Tina - how do you mix the egg cream??? Just stir or whip or what? Is the coffee hot? I want one, can you tell?
Also, sometimes I add splenda to my fruit and cottage, sometimes not. Today I had peaches and cottage, added splenda and cinnamon - it was really good! Kelly - glad the appt went well - and I surely bet that your cholesterol numbers would be down! Got a Rory report today and I guess he is loving his new home and she said she wouldn't sugar coat it at all.....said her parents (who both have minor health issues) are SO happy and it's so good to see them focusing on Rory rather than their health. She also told me what a wonderful thing my family did for her family! ![]()

Cindy - I put mine in the blender this morning, but I really don't think you have too. I nuked mine to make it hot. It was warm with the warm coffee. Some of the people on the egg cream thread were making theirs cold and even like a shake w/crushed ice. I don't really think you'd need to use a blender if you whip it really well by hand. Microwaving it didn't bother it at all. I think it would be good iced also.
![]() Kelly - Glad your appt went well! It would be awesome for all of us to meet up in person!

LADIES!!!
Great news, I mean, GREAT NEWS!!! DH just received orders and we're moving back to TEXAS!!! I was actually the one who found out because I've been checking online everyday for the past month. Well, right before class I pulled out my laptop, and sure enough, we got orders!!! We have to be at ft hood by aug 10. I'm gonna be down in texas from june 12 till july 4 anyway, so I think I might just stay down there with my sister. I'm trying to get everything figured out because now I have to apply to a university down there and I'm praying that most of my credits tranfer. Anyway, I have to get back to studying for the test I'm taking tonight, but I thought I'd hop in and share the news with my friends. BBL for indies!!! Oh, P.s. at lunch today DH wanted me to eat off plan with him to celebrate and I said, "no way, jose" and had a salad instead! I guess that's my positive affirmation for the day!

I am back from the babys doc appt and he does not have bronchitis, thank goodness, but he does have a sinus infection and the doc found a heart murmur. But he said sometimes those show up when kids are sick and then can be gone when they are well, so I have to take him back in 1 month to have it checked again. I have a perscription for meds for him, so hopefully he will get better fast.
Looks like I maybe having an off plan dinner tonight, I am going out to Mexican with some friends. My friend is going away to Alaska for a few months to have surgery, her mom is going to take care of her during recovery, then she will come back here sometime in the summer. She wants to have margaitas and the whole deal, so we will see how i feel when i get there. Vero- Thats great news that you finally get to go back to Texas which you have missed so much, just in time for the blazing hot summer lol. I used to live in Dallas. Anyway, the baby is napping and I am going to do some research online about heart murmurs, I am not very familiar with them. Talk to you later girlies, Kelly

Vero - CONGRATS!
So happy for you to be "heading home".Never did get back last night like I was planning. I had a lot to do at home last night. My workout rocked, though! This week my trainer has me focusing on shoulders, chest and back and my arms and torso from elbow to shoulder are wicked sore. Got up this morning and went back to the gym for my cardio workout. Was planning 35 min elliptical and 20 min treadmill. Got the elliptical in but 1/2 way through my treadmill section something happened. I was walking away, watching TV...suddenly my right ankle rolled over, my right leg went out from under me, my left leg kept moving back and down I went. Almost did a split but my left elbow hit the stop button on the treadmill when I went down. My ankle is a little tender but otherwise all that was hurt is my pride. Good thing I don't have much! Best thing that happened though, I got back up and did another 6 or so minutes. I was really proud for not giving up. I only stopped because my ankle was really starting to protest.Today's eats B: 2 sl bean bread, 2 sl turkey sausage, venti xhot no foam skinny cinnamon dolce latte S: none L: large salad w/ lettuce, tomato, 1/2 avocado and dressing S: none, I forgot to pack one D: not sure yet, most likely big salad S: nsa fudgesicle water: 80-100 oz. (up to 48oz so far) exercise: 35 min elliptical and 15 min treadmill (almost 4 miles, 545 calories) Ok...accupuncture>>> Here's what the doc told me. I have a candida infestation that is causing insulin resistance and I also have hypothyroidism. So, he "prescribed" his 7 week program to detox me. This includes the following: 1. Colon Hydrothearpy - which is exactly what it sounds like. Google it. 2. Introduction of Friendly Intestinal Flora 3. "Anti-Candida Diet" 4. Herbal Supplements 5. Accupuncture for appetite control and to boost metabolism All in all, it doesn't sound bad. DF had amazing results using holistic healing methods. I am a bit speculative but I look at DFs amazing results and think, how could this hurt? The diet is more restrictive than SB but would only be for a few weeks or at most a few months. I'm seriously considering trying this. I just hope I don't end up feeling like a shmuck! ![]() RE:Crackslaw - I think we all play around with the recipe. I use ground turkey, cabbage, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn, onion, green onion, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, chili flakes and toasted sesame oil. Kelly - Glad to hear your appointment went well. Hope DS is doing better soon! I had my cholesterol checked recently and my levels are all well within normal now. Cindy/Tina - I'm with Lily on this one...egg creams? ![]() Dani - the new avi! Rock that porcelain skin...some girls would die for it!Liz - Wedding bells? So exciting for you and Brad! I know you were just "talking" but you never know! Marsha - DHs AND DFs are useless sometimes. Silly boys. ![]() Never got a chance to post this yesterday but I had a great NSV! I went shopping at AVENUE on Sunday and I got some new clothes. The most significant of which were a pair of capris in size 22 and a pretty skirt in size 20...both of which I fit into! The pants I own now are all 24s. I was just so excited!Ok...gotta get back to work. I think that's more than enough for one day. Oh, real quick though, BIGGEST LOSER FINALE TONIGHT!!! Can't freakin' wait! ![]()

