping as it is, there may or may not be anything left over financially from our house when we move. We dont have alot of equity in our house right now. I hope the market recovers by then.

The ladder you see in the picture is the stairs that go to the attic. There is a normal set of stairs from the first floor to the second. (Normal, although narrower and steeper than the stairs here, space is always at a premium).

I don't know about the rest of Europe, but house prices are falling here at the moment, so you may not be any worse off, if they're doing the same in Holland.
