I can't eat nuts or I would eat the whole can or jar. Once I start then I want them all day long... I have no control over them but they do suppress my appetite.

You put a lot of stress on your ankles when you play golf. Especially, if you follow through right. I do ride, but I walk as much as I can, so I can get in more exercise.

Who are you and what have you done with Sharon???

Yeah same about the hormones. BUT then I remember how awful I was without the magic pills and stay on them So you are gaining control back Pam? Are you losing?

Pam are you taking the real thyroid or are you taking synthyroid? I was on synthryoid for years and felt crappy. It never did do me any good no matter what the dose. My new Dr. will not prescribe any synthroid for any of his patients. Just prescribes Armour Thyroid. He said he doesn't belive the synthroid works, as good as, the Armour Thyroid and he takes it himself, so he should know...synthyroid is made out of synthetics, and isn't the real stuff.

Even in the golf carts, by the 9th hole I've had more than a workout. No sissy sport, despite common myths.

It's fun, but a HARD workout.

You bet it is and you take more then 10,000 steps when you play golf.

Don't let anyone tell you that golf isn't a hard exercise.

The walking and golf ball chasing between cart runs doesn't bother me, because my legs are strong, but I have weak arms and driving those clubs for that length of time wears me out SO much.

It's great fun though. Wish I could go play with you. I don't have anybody to play with since my ex-boss left the company.

Oh well at our annual golf tournament it isn't like that. I guess that's what I was going by. Yeah they have to walk a little ways from the path to the ball but not very far. You must have to run the golf carts with your legs like the Flintstones.

I wish you could play with me too. We would be a great pair together.
Actually since I started golf my upper body strength is great. I can lift things now that I couldn't before. I have built muscles.

Yep, it isn't a sissy sport, and I Love It...

I wanted to play so bad yesterday when Tiger was playing. He came in second. That golf course is the hardest one to play at, and you don't chose to be a member, they chose you.
Beautiful place...The Masters is something to see.

You're very fortunate then to have this dr....I've yet to find one anywhere near me who will prescribe anything other than Synthroid.

Pam, I see that you read my post. Don't let it go. Tell your Dr. that you want Armour Thyroid!!!! The reason that they want to prescribe synthyroid is because they get more kick backs off of it.. Insist that your Dr. gives it to you...

My old Dr. didn't want to give me the natural hormone either, but I insisted and he finally gave in.

Well back to work!!!

Yeah I have to do better at keeping up on the weekends don't I!

Well lets see, I went canoeing with Jeff this weekend, got sunburnt a bit. I did wear sunscreen so only got sunburnt around my hairline, my forearms and a spot on my upper back that I missed.

Jeff's legs are ALL read though! It does look like I may end up getting tan here in spite of myself though.

Christopher had a soccer game we went to saturday...yesterday we cooked dinner together Baja chicken, a pasta salad (which I need to stay OUT of) but so proud of it I have to share....Made linguine with grape tomatos, I put in fire roasted red peppers, a bell pepper that was all chopped up, 2 scallions, matchstick carrots, and artichoke hearts with an olive oil dressing and fresh basil. Very good. I brought in a bunch to work today for Jeff for lunch

He joined my Gym this weekend, so after work today we're going to go to a spinning class. He said he'd come to my pilates classes on tues/thurs if I'd go to spinning with him mon/wed
