Debbie, you totally need a crock pot. You can brown things and then put them in the crock pot for the rest of the day. You can leave things in it to stay warm, I put spiced cider in it in the winter and everyone helps themselves. Chicken tacos are good fixed in them too or chili.
tanks!
I LOVE my crock pot! A roast with lots of veggies, spanish rice, coconut chicken, mexican chicken, pork and veggies, seafood delite (throw the seafood in only for the last 30 minutes)-you name it, the crock pot can cook it!

Debbie - I love my crock - chicken comes out nicely, roasts, stews, soups.....the best part is, you throw it in and forget about it!

Ange! And too.
Dr. Who is SOOOOO cool!!!

Stupid code! I wanna take a nap, too!

Ange, that can't be a pic of you cuz there's no piercings on that girl.

Went to the funeral, we left around 11:40 and got home about an hour ago. They gave him a 21 gun solute and taps since he was a Navy vet. So sad to hear that. Step-father-in-oaw is taking it pretty hard, so his one of step-dads sisters and her husband. They were very close, when step-dad's father passed away when he was 12 he spent a lot of time with the Conleys, so the 7 boys were like his brothers. It was a very tight-knit family.

Talk to you all later, John is getting ready to grill steaks. YUMMO!!! And we're having large salads so I'm going to cut my steak (N.Y. Strip) up and have a steak salad.

Just finished watching "Juno". What a great movie! Endearing characters and great dialogue. We laughed a lot but it was bittersweet. Enjoyed it very much.
My favorite line was about getting a Chinese baby "they're giving them away like free IPods, shooting them out of T-shirt guns...." LOLOLOL.
Good movie. Thanks for demanding I watch it, even if we had to check the video store every day this week until we finally got a copy today!

Roast beef came out great and it sounds like you all had nice dinners too!
Except Ange probably couldn't taste hers!

Must get the girls to the shower and find clothes for them tomorrow. The sunset out back is a bright orange ball in a pink sky, just beautiful!

I can taste food with my cold but I really can't smell. Took care of a alcoholic today he supposedly smelled like alcohol and I couldn't smell him. My brisket was good by the way. My youngest won't eat it. He had soup, matzah and the choreset( apple stuff he likes). That is the thing with the crock pot. My son is such a picky eater. He doesn't eat chili, stew or roasts. He will eat turkey or chicken. He doesn't eat beef unless it is in a burger.

Off to watch John Adams. I am glad to be home early!! Good day to work today because it rained alot. Work was very busy!!

Debbie, what are you doing watching my husband???. His name is John Adams. LOL.

Mmmm, the steak that John cooked was excellent. Just had a sugar free sundae with sugar free low carb "ice cream" (Breyers), sugar free hot fudge sauce.

Went to put another load in the dryer and it won't work. I'm hoping it just needs to cool off. But, I about broke my toe on the door frame. Gads, I hurt like a son of a gun!!! I just went and checked and the dryer started, thank GOD, we are too low right now to get the dryer fixed if it hadn't started.

My Oscar (fish) is dying. And Alyssa LOVES him. I wait til she's here to feed it so that she can do it. When he finally takes his last breath I'm going to move the frogs (2 albino and 1 african frog, they're water frogs) up to the big tank and I think I will get some goldfish. I want something that lives a while. I had this guy about 5 years. I have a striped talking (he sounds like he's barking) catfish that I got the month before we moved in this house in 1988. He's so old he's ugly. My parrot Adam, remember the one that had the tumor on his toe? he will be 21 on May 16. The vet estimated him to be 2-3 years old when I got him, he's a wildcaught from Argentina, so I don't know exactly how old he is, but their lifespan is about 25 years, so I don't know how long I will have him. He looks old, he gets around great, but his eyes look old. I don't realize it til I take a trip down to the bird farm in Bellbrook and see the young Blue Crown Conures and then I realize just how old he really looks. Every morning when I turn the light off he's got one of the cockatiel brothers smashed against the cage bars because he sits so close to him. I wonder if Gabe ever pokes Adam and tells him to move over? That's what I do with John at night.
