HOw many acres do you garden Carol? It's very hard work I know, but it sure is pretty. I can only grow veggies well, not so great with flowers. And I gave up veggie gardening when my kids grew up. Now we go to the Farmer's Market every Sat. and support our local growers, lol.
I'm so happy Alli won last night. She "saw" herself winning clear down to the confetti falling and never let go of her vision. I think I could learn alot from that girl! I sure hope they all keep it off. Has anybody heard if the past contestants have kept it off?

Just got back from seeing my dad, he looks better today, they want to put him in a nursing home, until he gets strong and then maybe home. He lives by himself since my mom died almost 8 yrs. ago.
I also made up my mind not to join the WW group for the meetings at this time, I will take my $100. and go shopping tomorrow and buy some new quilting fabric. I'm going to make myself a quilt, something just for me. Since I will be having so much time on my hands, I should do something that makes me happy and that's is quilting. The weather here in WI today is great "70"

Hi everyone -
Kind of a dead thread  but I know everyone is busy. Just trying to find a routine for the new job this week  I did not get to see BL but am very glad Ali won  I was down 4 lbs at my meeting this week and have now entered the 140's  needless to say it has been a while and now will work my 6 weeks maintenance etc...very cool, a little scary and extremely exciting.Carol -Glad you are getting some great weather  Hope you all have a great day!   PS - I will figure out a place to post a few pics when I get to lifetime - don't really want to do it here and then will let you all know!

Patty -  OMG I can't wait to see your pictures. What a success story! Is WW recruiting you to be a leader? Your story should definitely be in their magazine!  I'm so proud of you Hi everyone - stopping in during a tiny lull in the day! Just got off the phone with my VP - tomorrow is her last day before maternity leave, she won't be back until the end of August so we needed to tie up some ends. Told her I'm thinking of working from home a few days a week after the girl I am covering for gets back from maternity (everyone around here is having babies!  ). She was fine with it, so I'll probably start with Mondays & Fridays at home! Gotta get back to it. & for everyone....

Good morning!
Jenn: Glad you finally got your new modem! I feel so out of it...I miss spending time on here chatting....hope to have time to recharge myself this weekend.....very very tired the last couple of days. My vet appointment is a little later than usual tomorrow. Taking 2 frenchies in to the vet's. Coffee for just a check up and heartworm test and Roy for his weekly shot. He is back on antibiotics. His spots started coming back.....We are giving him a little more time since he has had this problem for so long.....then weigh our other options..... they are all sleeping with me on the couch right now. Two frenchies snoring, one lab stretched out....

Hi Jenn, I'm glad you're up and runnin' again. I feel a bit out of the loop too. I've been so busy with the parents' and their appts. and needs this week and next week looks like more of the same. And I woke up this morning with my back out and my chiro out of the office. So I'm trying to ice it down and treat it with ibuprofen. And crossing my fingers, lol.
Patty, I can't wait to see the pics!! You should become a leader! Marie, poor Roy. Have a good one. Hugs for everybody, step right up!! |

I also want to see Patty pics....you could PM them to us if you don't want to go public....
..Popping in quickly with a report....I've been out of the office so much with W appts that I just have to give it my all....one more appt this afternoon and then nothing for a couple of weeks.... I miss you all so much but life has been crazy with my diabetic scare and W's health issues.... I'm still OP and doing really well...I dropped another lb today for 8 in a bit over 3 weeks.... ....I think I've found a WOE and WOL that I can actually see myself sticking with forever.......W has been diagnosed with Dermatomyositis...an autoimmune disorder .....we are feeling a sense of relief with knowing but it is a very serious thing and with medication we will soon get it under control and get him out of the wheelchair he's been in for the last couple of weeks...... Anyway that is what has been happening.....thank you all for your thoughts and prayers...

Friday already, time sure does fly when your home all week working on things that you just don't have time for.
It's 45 and raining today - so I'm headed for my sewing room and will start me new quilt today. This will be good for me and keep me away from food, I'm a little stressed with my job and now with dad. Plus my up coming visit to see DD in Boston. They moved my dad to a nursing home yesterday, till he gets stronger, then he needs an operation. So this will be an on going thing all summer or longer. to everyone have a great up coming weekend. |

to Lise and Sandy. Sandy, we did the dad thing with my father the last 8 years of his life, and trying to keep Mom's spirits up was difficult at times. Hope your dad does well and don't forget to take time for yourself, okay??? Lise, how is W feeling? I hope things get better for him. I don't know if I missed it, but do you know what is wrong are you still waiting for a diagnosis? Can't remember. I had my weigh in today and I lost 1.6 pounds. That's 13.1 for me so far. (53 more to go) Sending hugs all around for everyone. Going to bed, didn't get to sleep til after 4 and then I found out at work that we felt the earthquake and I slept through it. I took some Advil p.m. at 3:45 and I guess it worked!!!

Good morning..getting ready to blast off here.....heading to W's dad this morning...W has decided he feels well enough to come along....
...Kate and I were going to take our time and stop at some country stores and W says that's okay....man is he mellowing... ....now he has fallen back asleep on the couch so I'm waiting for him to wake up so we can eat and then we are going to blast into a country road trip...Rebecca....W has Dermatomyositis...it's an autoimmune disease and he is taking large doses of prednisone to get it under control...day 3 of treatment today....woot woot on your weight loss you are doing so well... Lise, I'm so glad they've discovered exactly what W has. Hopefully the meds will help him and he can get back to feeling great soon. Prednisone is a wonderful drug for so many things. It's what got me my hearing back! Does he have to be on it long term or for a short course? Have fun on your day trip.
Thanks for all the loving thoughts for me. I am trying to keep everything balanced. Some days it's just harder than others. Right now I'm trying to organize a birthday celebration for Mom. Her birthday is in 2 weeks. 77 years old! |
