good morning my lovelies...

Well girls I am kicking myself in the butt today. My weight just keeps on blooming, so back to CAD, ya I know, everyone tells me not to change plans all the time, so I don't need to hear it, but I have got to do something. Why is it so hard for us to lose right now. I am really distraught this morning. I will keep my MOUTH SHUT and not eat things that are not good for me...Enough said, I just want your support...

We've had a fabulous time...

Russ is planning a birthday bash for next weekend (I talked him out of this weekend because my sister and I didn't want to "share" each other with any other company!...LOL Yaiiieee!!!!).

Last night he says "You HAVE to have a birthday party - because your turning THIRTY." Anyways, suffice to say that I feel like this weekend was what I would want most (my "real" b-day is tomorrow) and I definetely got it!

Next week will be rowdy and loud with a full house...lol

You got it Patty!!! You really do have to do what you know works for your body - not what's worked for someone else!

I'm very pleased that I stayed on plan all weekend, in spite of several meals out and a cookout last night with our kids!

Also, we avoided what could have been a serious injury last night! Thank God for his protection!!! The grandkids were upstairs playing after dinner and Jacob (3 yrs old) decided to ride a little plastic scooter type car down the stairs. All we heard was this horrible banging and crashing and then his cries as he landed on the landing. His mother (my DIL who is 33 weeks pregnant) almost killed herself getting to him, and then we were terrified that he had knocked his front teeth out - nothing more than a split lip and being the boy he is....5 minutes later he's back to running around and riding the little car...only downstairs now! I lost 5 years off my life at least!!! What am I gonna do with 3 boys running around soon? Sheesh!!!

I think its very important that we constantly strive to find that balance in our lives - that allows us to enjoy the infinite blessings that surround us. It's not always easy, although it's ALWAYS worthwhile.

Breakfast was chicken tenders. Haven't decided on lunch, planned to fix chicken peskitori for dinner, but after reading here, I decided to go visit Pam for bison burger

Pam, I am so very glad that your GS wasn't hurt badly. We have had a few close calls with our Grandchildren, too. A couple years ago, MiKayla was playing in the bedroom where our weight machine is and the weights fell on her hand and crushed her fingers. She wouldn't let me tell her Mom because she was afraid she would be in trouble. Thank goodness Lindsay had the good since to get the weights off her fingers real fast. Mikey took some Ibuprofen and you wouldn't even know that she got hurt. She has a very high tolerance for pain. When Melanie came in from fishing Mikey blocked the door so I couldn't tell her Mom. I told Melanie not to get onto her that it was just an accident and she said Mikey knows better then to play with the machine and the girl hasn't touched it since. I was so scared. I just knew her fingers were cut off, but God had his hands on her.

Patty isn't it just a horrible feeling when they get hurt at your house? That's the hard part of being a grandparent...you know from experience that they're going to get hurt, you just don't want it to happen near you! lol
