Good Morning Beach Pals!
I won't go into detail about all the off plan foods I had yesterday. Suffice it to say that I am back on track today. Speaking of track, today is a track meet day. I was unprepared to I am having a SB meal replacement bar for dinner tonight! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. Kelly - You are a braver woman than I, tackling the cleaning up/out of a garage w/the DH. I leave that to my DH. Or if I want to get in there and clean and wait until he is not home! Neesie - I have not found/tried the diabetesweet yet. I wanted it for the trail mix I made, but I've found that I have portion control issues w/it and probably won't be making it for myself again. Renee - Have a great week at curves. Cindy & Kristi - Hoping to try to make the baked otatmeal today! (after track) Dani - the new pic! You look soooo great! Marsha - lady!Well gotta get to work!

Happy Monday Beachers!
![]() Up a pound over the weekend but I expected it after all the pizza I ate. Thank goodness I can only get it in Mass because I love it so much! ![]() Do you guys believe I did no pre-prep cooking at all this weekend? Nothing! I have to get out of that pattern cause we are just not in the house on the weekends in the summer unless it's raining. I'll have to start pre-making my meals on week nights again - though even that will be difficult. Luckily DH does alot of barbcueing so there's not alot of pre-prep required. ![]() I had planned on a week of phase 1 but I've decided not to do phase 1 after today. It's not getting me anywhere so I've decided to go in the other direction but on plan of course! Starting tomorrow (I'm at work and everything I packed is P1) I am going to a full phase 2 - 1 grain and 1 fruit a day. I'm expecting I may have an initial gain but hopefully that triggers some type of loss afterward. Keep your fingers crossed girls! Did interval training at the gym and have a measure on Friday. Not looking forward to that since nothing's moved in months!! Something's gotta give soon (eventually?) so I'll just keep plugging along! ![]() Tina - Did you try Target for the sugar? That's where I found it - or are you just not gonna buy it cause it's a trigger? I'd only use it for baking anyway but I think I'm going to look for it today at Shaws. ![]() Cindy - love the thread pic! Today's menu: B: tea / LSV8 S: broccoli/cheese quiche L: Tuna / dressing / salad S: Cheesecake fluff D: broiled slamon / cole slaw S: NSA fudgesicle Have a great day at work girls ![]() Neesie

doing another quick check-in. . .
Neesie - for going into a full phase 2. I hope things work out for you. I think it's a positive step for you. Since 1.5 hasn't done anything for ya for several months, I hope this is just the ticket for ya! About the diabetesweet, I will purchase it if I find it. Everytime I get near our Target I forget about it! I think I'll give them a call to see if they carry it. I think it would be good in the oatmeal protein bars instead of regular splenda. ![]() Cindy - Have you tried freezing your baked oatmeal? Are you making it like bars? I got my new Rx filled on Sat. So more bloodwork in 6 weeks! ![]() Kristi - where did you find the dried fruit w/o the sugar added to it? ok back to work! |

Good morning beachers!
First of all, Happy Belated Birthday to Tina! ![]() Congrats to Neesie for doing so well on your test! I hope moving on to phase 2 works out great for you and gets things moving again. Dani: You look so beautiful in your new pic! You actually remind me of my mom (in a good way b/c she's gorgeous!) She has dark hair and white, porcelain-like skin. I think it's a beautiful combination. Thanks to Cindy for starting us up this week. That beach picture makes me wanna cry when I think that I am waaaaay too far away from any beaches. Well ladies, I woke up at 930 this a.m. and completely forgot that I had set up an advising appointment for 9am. I felt so bad! I wrote it down on my calendar here at home and set a reminder on my cell phone, but my cell phone broke two days ago (so I obviously didn't get the reminder) and now I'm using DH's extra cell until I can get a new phone. The problem is that I don't want to get a new phone through Sprint because I was planning on switching to Verizon this year once my contract ends. Uggh! Anyway, when I woke up this morning I was trying to figure out what to make for lunch and I thought, "oh we still have some SB pizzas." Then I thought to myself, no dummy, you're supposed to be starting ph1 today, so I went downstairs to find something to defrost. I am so absent minded sometimes. DH loves to make fun of me about it. Anyway, I have to get lunch started plus I still have some homework to finish. to everyone I missed!

