I see I'm not the only one retaining fluid. I am thinking this is because when I cook my eggs, I put sea salt on them, but doing the ec, I am not getting the sea salt. I know that it helps me with the fluid, so I guess I will start doing sea salt shooters for a few days and see if that makes a difference.

Has anybody found that if you have egg creams twice a day, would that cause a stall? I want to try, but hesitant. Any good advice to convince me? Last edited by Moretta : 04-23-2008 at 11:27 AM. |

Does anyone use 2 TBS of CO?
I have been using one in each ec, total of two per day and tolerated it with no problems for about a week. I'm thinking of upping my lunch version to 2TBS of CO. Anyone do this? Thanks, |

Today is my first day with the egg creams. They are really good. I actually believe I can stick to this way of eating because of these egg creams. Yipee! I don't have to choke down scrambled eggs every morning. What a relief!
Here's what I've done for breakfast and lunch: Breakfast Shake 2 whole eggs 4 oz. Indian Spice Tea 1 T. Coconut Oil 1/8 cup heavy whipping cream 3 ice cubes 2 tsp. Sugar-free caramel syrup Ground Cinnamon to Taste This one was pretty tasty, but I think it could have used more of the syrup. It was slightly bland, but I would have it again---and it is MUCH better than plain eggs for breakfast, in my opinion! Lunch: 2 eggs 4 oz. strong coffee 1 T. Coconut Oil a little less than 1/4 c. heavy whipping cream 3 ice cubes 3 tsp. Sugar-free caramel syrup Ground Cinnamon to Taste I melted the coconut oil in the hot coffee and then added it to the egg/cream mixture and I didn't have the clumps of coconut oil. I think this one is absolutely delicious. I added more syrup, more cinnamon and a little more cream. I also think the coffee combination is a delicious taste. Thanks for the inspiration here. I'm hoping to see big....or should I say small....results! |

I started with one egg, then went to two eggs & now I'm having 3 eggs in one Egg Cream. If I was having 2 EC a day I would probably have 2 eggs instead of the three.

You guys are all doing great!
Keep the ideas flowing! lemonmama what is indian spice tea? it sounds delish! and what is the brand? For breakfast I had my jello strawberry mix.. I let it sit overnight and it was like PUDDING this morning, OMG SO SO SOSOSOSOSOSO GOOD! I used 2 eggs 2 T heavy cream 2 splashes vanilla sugarfree torani syrup 5 drops of stevia and half a packet of strawberry sugarfree jello dissolved in a coffee mug of hot water. I let it sit over night and it was AMAZING! Today I had a bad lunch! my general manager took a few of us out for administrative assistants day (to this amazing sushi spot called Fushimi) omg its amazing.. I had a huge plate of sashimi (just the pieces no rice) and they made me taste 3 rolls (ugh white rice) and I had a glass of plum wine. I'm prob out of ketosis But I thin kwhen I get home later I will go for a long walk with my daughter in the stroller and try to work up a nice sweat. Im also going to have an eggcream for dinner since i was naughty for lunch...

Ugh--I don't know what happened but my lunch egg cream had solids in it and it was just gross, I had to spit it up in the sink. I melted the coconut oil in coffee in the micro, added 2 eggs to some almond milk with choc whey protein--mixed all together, added a splash of Kahlua davinci and it had lumps!!!! I'm thinking the almond milk was bad as dh said his stomach felt bad after he had ec for lunch too. I know I didn't cook the eggs. Any ideas?

Kerry I know you said you didn't really care for the coffee ones, but the hot beverage seems to be the trick to keeping the CO from clumping, even if you refrigerate afterward. This am I poured hot coffee on the co and stirred to melt and then added eggs, etc and used stick blender to mix. Stuck it in the freezer while I had my shower & got ready. 20 mins later it was cool, but not cold and all ingredients were still blended. Don't know what would happen if it was in there longer.

This morning - a slight revision...
3 egg yolks (no whites like yesterday) 1 full scoop greens & whey protein powder 3/4 tsp davinci hazelnut sf syrup 3 drops stevia 4 oz coffee blended and refrigerated overnight this morning added 4 more oz hot coffee (so I could melt my co) and 1Tb CO. Added into cup & re-blended. My original intent was to have it warm like coffee, but due to the majority of the liquid being cold already it was lukewarm - so I decided to go cold instead and am now refrigerating it at work until it's cold enough to drink. Also, adding more greens & whey gives it a bit of a strange flavor. I've bought it so I've got to use it now, but perhaps a coffee flavor isn't the best complement. Anyone else using greens & whey & if so how are you flavoring the egg cream when you use it? Just fyi on the weight side of things - I've been stalled at 192 since 3/31. Some days over, but never below and consistently right on that number. FINALLY this morning, after eating my inaugural egg cream yesterday, I was at 190.5!!! Yay for egg creams!!! |

I haven't started yet. I have ordered for the first time the Coconut Oil and I think will start once that arrives for more fullness. Also, I am going to be starting the TOM any moment now. sigh......
I weighed myself this morning and went up 800 grams I guess that is probably due to the bloating. I guess from reading other posts TOM can really put you up a little on the scale.I will still be posting here, if you all don't mind. Once I get my CO I will start full fledge. I see alot of you are losing Keep up the good work. |

OurLuvsFromAbove (great name by the way!)--I checked the name on the tea and it is Celestial Seasonings, Teahouse Chai, Original India Spice.
It's really tasty! Well, this morning I tried a new egg cream combo. This one may be my fave so far: 4 oz. strong hot coffee 1 T Coconut Oil (dissolve in the hot coffee) 2 whole eggs 1/4 c. cream 1 heaping T. cream cheese 3 tsp. sugar free caramel syrup 3 ice cubes cinnamon Obviously, this isn't the best if you are trying to do a lower fat version of the egg cream. But I'm doing low-carb induction, so high fat doesn't seem to be a problem. In fact, since Monday I have lost five pounds! I know some of it is water, but I'll take it. I've been having the egg creams once to twice a day. Last edited by lemonmama : 04-24-2008 at 07:57 AM. |

wow lemonmama Way to goooo! keep up the good work!
Are you a lemon flavor fan like I am? If so you HAVE to try the sugar free jello verson with sugar free lemon jello.. And if you leave it in the fridge over night, and then stir it, its JUST LIKE LEMON PUDDING! Mmmmmm |

I've been lurking because I'm out of town right now, and only online occasionally.
The egg creams are working well even though I'm in my parent's (no blender) home. I scramble eggs for whomever wants them in the morning and then mix my egg creams. I notice that I don't miss the cream when I use the coconut oil, so I'm doing just the eggs and co for now. I 'bend' my no-sweetner rule for the creams now, so I use the orange drink powder with splenda and hot water (nuke it) as I like mine warm. I can do the coffee powder too here, but no way to brew coffee as the family doesn't like anything but powder. (blech!) ![]() I'll know about the weight when I get back home. But I did realize that NOT cooking the eggs helps a lot with appetite AND having the co makes a huge difference in my desire to late-night binge. With so much going on at home, it is hard to avoid emotional eating and the egg creams are helping a lot with that.
