I'm jumping on the challenge wagon!
I've been reading all the posts regarding egg creams and I would like to step up to the challenge. I would like to be 130 by Memorial Day (currently 140). These sound really good and easy. I'm getting tired of trying to think of things to make - I'm a simple girl and don't have much time in the morning.
I'll keep everyone posted on my progress. Jen |

I just want to break this cycle of yo-yoing before I can focus on losing again. I've gained and lost the same five pounds since December and I'm tired of it! I bounce between 134 and 129, sometimes going as low as 126, but not staying there! I want to get my weight to a stable 125 and then focus on getting back down to between 105 and 110. So my goal is to stay out of the 130s, then move steadily down. I'll set my Memorial Day goal at 120.
My plan is to have an egg cream for breakfast and lunch, then have a healthy dinner and stop eating by 8 p.m. I also plan to exercise a minimum of five times a week, for at least 40 minutes each session.

I would love to join this thread also. My goal is to be in the 120's by Memorial Day and stay there. I just started egg creams yesterday. I mix mine with Chai, a little da vinci's, a little cream, and sometimes whey protein. Yesterday I did 2 eggs, cream, whey protein, da vinci's, and chai. Today I did 4 eggs, chai, da vinci's, cream, and coconut oil. I feel much much much more full today than yesterday. However, I drink mine cold and had a bunch of solid coconut oil at the bottom of my drink so I did not really get the full benefits of the coconut oil. Still, these are the most delicious things I have ever had. Tastes just like egg nog/chai. I hope these help break the stall I have been on for months.

I'm going to ask a silly question but what's an egg cream? How do you make it?

I also forgot to add that after this mornings breakfast I have so much energy, it is ridiculous. I feel like I could run a marathon, too bad I am at work. I think I need to have this for dinner too because this energy would be great for my workout.
PP- There are a lot of variations going on but if you search the main lobby board you will find a few threads. I use 5 ounces chai, 2 eggs, vanilla da vinci's, and coconut oil to make mine. It is a creamy, yummy shake and some people are noticing that it helps break stalls and such. HTH Brandi |

Some people are making them with coffee, some with tea ( I love the fruit flavored teas) and I realised they are really really good with diet soda too!
I like it with coconut oil, or with out. when I drink it cold I dont use the coconut oil, because it clumps. |

I posted this on the other thread, thought I'd copy and paste it here too.
I plan on having at least 1 shake a day for lunch and occassionally one for dinner too or maybe a dessert if I want it. I just love these - they're so filling and keep me full for hours!!! I'm hoping these egg/protein shakes will help me lose weight even faster! My goal is to lose at least 2 pounds a week until I get to goal! I tried my own egg cream protein shake and it was very good! It tasted just like a strawberry milkshake when I was done with it. It did keep me full for hours! Now, I try not to watch my fat intake a bit, so here's how I made mine: In a blender combine: Frozen Strawberries 2 egg whites 4 oz. vanilla soy milk 4 oz. water 1 T. of ff sour cream 1/2 scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder splenda ice I'm also a little worried about the eggs - so I first mixed the eggs and soy milk and simmered that to make it sort of a thick custard first. My kids share this with me, so I just try to be careful. I really loved this and use to make a low carb strawberry shake like this before that you added an egg to. It would fill me up for hours and I had wondered why -but I'm sure it was the protein from the egg and fat from the heavy cream(it's what I used to use at the time).

This is so cool and I'm so excited. Silly me. I tried the coconut oil for the first time at lunch. I only did 1 T and it was fine. It's almost 3 hours later and I'm still full and did not get nauseus at all, I'm glad. The Coconut oil did take a long time to melt in the micro though, is that normal?
I used the new peanut flour I got from Byrd mill the other day. It was so excellent. Choco mocha pb shake 1 oz. heavy cream 1 egg 1 Tablespoon coconut oil, melted 1 scoop vanilla protein powder a dash of DaVinci caramel 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder(could have used less) 2 Tablespoons peanut flour(could have used less) 6 oz. coffee 4 oz. hot water Whirled it all up in my new Rocket(Like magic bullet but cheaper from Kohls) and enjoyed it hot. |

Can I join? I have been lurking since Kimmergate but have been trying to get back on track. Unfortunately I overdid it last night with rum and cokes with my new boyfriend (sheriff deputy) so I need to get back on track. With my job, this would be a great thing to keep at work to keep me from the junkfood.
I have cinnamon swirl coffee and that made a pretty tasty egg cream. |

Weight training 3 days per week HIIT, 4-5 days per week At least 96oz water per day My goal is 160 by August 15, when 2 weeks of vacation begins. |

I'm in also. I have been stalled since Easter and would like to get to my goal weight by Memorial Day (10 lbs down to 128).I'll have one or two shakes per day made with diet Jones cream soda, 2 eggs, 1 T Heavy Cream & 1 T of CO if I can figure out how to get it to not clump up. Will also eat one LC meal per day. Walk in the mall for 50 minutes 3 to 5 times per week. Barbara ![]() |

Good morning everyone!
This morning I made my egg cream with two egg yolks. I can't eat more than one whole egg at a time without feeling uncomfortably full, so I decided to do two yolks and save the whites for an omlette for dinner. It's so rich and wonderful with just the yolks, and as long as I don't waste the whites, I don't mind doing it this way. |

I myself had a eggcream for dinner last night, and another one today for breakfast. Gosh I'm so tired though! I slept well last night too, I went to bed at like 11pm and slept till like 7am. Maybe because I never worked out yesterday.
I Just hope that I can lose a few more lbs by next friday for my sister in laws wedding! |

I just made an Egg Cream with Hot coffee, 1 T CO, 2 eggs + a few squirts of Carmel splenda sweetened syrup. It came out very frothy & tastes good. I need to buy more heavy cream since I had to throw out what was in the fridge since it didn't smell right.
If anyone has any ideas on how to get the CO from NOT clumping in diet soda please offer advice. I wonder if some boiling water would help before putting in the soda. |

Hi all, I did my first day of 2 shakes yesterday and a delicious steak for dinner. Yummo. It was a very long day because I work 2 part time jobs and left at 7:45 and didn't return home for the day till 7 at night. I lost 1 pound. That is especially awesome because TOM is due anyday now.
I tried today's egg cream with flax. Don't do it. It was gross and I still have grit in my throat even though I've already had a quart of water. UGH. |

I made an egg cream yesterday when I got home from work (3:00 pm). Oh my gosh was it delicious! I used 3 whole eggs, 1/4 cup heavy cream, T of sf divinci vanilla, cinnamon & nutmeg. Poured this over ice - loved it! I had a couple Romaine Lettuce leaves filled will chicken and mayo for dinner. I was down a lb this morning - yay!
I only have enough eggs for my breakfast egg cream and will then have to stop by the store. I'm also out of sf divinci. I love the idea of adding sf soda - especially the cream soda. I think we should start a section in the recipes on egg creams. That way when we want to try a different variation we don't have to scan all the posts from this section or the or section that was started regarding egg creams??????? Did someone mention that they made up a big batch of egg creams ahead of time and just mixed really well in between? I'd like to make my breakfast and lunch egg cream all at once and then take my lunch portion with me to work in a separate container. Do you think it will still be okay sitting in the frig for 4 hours? Jen 169/141/130 Start 09/19/07 |

Jen I was wondering the same thing.
I was wondering if I could amke a huge jar of the cream, sweetner, egg mixture to keep in the fridge and use as needed, maybe just give it a good shake before I take some out. |