Good Morning Beachers,
I am down another pd today !! I guess all the hardwork cleaning and drinking lots of fluids helped me out. I plan to drink more again today, in order to make my goal tomorrow, I need to lose 2 pds, I dont think thats going to happen, but hey a girl can wish, I will be darn close anyway. Dh and I have a great evening last night, I had him give me a full body massage with almond oil, let me tell you that felt so good!! If you ladies havent tried it, you should. I slept like a baby. I watched the latest I can make you thin episode. He says the average overweight person takes 2000 less steps per day than a normal weight person. He suggested getting a pedometer to see how many you are taking, he said normal weight people take 6000 steps per day, but really you should get it closer to 10000 steps per day to help lose weight. Does anyone use one of these? I might go buy one today just to see. Anyway I hope you gals have a great Monday, the sun is shining here, wish I didnt have to work, I would love to go for a nice long walk, maybe I will do that this evening after work if it stays nice. Here is my menu from yesterday: b- baked oatmeal s- sausage patty l- crackslaw s- cheesecake fluff d- crackslaw d- lc ice cream & cococa flax cookie Kelly

Hi peeps!
![]() Amazing how one day back on track can make me feel. I felt so energy less and punky yesterday (is punky a real word?). Todays Menu: B- piece of bbq chicken, 1/2 boiled egg (wasn't doing anything for me) S- green tea with lime L- josephs flax and oat bran pita with alfredo sauce, lf cheese S- more green tea with lime, peanuts D- rotisserie pork, huge salad of pear, walnuts and blue cheese with greens, ff vinegrette Walk dog for at least 20 minutes. I am starting P 1.5 today instead of P1 again. I am on board with Neesie upping hers to P2. I think P1 is getting too much like Atkins for me and it ain't working. I'll just start with a very small amount of fruit and a grain. See how this week goes on that. Btw Kelly what is crackslaw? ![]() have a great evening everyone...

Thank you all for your compliments on my new picture
Vero- I love when people call my skin porcelain...beats pale and white any day! ![]() Kelly- Congrats on your pound down! ![]() Tina, Cindy, Neesie, Renee and the rest of the Vets lurking out there. ROLL CALL ![]() I've changed my signature to reflect my gain. This morning I weighed 161.6 pounds. I think I reported last week that I've been going up and down with the same 5 pounds. I've been doing a clean Phase 1 all day. I will not be meeting my tax day goal, but I am optimistic that w/2 weeks of Phase 1 and more exercise I can back into the groove. My arms, stomach and thighs are sore from my hour workout yesterday. (Callanetics) I'm taking today off from exercise and will be at yoga class tomorrow after work. Have a great afternoon ladies!

Evening, Beachers.
I know, I know. I failed to check in yesterday so I lost my points. I also made some roasted chick peas but used italian seasoning and hot pepper. OMG - they are soooo good - so good that I had to put them away so I wouldn't eat them all. Have to buy more beans!!!! Today starts the dreaded afternoon shift so I'll be posting in the evenings for a while. Walked in at 1:15 only to find STACKS of work that, of course, have to be done today. Well, I'll get done what I can by midnight and then it's too bad. I'm usually not real hungry on this shift but today is different. All I want to do is munch! When I'm done here, I'll be having dinner so maybe that will settle me down. Eats so far: B - homemade veg. soup (I ate around the potatoes) S - 1 oz. walnuts, 2 dark chocolate kisses, 2 sm. pcs. oatmeal bar, cheese stick D - veg. soup, salad w/egg and lf ranch, ss/ff choc. pudding S - apple, ?? The good thing is I'm over my water intake for the day (100 oz. so far). That's an event in my book. Tina - Even if it is belated - hope you had a great day. Dang, I don't think I can even remember my 30s. Calories/carbs/etc. don't count on your BD right? We'll see about the thyroid test. I don't know if they'll do it if I just call in but I'll try. Something has to be going on cause I haven't been eating THAT badly and the weight just keeps creeping up. I hate menopause. Oops, gotta go - someone just walked in. BBL

Hi girls
![]() I got my hour walk in today! I'm so proud. I walked first one dog, then the other for each a half hour. And they move right along! Ate my planned menu also which is great. Except my salad greens were "rusty" so I had to just make a fruit salad with pears, strawberries and kiwi and put some vinegrette on it. Not too bad, but the gorgonzola was tasty on it. Marsha those chick peas sound yummy. I made them once with just garlic salt but didn't think they were all that. I'll have to try them again. Tina so sorry your DS is home sick. I hate when my kids are sick ![]() |