Evening, Beacher Babes.
I finally have some time to myself. I'm tired of the outage already and it's only day 2. ![]() Went out to breakfast with DH and "the boys" - Sr. Citizen day at Eat 'N Park, you know. I had the breakfast buffet and it wasn't actually bad. Here's my eats for today: B - 2 helping of scrambled eggs, 3 pcs. reg. bacon , 2 sausage patties, 2 sm. pcs. cantalope, 4 grapes. L - 2 wasa rye crisps w/NPB S - handful of roasted chick peas, 4 dark choc. kisses D - leftover veggie soup, big salad w/egg & lf ranch, ff/sf choc. pudding All in all not too bad on the breakfast but it looks rather Atkinsy. That's OK cause it reminded me just how important it is for me to eat a good breakfast. It truly does set up the day and I haven't been munching at all today. ![]() Tina - I went and looked at the Main board about the cruise. Boy, it sure sounds like fun but I bet DH wouldn't go for it. I think it would be more fun to plan something "family" maybe at a beach or lake somewhere. That way maybe the $$ wouldn't been as steep plus we could meet most of the kids. Might be worth thinking about though. OR we can all just meet up and Elizabeth's wedding!! Whatta you think? We can be wedding crashers (that's a visual). Neesie - OMG if we're going to hand out demerits I'm sure I'll end up in the minus column. Ericha - WTG on the smaller pants! Don't it feel wonderful??? Kelly - to the baby. Thank goodness it wasn't brochitis. Little ones bounce back so quickly that he'll probably be driving you nuts by Thursday. Sick kids are just no fun at all.Vero - Girl, I just can't express how happy I am for you. You're finally going home. I bet you're dancing around the house right now and I don't blame you a bit. Elizabeth - wedding plans already???? Boy, that man moves fast!! You best keep us updated - us oldsters out here remember what is was like and love to relive it. to you and Brad. (Have to do this before I forget ) News on the DS24 front - he had "the talk" with DGF's dad last night. I think the guy is goofy cause he told DS and DGF to come back with a plan. What's up with that?? How can you have a plan when you're 24 and in the middle of changing jobs and graduating from College? I don't get it. Now DS doesn't know whether to propose or not. I, of course, told him to go ahead but he's afraid of pissing off the DGFs parents. Am I missing something here?Lily - Everyone told me to make the crackslaw with sesame oil and it tastes like the inside of an egg roll . That oil is a little pricey and the budget is tight right now so I'm doing without. Maybe after payday. ![]() Cindy - I've been catching up on reading the posts and I've got to say this - You're the best darn motivator and cheerleader here. What would we do without you? I'm sure I've been on here longer than my 1/2 hour lunch so I've got to go work some more.
