Make up some heroic story about how you were rescuing some little old lady from getting run over by an 18 wheeler

lol,

I could make him think I was rescuing HIS ice cream. then he'd feel like he owes me. never mind the fact that it was ice cream that I realized I am going to have to return (or throw away, if I don't get back across town) because I realized (as it fell) that it wasn't sealed but, well, it wouldn't be wrong to let him just ASSUME it was HIS that was falling now would it .

I was "around" here back then, though not posting here, so I'll add a quick bio.

I just turned 30 last Saturday.... I have been married for 12 years, this summer, and have two boys (turning 11 in July, and 9 in October - one in the 4th grade and the other in 2nd).

I have worked for 4 years in a K-12 setting, also volunteer daily helping kinder kids (my favorite) learn how to read, and am taking full time classes. I'll graduate with my AA on FRIDAY, June 13th (crazy huh?...LOL)... and am transferring to get my BA in Elementary Education. I want to teach k-3.

We live out in the country, have a Christmas tree farm, an orchard and small vineyard - and a lot of animals (indoor and out...).

There's the QUICKKKK version!...

I'm glad you've joined us.

Hi Ladies!!!!! Buried in homework. Bur.Ied. So, if you don't hear from me, send out a rescue squad with a triple shot would ya?

Guys just left for town... I am taking a break from the books to clean house, and decided to fly through here to catch up on posts. Should fly through it all since they are all gone, and not here to leave their muddy little prints.

to my girls.

Pizza and coconut cream pie the night before last, both from Costco...

Russ brought those home and some fresh flowers for the table.

He delivers it all and again says happy birthday!!!!.. What a nut... I think I'll keep him.

I'll be thrilled to eat anything if it means that I am not cooking for a night. That makes cold raviolis out of a can sound gourmet.

my bio that I posted awhile back since I wasn't in this thread in 2005 either.

I turned 41 in February, also celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Feb.

I have 3 kids.
ds24 (he's my step son but I claim him for mine ) He lives about 1 1/2 hours away and works at Lowes.
dd19 (Freshman in college. taking pre reqs to get into nursing school)
dd17 (Junior in high school, taking a fire science program that is 2 periods out of the day at the fire station. right now I think she's leaning towards being a paramedic but isn't sure between that and fire fighter. if she passes the big test in June she will be an official volunteer firefighter this summer)

I work part time at a middle school helping students with reading and math (the ones that are below standards. we mostly do basic math so I can do that. much harder and I'd be in trouble, lol). I also coach a "girls on track (got)" team after school on tue/thurs. it is a curriuculum based program that trains the girls to do a 5k (they can run or walk it) but also is geared to help work on their self esteem. the program is written to prevent things like teen pregnancies, suicide, drugs/alcohol, eating disorders, etc. basicaly things that low self esteem lead to. we are planning to do another session in the fall, but we'll see if that pans out or not. middle school girls are not easy, lol.

my husband is an electrician at a paper mill in town. He works shift work 4 days on 4 days off (but he has been working a lot of over time. unfortunately the overtime is slowing down. they've told him he can only do 1 day of overtime each rotation now. bitter sweet. the extra money has been nice to help build up a savings but it'll be nice to have him home more too).

there ya have it. that's me in a nutshell. if any of you have questions feel free to ask. I'm more than happy to share .