Hi girls!! Happy Monday
I'm finally able to do a check in with you all, and I am happy to say I was OP all weekend!! Weekends can be hard sometimes, but it feels so good to make those right choices! Cindy: Good Job on the fruit yesterday! ![]() Tina: No, I haven't tried freezing the baked oatmeal...I cut mine into 4 big pieces (so each serving has 1/2 cup oatmeal) for breakfasts and I find they last perfectly fine in the frig thoughout the week. I found dried apricots with no sugar added at Walmart. They are yummmy! Neesie: I think that is a great idea to go forward with phase 2. I will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you! ![]() Kelly: Congrats for being down another pound!!! You are so close! I have tried a pedometer before. They are kinda fun, and it definitely made me want to move and walk around more just to add extra steps in...and those extra steps really add up!! Im so glad you and DH had a good night last night! ![]() Dani: I lovvvve your picture too!! good job on all your exercise, I'm sure you will be able to get those 5 pounds off soon! ![]() Here is my menu for today: B: baked oatmeal, cottage cheese L: chicken wrap, 1% milk S: yogurt and berries D: cauli pizza, salad S: apple w/npb I did a turbo jam workout today Talk to ya ladies later!

Now - where was I before I was so rudely interrupted.
Neesie - I'm with you - I can't do the one-and-done. I'm one-and-where's-the-rest-of-them. My eating has become obsessive and I can't figure out why. Congrats on the test. What an achievement for you. Bet you're proud. Cindy - What a great story about Rory. He's going to be so spoiled in a few weeks that he'll definitely be KING of the household. How sweet. Dani - the new avi. I didn't realize your hair was that long. I'm so jealous. Porcelain, pasty, whatever it's all the same - you're too white just like me. Let's go tanning with Cindy. They would probably throw us all out if that ever happened. ![]() Lilymo - You have to take into consideration that I like dumb things like soy nuts, corn nuts, popcorn kernels so this was right up my alley. I was saving my one-and-only can of chick peas for a special salad that I kept putting off making. So I said, what the heck and roasted them. I didn't use garlic cause DH doesn't like it. I also left them sit in the oven for a bit over an hour after the were done (turn the oven off and let them sit). Delish!!! Kelly - I'm impressed. I have REAL problems working with DH. He just sees things differently than I do - but it drives me up a wall. You should be proud of yourself for hanging in there with him. BTW, DH now says that he doesn't want to do the WATP video with me!!! I was so excited about that. He seems to have a short memory about leg cramps and being out of shape. I've done a mile the past 3 mornings and I'm going to build up week by week. I'll laugh at him when I'm in better shape than him. Men, they're such bone-heads sometimes. He'll get no sympathy the next time he has cramp problems. I think I'm about talked out. to all I missed. Talk to you all tomorrow. |

Hi ladies!
Looks like we're all checking in a little more, yey! I didn't go to the gym today, so I didn't weigh in with shoes&clothes, which is what I usually do. I weighed in nekked on my little scale here at home and it still shows me at 174. I found that very strange since my eating lately has been filled with grains, so I put one of my workout weights on there, but it read it accurately, so I guess it's right. I'm definitely not gonna argue it! I just took a shower and I'm still working on things for school. I can't wait for this semester to be over...ay, ay, ay! Today's exercise: none Today's menu: B:none (what a surprise) L: shredded chicken breast w/ tomato sauce, jalapenos, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers; ff refried beans w/ part-skim mozzarella S: handful of peanuts D: chicken nuggets w/ a cup of chili w/ onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, lf cheddar Goodnight to everyone! |

Good Morning Beachers!
yesterdays eats: b - 2 eggs s - celery w/NPB l - SB SW chicken sandwich kid, 10 dark choco m&ms s - cheese stick d - lean burger w/lettuce, tomato, mustard, lc ketchup on a RR, salad w/ranch and ff cheese s - to much NPB and 1/2 apple I had the munchies last night soooo badly, I think because I didn't get enough to eat during the day yesterday. I'm better prepared today. In the main lobby they are raving about the egg cream recipe. I am giving it a try this morning. It's 2 eggs, 1/2 c milk (they used cream, I'm using skim milk), 2 T sf syrup of your choice, (I used starbucks mocha), and 4-6 oz of coffee. I just tasted it and it is good. I was kinda leary of the raw eggs but you can't even taste them. DS has a chorus program at school tonight. Dinner is gonna have to be something quick. I think taco salads should do the trick. Ok, back to work! |
