Jo

back Debra

Hoping D feels better quickly

Hoping W feels better quickly too

Hoping Terry's MRI proves nothing serious

Lori............... stuffed cabbage...........we call them Kalishkas. We use rice & raisins in the meat mixture. YUMMY!

Wild tuna & wasabi doesn't sound too shabby either..........

We added a new flower bed today.......................planted 50 plants ..............this years major project is landscaping. We also installed a red paver path thru the gardens. It's looking very "botanical" out there.

Just finished a 50 minute Yoga practice and now its time to just relax.

Wishing you all a peaceful & serene evening! Namaste!

It was shocking! $5,000 just gets you started! We're going to talk to some more landscapers. I don't think DH liked the guy we talked to today. He's kind of a blowhard, if you know what I mean.

Good morning Sayonara Carbonara Super Friends

Lori, thanks for the interesting art... where to go see it bigger?

Jenn, your yard sounds like it is going to be fantastic.

I think you should get references from a landscaper and then go visit the job he has done and speak to the owners.... a blowhard might do fantastic work.. a con man may be convincing and do a bad job... just my 2 cents.

Well, well my mushroom is gone when wearing my 4's jeans shorts.. while standing sitting there is a small overflow

I am getting ready to order these shorts in 2 more colors.. they are my favorite play clothes and keep me thinking thin and eating small..

I am needing to get up from my coffee and go do my chores so I can go to the boat for a bit and then on to mom's, salmon for dinner... yum...
Love my food on LC... not sure what veg... probably romaine.. my fav.

Getting into the 120's is soooo close I am getting very excited.... the more excited I get the better I eat... and less I drink... wine or rum and ginger beer.

Ginger Beer is not ginger ale... you can get Ginger Beer in any Latin store...
finding the sugar free one is not easy... it is made by Waitrose a British Company and is called light... but has no calories or carbs.

Guess I am going to go boil eggs for myself and my macaws... they love them..

Jo so nice to see you.... keep posting with us and tell us how your son is doing...

May you be blessed with peace and happiness as you celebrate Passover, Jenn & Tap

James - I use Photobucket. In fact, I have a paid account there - have had it for several years

Lori - Interesting painting. I'm not an art lover at all, but I do enjoy seeing the artwork that you post

Jenn - I imagine your place looks beautiful

Pammy & Marie - We wish we had a boat. D has talked about it for years. My ex had boats (a big one and a little one) and I loved them. With all of D's health problems we never bought one but with all the rivers and fishing around here it would have been nice

POGO peeps ... I still haven't finished Phlinx. I haven't even started Bad's yet

It is cold today too - they are predicting more hail, snow and whatever through tomorrow

have a great day ... all around

Pam, the blowhard is doing our next door neighbor's yard, and there have been some problems. He's rarely there to supervise the men, and they've done some stupid things that made the neighbor angry. Things like driving over his sprinkler heads with a backhoe and breaking them off. They were the ones who installed the sprinklers in the first place. You'd think they'd value their own work enough not to destroy it. They also dumped dirt into his drain system and he was out there digging it out. I was thinking that if they had done it to me, I wouldn't be the one on my hands and knees digging, it would be the ones who did it. So we are not 100% confident in how the job would get done. This guy was putting down other landscapers in the area, and we thought it was in bad taste. That's why we think of him as kind of a blowhard.

Terry - D wouldn't have even talked to the guy about doing our yard if he was doing such a lousy job next door

DH didn't know about all of that. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but we're just unimpressed all around. Actually, the yard next door is looking quite nice. What we don't like is that he's not around to keep an eye on things. We have no idea where he gets off to, but he's rarely here to supervise.

That makes sense. I probably would have done the same thing if D didn't already know about all the problems next door.

The only reason I know about the problems next door is that my mom heard the neighbor talking to his wife about it. We did, however, observe that the men were here working all the time without any supervision.
